I love to come here for summer fun, birthday parties, water activities, fishing and walking!

They have a great playground for kids, beach, and picnic tables and public restrooms. They also.provide a campground! Plenty of space to run around and take out your boat!

The sunsets are also pretty gorgeous as well!

I have setup multiple picnics here for clients, and it's always lovely. Great view, and a cool spot to hangout, even if you're not swimming. My clients always love the location & it's nice to put my feet in the sand while I'm working. There is also a few places to sit on the dock and fish or just relax. The beach area is usually really clean, but on the busier days, people can be messy, and that's unfortunate, but it doesn't happen often. The splash island inflatable is pretty cool, and they also have a playground the kids can play on. They usually have the concession stand open during splash island hours and there are drink machines as well. Bathrooms nearby & plenty of places to sit and eat. I highly recommend Chester Frost if any of these things sound appealing.

This place was definitely beautiful. The pictures doesn’t do it justice. I didn’t go swimming but it was great just to sit there and enjoy the peace of the outdoors

Chester Frost park located in Hixon TN. Is an excellent place to spend a day or an entire weekend. Whether you just there for a day of picnicking, or camping for a few days. The place has plenty to offer. Beautiful and serene lake where to practice all your water activities like swimming. Kayaking, jet skiing, paddle boarding, canoeing, or just getting your feet wet. There's a beach area for the little ones, or you could just choose a shady spot, and throw your blanket, set your camping chairs, and access the lake from there. There's also some picnic tables spread out, and a pavilion for large gathering. There are bathrooms available as well, and plenty of parking. There also in front of the beach. A concession store, and boat rental place. And lastly but no least. Chester Frost park is the base for Nooga Splash obstacle water park, where the kids can have plenty of fun for one hour, or more depending on the package you buy. So if you didn't know this. Make plans, and head out to there this weekend. You'd enjoy it

Pair of Eagles seen on a beautiful fall day at Chester Frost Park. In the picture, I tried to get the pair of eagles that flew straight at us from across the lake. One is visible in the photo off in the distance as it flew past us. A very memorable experience. I hope you see them too.

As far as camping goes this place is a hidden gem. It's so affordable for what you are getting. We lived here for a few months while working full time and little did we know just how special this place was. They have free laundry facilities and showers. There are nice walking trails and everyone is respectful when driving around. Most of the spots have tons of grassy area for hanging out.

This is our Happy Place.... Even with the rate increases, it is well maintained, secured by Rangers patrolling so your kids can play. A beautiful place.

We’ve started making this a yearly stay for Memorial Day. Lot 177 this year and we like this one. You have to book for next year while you’re here or all the spaces will be gone. Highly recommend the park but most campgrounds it has its “packed like sardines” areas. Book way in advance. The maps and photos on their site should help spot the congested areas. They keep the bathrooms and bathhouses pretty clean. There are playgrounds for kids and disk golf

Always a good time there. Went camping with friends, had a fun family walk, and went and played on one of there playgrounds. Can't wait till the lake rises back up and we will bring our fishing poles!!

Beautiful place for pictures. Easy accessible boat ramps. Swimming area, overnight campsites available, beach area with sand and playgrounds, picnic tables available at no cost open pavilions great for parties or get togethers and one large closed pavilion which is great for large parties and weddings. All pavilions require reservations and deposits

I was told about this place by a friend (I'm new here). I went to check it out and was thoroughly impressed! What a beautiful place! It was so calming and peaceful with wonderful views. I'm always looking for new places to take sunset pictures. This place has so many different things I could use for my photography. I arrived just before the sun sank behind the mountains. I hopped out of my car and quickly started taking pictures of the beauty mother nature had in store for me to find. I'll definitely be going back. There is a playground right at the water where there is a beach! A little beach! I've always lived by the beach. So, when I saw the little beach, I got so excited. They even have camping, boat ramps, and docks. I did also see bathrooms in different areas making it more convenient for people. I can't wait to go back!

This is absolutely the best park. Everything is clean and orderly. Personal we’re helpful with everything! Restroom and hot showers were clean, great trash pickup…,bonus was the wifi and the laundromat. Just wonderful …, would like to return next year ….
We live in Texas and travel in the west along with Arkansas and Oklahoma. Hands down… the best campground!!

Free parking. Beach has steps to go into the lake. About knee deep near the shore but is more than 6 feet deep at the far end of the rope-off area. Swimming area is pretty big. Has a water inflatable area for a fee ($18 first hour). Could be very busy on weekends.

This park is beautiful! We went when they had the blow up obstacle course in the water and also after. This is a great place to relax, swim and enjoy the scenery. The park is perfect for the kids and they have plenty of covered picnic tables. We happened to be there during the international boat race practices and it was awesome. We will definitely be back to Chester Frost.

Chester Frost is our go-to campground if we don't want to go far from home! Being on the water makes it serine and the kids love the playground. Opposite the campground is the beach area with another great playground and plenty of opportunities to boat, swim, and fish. The RV sites DO NOT have sewer, just water hook up and 30/50 amp power; however, there is a main dump station as you leave the park (past beach, on right) and 2 other spots for your portable dump tanks within the campground (see map). We don't use the bathhouses, but I see many people that do. There is frisbee golf around the park that I see many people enjoy as well. Good walking, biking paths but no designated bike lanes. Overall, great campground and great park! We go in all seasons!

This place is wonderful, there's a somewhat beach, by saying that it more like a manmade place to enjoy with your friends and family. There is camping grounds etc, lots of stuff to do, people go fishing etc. Lots of parking spaces, the park close after sunset, which is great, safe for everyone to enjoy. Beautiful scenery, trees etc. A great place for families and activities, gathering and quiet time too, simply choose the right spot. There are always police going around keeping the park safe. Very families safe. A great place to hung out. You will love it.

This is one of the best (if not the best) all season boat ramps on Chickamauga. It's safe and has pleanty of dock space to tie up when needed. Lots of parking and multiple lanes for parking.
