Steak 'n Shake

First time at a steak and shake and it didn’t disappoint! The place was EXTREMELY clean - especially for a fast food restaurant! I had western bbq burger and my wife had a garlic steak burger. Both were tasty but the garlic one was exceptional. For “fast food” we would totally go there again!

Definitely the fanciest Steak and Shake I’ve seen! The service is great, the only thing that could be done better is cleaning, it’s kind of grimy in the restaurant. It’s sad to see how few people are even in the drive thru, but the food and shakes do not disappoint! Hopefully this franchise will stay afloat.

Like going back in time (except the self-service touchscreen kiosks). Good fast burger joint food. This is the way.

The overall experience of a first timer was excellent. That's right, a first timer. The courtesy of the staff is unparalleled to any other establishment in the area. I highly recommend the double. I have heard stories of dipping the fries in cheese sauce. Buddy, that was delicious. The staff at this location helped me decide on a first time original and backed it up with a snickers milk shake. Price point is fair. I was greeted with a smile and everyone seemed to really enjoy working there. Smiles all around. If your looking for a great burger and a milkshake give it a shot. Not to long of a wait either. 9.5 out of 10.

Stopped in for a bite and the food was fresh and hot. The restaurant could have used some cleaning as it was not very busy and there many dirty tables. But the staff were nice and the service was good.

I recently grabbed lunch at Steak n Shake and went for their garlic double steakburger combo. It was a good choice for a classic fast-food burger.

The double patties were cooked well and delivered a satisfying meaty taste. The cheese offered a nice creamy counterpoint. The star of the show was the garlic. The garlicky spread and a hint of garlic salt added a subtle but noticeable flavor that fans of garlic will appreciate.

The fries were standard fast-food fare: thin and crispy. They were perfectly acceptable for dipping in ketchup or Steak Sauce.

Overall, Steak n Shake's garlic double steakburger combo is a reliable option for a quick and affordable lunch. It won't blow you away, but it hits the spot for a classic burger with a touch of garlicky goodness.

Ok! Have lived in Smyrna 16 years was excited for steak ‘n Shake to come here and tonight this is the milkshake that they thought I wanted and expected. Can’t understand what makes this experience so different than anything I’ve experienced in 20 years! I would assume that I won’t be coming back what say you?

the owner recognized me coming in tonight and explained that the method of making shakes had changed and brought me a free shake tonight while i sat inside to eat. this gesture means the world to me because he not only remembered the previous post, he recognized me from my profile pic (which is small but i really look just like it). that speaks volumes as to the character of the man and i applaud him for it and will always remember that gesture as STAND UP!!!! cheers sir!

Empty restaurant, short wait, delicious food, decently cheap, clean place, and nice service! I seriously recommend this place!

This place seems underappreciated since the place was nearly empty. The food is always good and pretty inexpensive, all things considered.

I like my food made fresh to order! The food is hot and the hamburger is juicy. You won’t find that with most other drive thru restaurants.

WOWW!!!! This place has changed so much and I love every bit of it!! I go to many restaurants😅 but this Steak ‘n Shake was very fun and respectful! I got this feeling like I was important and not just another stranger(which restaurants should be expected of).

The food is BOMB, like y’all need to try it out now. The shakes are very nice and tasted exquisite! I also love how they cleaned the floors now and it was a much more clean environment than last year.

Second time in two weeks I have stopped for dinner after getting off work. Staff was very polite and friendly. The staff remembered me and asked how the food was. I explained only one issue with onion rings cool, but all other food was hot and fresh. Staff appreciated the feedback and said they would make a note to improve. Seems like a staff that wants to succeed and are customer driven. 100% better than last owners. Have no reason to not stop again.

Updated at the bottom: (Steak ‘N Shake in general is a great restaurant however this location has always been disappointing! The inside is always gross even when they first opened. The quality of food from this location is always questionable. Tonight they were closed before 9pm when google clearly states 10pm as their closing time! I really hope someone important reads this so they can fire whoever manages this location!)

Tonight lady was super nice and friendly at the window! I usually just expect terrible service with fast food! Not only was the service great but and I hope I’m not getting anyone in trouble by saying this? The fries were absolutely amazing! Nice and SALTY it was amazing! Props to you guys keep it up food was great and had a good experience!

New Management seems to be the thing needed to put these place up to 5 stars. Employees are attentive and open for feed back and seem to be doing all they can to make the place a success. The food was hot and delicious, and the shakes were thick and cold. Much better then what was served in past.

One of the best locations I have ever been, very clean dining area, good atmosphere, great staff specially Dina who greeted us with her beautiful smile😊
What made my Son asking me to come back to this good place again in the future.
