I recently visited Academy Sports to purchase a weight plate set with a bar, and I must say, my experience exceeded my expectations. Not only did I find the equipment I needed for a great deal, but I also encountered exceptional customer service. Upon arriving at the store, I realized I also needed an air pump for my basketball, as it was getting low on air. Unfortunately, the air pumps available didn't have the specific needle I required. However, an associate, whose name I regrettably didn't catch, went above and beyond to assist me. He promptly located the needle I needed and provided it to me at no extra charge.I was genuinely impressed by the associate's attentiveness and willingness to ensure I had everything I needed for my purchase. His gesture of going out of his way to find the needle exemplifies Academy Sports' commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, my experience at Academy Sports was excellent, thanks to the helpful and courteous staff. I highly recommend Academy Sports to anyone in need of quality sports equipment and exceptional service.

Our family often shops this store all the way from clothes, fishing, shoes and guns or ammo. Prices are reasonable the staff are nice and the store feels welcoming which is nice I do not feel that at a lot of places in town. Very nice store

Hadn't been to this store in years and it was better than I remembered or expected. Larger selection of sporting goods than I was thinking and also had name brand clothes like Northface, Underarmour and shoes from Brooks to Nike for everyone ; definitely going to make this store one of my regular stops now. Get their store credit card for additional savings and offers that put more money back in your pocket!

It's a great sports and outdoor store, IMO it's better than anything else in a 30 miles radius even BPS. There is always great sale items and they carry everything that I have ever needed so far including this wood baseball bat that I customized for home defense just in case the stun gun or real gun isn't easy to reach.

Good place to get decent prices on firearms. Fairly competitive ammo prices too. It also seems to have a good assortment of your other sporting goods. A great place to go and opt out of spending your money with a Richard. Haha

They don't over charge for gun related items like a lot of other places have started doing.

Academy Sports has all your sports and outdoor needs. Professional friendly staff, and a clean spacious well stocked store. Today we brought cheer shoes for my daughter, we were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Highly recommend Academy Sports in Smyrna!
