Pannikin Coffee & Tea

The chicken empanada was delicious, one of the best I've had. Great coffee. They have a lot of desserts and I want to try the carrot cake next time, it looks delicious. Apparently this was an old bunker building from 1886!

Located in downtown Oceanside, this new café is located in the old Bunkerhouse building on Cleveland St. (across from the Salt Apartments)

They have a small patio-seating area in front, a bigger patio area along the side and a huge seating area in the back.
You can also sit inside and enjoy the cute earthy ambiance with your meal.
I appreciate the preservation of the old brick house vibes and that the decor isn't too trendy or "hipster".

I love their clean bathrooms as well and the quaint sitting area just outside.

Their menu consists of many fresh-made pastries including:
cookies, empanadas, pies, cakes, croissants, muffins and more. There's also favorites like: breakfast tacos, breakfast burritos, breakfast bagels, avocado toast, lox bagel sandwiches, hue is rancheros and chicken wraps.
All of this, in addition to their coffee selection that includes: espressos, lattés, teas, matcha, hot cocoa and mochas.

I can't wait to see what they do with all their space and I look forward to live music performances or maybe comedy nights.

While there are a plethora of coffee shops in downtown Oceanside, I like that this one is a little out of the way from the crowds and has less commotion than most. Also, I like the friendly service that awaits you at Pannikin Coffee & Tea.

It’s 2021 and the Bunker House Cafe & Social Lounge has reopened and also partnered up with the O’side Bakery!
So what does this mean? Let me explain.

The Bunker House is located in downtown Oceanside on Cleveland St.
This is such a prime location!

Firstly, there’s street parking all around and also $5 All-Day Garage Parking across the street.

Secondly, it is 3 blocks away from the famous Oceanside Pier and the beach & 3 blocks away from the movie theater and the center of Downtown O’side.
This means you can stroll in either direction and enjoy all the sights & sounds of Oceanside Citylife and yet, it is just off the main strip; so you won’t be smack-dab in the middle of all the noise and riff-raff.

Bunker House has the fortune of setting up inside of one of the few remaining historic “brownstone” buildings in Oceanside and there’s a courtyard that wraps around the side-to-the-back patio.
It’s so rustic and quaint with very ‘natural’ decor that fits the ambiance.
Dining in the courtyard is the best for groups, while dining inside offers a little more privacy from other tables.

Their menu is pretty simple and crafted to suit the dining experience itself.
I highly recommend their charcuterie boards and their flatbreads are phenomenal!
They also have a nice selection of wine and the pastries are made fresh with love and are divine!

Whether is hanging out for the Live Music or just enjoying a meal with a loved one, the Bunker House Social Lounge is a fantastic addition to the downtown O’side Vibe.

It's a refreshing new location in old Oceanside. Get there between 11 and 2 if you want to sit outside in the sun. Great coffee and diverse non PC coffee aficionados. Good vibes.

I am diabetic but i also very much enjoy my coffee. I came here for the second time and the wonderful young lady named Monce recognized me right away and even remembered that I drink sugar free. The coffee is great here let me remind you. The atmosphere is so relaxing and all the staff is super nice and attentive. I come here with my students for a relaxing morning every now and then and Monce even offered my students hot chocolate and it was just so sweet and they were beyond grateful. Not only do they have great food and coffee but they definitely know how to make you feel like your home.

Hosted an event here over the weekend & was blown away by the level of customer service from the owners and the entire team. The owners went out of their way to ensure everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend Bunker House as a venue for your next reception or event. The ambiance is just right, food is amazing & the crew is the best you'll find. This is a jewel of a place in Oceanside, CA. The location is great. The coffee shop itself is a wonderful place. The employees are exceptional, the coffee and pastries are magnificent. Anyone that visits Oceanside, make sure you make plans to visit Pannikin.

Just ordered a Vanilla Rose Latte (not on the menu, offered by the barista) and it was wonderful🌹all of the food we ordered was very good. I wish the menu was more visible inside or I would have ordered one of their delicious looking flatbreads I'm now seeing on Google. Very lovely inside

Good service, nice people , great atmosphere, I missed the one in Leucadia, this is much closer. Like the patio and decor.

Wonderful spot with live music on the back patio. Beyond your average coffee shop.

The newly renovated Bunker House is a fun and eclectic place with multiple areas to cater to visitor's interests. From the lounge with game tables to the bar area to the 2 outer patios. We ordered an interesting sampler of Midnight Desire Mead, Calista Pinot Noir and Crios Malbec and took our wine tasters out to the back patio where a casual group of wine and music enthusiasts, along with their cool dogs, were enjoying the live music of Shay Skylar. Can't wait to come back and try the food!

The pastries are from oside bakery and are sooo good, the coffees and teas are great too. Love this place and I wish I could come more often.

We decided to stop by this cute little eatry. They had good videos, music, and a cool atmosphere. Had the banana nut mini waffles, avocado & pickled onion toast, berry oatmeal, purple rain tea, and toffee latte w/almond milk. The food was very fresh, light feeling, and tasted great! The purple rain was just enough, and not too tart or mellow. The toffee latte was not too sweet, hot, and not every other coffee. All in all this place was a great hidden spot and not too expensive. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this spot! I go on the daily as it is right across the street from my place of business. The building is beautiful and historic. I love to get a cup of coffee or a mid afternoon beer and sit out on the back patio. On top of that, the staff is friendly and make a terrific matcha latte! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone! Make sure to check out their food menu as well!

Had a bagel with cream cheese Sunday April 21,2024 got violently sick 😫. Maybe cream cheese was bad.

Came here for breakfast on a quiet Sunday morning. Standard yet delicious coffee (and non-coffee) options. Breakfast burrito solid "A," perfect for my ravenous post morning surf husband. Breakfast sandwich available on croissant - who cares what the other options are because this is clearly the only correct option. It was no frills, standard scrambled egg, cheese, avocado, but the croissant was actually a really good croissant which flaked in all the right places. The mini waffles I was a bit disappointed in. It was a huge plate though, and we got the berry compote which was great, but the waffles themselves were sub par and could have at least been toasted to make them a little better. For all the pastries to be so amazing and to have mini waffles that tasted like 1star hotel breakfast waffles was disappointing. I also got the lemon blueberry pastry thing because, 🤷🏽‍♀ treat yo self. It was glorious. A perfect delicate balance of crisp, sweet, tart, and heaven. Overall this was fabulous and I will definitely return for breakfast/pastries I'm the future.
