La Fontaine Cafe

On a fall day to hide from pouring rain, we walked into this cute little café at Montclair, glad we did. They have positive energy and healthy items. Ordered matcha green tea with coconut milk and crepe with spinach and cheese (was filled nicely-it was definitely filling) and also a panini with cheese and turkish pepperoni (yummy!) Woman owned business and the owner is very nice, she also makes the food herself. Has nice seating and a cute corner (added photo) which I leveraged to work on my computer. It was also very reasonably priced. If in the area definitely good to try. They also have healthy shakes and pastries and coffee if you are on the go.

Came here to catch up with a friend. It was quiet and a cute space. The food was delicious! The Turkish bread chicken chipotle sandwich is one of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve had! I also took a bite of my friend’s savory crepe and that was delicious too.I ordered a pistachio latte and found they use real pistachio. Super yummy! Definitely recommend!

I had brunch at La Fontaine Cafe and ordered a Turkish bagel with spinach, egg, and cheese, which was delicious! Their strawberry and banana smoothie was amazing too.
The owner Pinar is very friendly, and the environment is very cute and cozy.
I definitely recommend this place!

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Super nice people and great service. The food was so tasty, healthy, and homemade! We had the chicken sandwich, spinach savory crepe, canolli crepe, and croissant. All were soooo delicious! Loved the cozy and lovely decoration of the cafe. Their coffee was top notch and i was happy to see all kinds of holiday season drinks on their menu.

Amazing Turkish and European inspired food and cafe in the heart of Montclair! The owner/operator Pinar is the sweetest and friendliest, and her delicious food always leaves you satisfied and wanting more! We Love the Doner sandwhich, chicken chipotle sandwhich, coffee and tea selection is amazing - go for the pistachio latte!! And if you’re lucky you meet Bade!!

This adorable café in Montclair, NJ that has the most amazing sandwiches on Turkish bread and delicious lattes. The owner is an absolute sweetheart! She's always there to help and make your experience extra special. I can't recommend this place enough, it's definitely deserving of a five-star review! 🌟😊

An absolute gem. The bread for every sandwich is amazing
Everything is homemade and it's probably the best grilled cheese I've ever had.
The crepes and coffee are absolute perfection. The staff and owner were very attentive and sweet.
The atmosphere was beautiful, someone brought a dog, it was great.

After moving to Montclair, there has not been a single week that I didn't visit La Fontaine and tasted one of the best sandwiches on this side of the pond. Every single bite of single sandwich I have tried is scrumptious and filled with just the right amount of meat, sauce and veggies to make it perfect. And at the end, its not just your tummy that is filled but your soul as well. Today I am having the Doner, a classic.

Pinar is an excellent host, and she can cater to your (feasible) specifications as needed. BTW, look for the celebrity Bade, if she's there. Some say 'lovely experience, will eat here again". Let me tell you, I DO come here, every week. Come, eat, and be merry.

I enjoyed a delightful lunch at La Fontaine Cafe today with a good friend. The Cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. It's tasteful decor and cozy interior enhance the dining experience. I had the veggie sandwich and it was delicious - fresh, tasty vegetables with a spicy sauce on the side. My friend loved her falafel sandwich. The owner brought us a sample of a fresh dessert she just made - it was wonderful & she is the sweetest! Highly recommend LA Fontaine Cafe !!!

I enjoyed a large Americano coffee after a long 12 mile walk while waiting for dinner at the pizza place across the street. The owner and her staff were delightful. The menu looks wonderful & I hope to be back to try their food. The coffee was top notch !

One of the best brunches I’ve ever had in New Jersey! My friend and I from a nearby town were looking for a brunch location that was in the area and didn’t have a long wait, as it had already been 2 PM and we had plans scheduled for the rest of the day, and what a joy it was to stumble upon this Turkish-infused French café! As a Turk myself, I felt excited to try out the sandwiches and crepes listed on the menu. I had ordered the Spinach and Feta Crepe (you could never go wrong with spinach and feta) and my friend went for the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, which were both very delicious choices. The portions were huge, of high quality ingredients, and definitely made by love from the owner, Pinar—absolutely well worth its price. We were left full for the majority of our day, pleased that we had decided to try something new. I left feeling very happy, as I got to converse with the owner in Turkish and thank her for her work. I would highly recommend this place for people stopping by Montclair—I will be returning to dine there again.

Really nice cute place! Walked in, wasn't too crowded at all, easy to come in and grab a quick bite. Saw others placing orders for pickup if you'd like to do so as well. Their Turkish bread egg & cheese was delicious, that bread was great. We also had the Spinach and White cheese crepe, which was really good as esp with the Turkish cheese. Friendly staff and very clean cozy environment! Overall would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back! Parking isn't too bad though I imagine that depends on your timing as it's all street parking.

Absolutely delicious. I had the Chipotle organic chicken sandwhich. Big portions too. My husband got the gyro sandwhich. He scarffed the whole thing down in ten mins. Would def come back! And great service! Good coffee too. :)

This is a wonderful cafe, run by the most amazing person. My wife and I had gone here with our cat and the owner of the cafe was so warm and welcoming, ready to help us by recommending the best things on the menu. We had the veggie sandwich, spinakopita and the chicken sandwich, and all 3 tasted incredible. The sweet creme at the end of the meal was incredible. Would go back and 100% recommend for anyone in the area.

Came here to catch a coffee and pastry and do a bit of reading. Such a lovely cafe with great coffee and pastries. Like the fact that it’s off the main drag and the owner seems to know everyone. Great service. Definitely recommend going for its welcoming atmosphere too.

Great cafe and service! Cutest decor and ambiance. Lots of options for people following different diets, many fresh, healthy options as well as tasty treats, baked goods, juices and smoothies. Even for your pets! I tried the brunch plate, spinach & cheese and Nutella & raspberry crepes, mango & pineapple smoothie, dessert combo and delicious iced latte. All delicious and homemade. I will be trying more!

Recently discovered this gem in Montclair. If you are looking for an authentic and truly delicious Turkish café, with a wide range of varieties, coffee, teas traditional Turkish pastries, smoothies, and a nice brunch on the weekend or any day of the week, this is definitely the spot! I come here weekly and crave everything they have:)

This was the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. It was crispy, and flavorful. The Nutella crepe was also delicious and paired with the pistachio latte. I have no words left you just have to try it for yourself!!

Excellent service and ambiance! We had the Simit with eggs & Egg & Four Cheese Sandwich and they were both absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back. The Simit was the most exquisite bread I have ever tried. Definitely worth checking out :)
