Great coffee and some of the most reasonable prices in town. Their baked goods never miss! I personally love the flourless brownie but their rotating bread and doughnut selections are also very good. It’s of the best places I’ve found to work- but be prepared to wait for a table to open on weekdays as there are always lots of people working or studying. Great place to meet up too.

Amazing breakfast! I got the salmon bagel and it was sooo good. It had smoked salmon, arugula, tomato, and feta cream cheese. We also tried the quiche and avocado toast. Those were both amazing as well! The Golden latte, made with turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, honey, and coconut milk was surprisingly good! It was a nice change from a normal latte. You can also get espresso added to it!

Top notch food. Great atmosphere. Okay coffee. Seating can be very limited due to people being there for hours with their laptops. Usually I have to get takeout because of this. But got to eat in this time because some tables were open.

Great coffee and great employees! Also, something I have always loved about Mean Mug is their prices. They always have amazingly fair prices for their food and drinks. A lot of coffee shops have gone way up in prices, but they have stayed so consistent and I appreciate that so much.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and came here for brunch on the recommendation of our AirBnB hostess. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere and coffee are great, and the cheese grits are off the chain.

Fantastic coffee in an awesome location. Staff was super friendly and they roast their own. I tried the Guatemala beans and purchased the Java beans that were a slightly darker roast. Incredible. Great menu selection and it also looked like a great place to work or study.

One of the best breakfast joints in Chattanooga. Grabbed the breakfast plate and was not disappointed. The biscuit was huge and the fresh made jam was amazing. But the cheese grits stole the show. I’d eat my body weight in that stuff. Highly recommend!

Well worth 5 stars in atmosphere and service. The food was outstanding. We had the Paleo breakfast and a pastrami biscuit both of which were incredible. Def worth a visit.

Usually have two roast on drip. Trained baristas for espresso. Always a smiling staff.

2 locations both with good parking situations.

Roast their own coffee. ( Roaster is located at the North shore location. You can watch Tyler roast if you are there when it's happening.)

Full menu heavy on the breakfast side that is served all day.

Both locations have their own personality. The Southside location has a nice outdoor space and cozy interior with vintage couches and eclectic art and random decor. Northshore location has a large shared deck and a semi private room in the rear of the store with a large picture window. Food at each location is the same menu. They specialize in breakfast type foods and pastries. Massive apple butter cinnamon rolls!!! Rotating scone flavors. Their biscuits are about the size of a men's softball. I could go on and on.

Is rare that I give 5-Stars to anywhere, especially on the 1st visit; but, this place nailed it! The staff was welcoming, warm & friendly, and quick to serve. The food was tasty and satisfying. The communal area was well lit and still relaxing. I will definitely be back, I recommend this place to anyone who likes coffee and fresh breakfast.

Some of my favorite coffee in Chattanooga. Their espresso is always so nice and their breakfast sandwiches & burritos are very yummy!! Plus the people that work here are angels.

One of 3 local Mean Mug coffee shops & possibly the largest (haven't been to the Main St. One in a while). This location has wonderful food and drinks. Really enjoy free in shop refills of black coffee (not sure if this is forever, ask when you visit). Some of my favorite food I've tried is the salmon bagel & the cheese grit bowl. Their biscuits are also delish. It can get busy, especially weekends, but if you hit it during non-peak times ,it's a great place to have a chat, bring some work to complete & enjoy the atmosphere. There are also a few tables outside if you bring your pup or want to soak up the sun.

The service here was great. We had a yummy cinnamon roll, and delicious quiche, sausage egg biscuit, and avocado toast. We ate at a nice little spot on the deck outside.

My favorite go-to coffee shop in Chattanooga! I go to the North Shore and E. Brainerd locations 3-4 times per week. My favorite thing to order is the peanut butter toast.. amazingly fresh and tasty. The menu is great and coffee strong. Also the music playlists they have rolling are fantastic! I Shazam all the music. Great coffee shop!

I went on a rainy Sunday morning. The staff was quick and friendly. There was a moderate amount of people inside, but still some good seating available. I actually picked a la cart. I had eggs and bacon, which were excellent. I had a shot of espresso to get me going and also the french press coffee, which was brought in a small press to the table. Both drinks were fresh and tasty. The atmosphere was quiet and friendly. There was plenty of parking out front. I am definitely going back.
