Pier 88 Boiling Seafood & Bar Chattanooga

We were pleasantly surprised to find this treasure on a day when most restaurants were closed for Christmas. This ended up being a highlighted experience for us. Amazing food, huge portions, prompt service and all the things that make for a happy time.

First time to Pier 88, and I've got to say it was an awesome experience. We stopped by for lunch today around 11:30 on a friday, and everything from the drinks and food to the service and atmosphere were all wonderful. We got a Crawfish appetizer, a Punch cocktail (perfectly made), and the make your own fried combo with oysters, catfish, and shrimp. Between the two of us, we spent $60 plus $20 tip. If you've ever had good crawfish from New Orleans, then you're going to love theirs. The Catfish was fluffy, not muddy tasting. And the shrimp were huge! So so good. We'll definitely be back.

We went on Valentine's Day and they had really cute drinks and awesome specials !! Me and my man's finally did a crab boil at a sit down and couldn't have been happier doing it here. Meleah was a great server and the host was very friendly. It wasn't super packed which was also nice. As for the food OH MY GOSH!! The eggs and potatoes were absolutely perfectly cooked in with the crawfish, legs and shrimp we got. Y'all know what y'all doing that's all lol !! Pier 88 is the sit down spot for a boil

The food was awesome and the portions are high. I had enough food to eat for a whole day. Highly recommend

존맛탱 엑스트라스파이씨 짭짤하고 매콤 (마니안매움) super delicious! We were quite tired of eating burgers and fries.. this was heaven meal for us! Fresh oysters and the sauce is delicious.

This was my first visit to this restaurant and it won't be my last. Best food & service! Morgan was the best waitress! The boil was the most amazing, so so good! I definitely recommend it!

Food was GREAT. Had the Low Country Boil with medium spice and it was 💯!! That taste and flavor that I wanted! BUT what made the meal perfect was our waitress! Very friendly and talkative, really enjoyed our meal. The drinks were some of the best we have had on our vacation!

The wait line was quick and the food was excellent. Our waiter, Ken, was very patient and overall a great person. He also had a good mood and brought us everything we needed. The food was also great, especially the oysters. I would definitely come back one day!

12/15/23 we had the ultimate boil and our food was great! Even better, our server, Demario, was absolutely amazing! So cheerful the entire time! Attentive, fast, and took the experience to the next level. Really enjoyed our evening.

Really enjoyed this place. My food came out piping hot and delicious! Drinks were okay as far as taste but they definitely will get you nice and toasty.

I was a little scared when we 1st walked in due to the layout. However when me and my girlfriend sat down, our server Joy treated us nicely. Food came out hot and super super fast. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary here and they treated us to a dessert.

This was AMAZING. I can not believe this restaurant was in Chattanooga, TN. It felt like I was in Florida. No joke. We had onion rings and fried crawfish tails as our appetizers. Those were the BEST onion rings I've ever had in my life--perfectly crispy, yet melt-in-your mouth. We dipped them in Ranch dressing. Delicious. The fried crawfish tails were perfectly crispy, as well. It came with some creamy Cajun sauce. Delicious. My daughter had the fried catfish poboy. She loved it and ate every single bite. She said the bread was just right--not too much and it was chewy in a good way. Her regular fries were some of the best fries I've ever had, hands down. My son had the oyster poboy with Cajun fries and he loved it. I had the fried oyster basket from the lunch menu and it was only $7! The oysters were cooked perfectly...as good as any fried oysters I've ever had in Florida. I got the sweet potato fries with mine. They ended up being shaped like waffle fries. Usually, I don't like sweet potato fries that are waffle cut, but these were really good. They didn't have a lot of sweet potato flavor, which was fine. What they did have was a lot of crisp. Delicious. Even after they cooled down and we're just room temperature, they were still good. My husband got the shrimp and crab leg boil with potatoes and corn on the cob and sausage. He got the signature Pier 88 flavored seasoning. DELICIOUS flavor. He gave me the crab from his King crab legs. UNBELIEVABLE. BEST CRAB LEGS I'VE EVER HAD. SERIOUSLY. Then I had the key lime pie. It was not my favorite. It had a great flavor, but there was very little crust. I like a lot of graham cracker crust. My kids got the chocolate molten cake. It was delicious. If they had served it with a scoop of ice cream, then it would have been almost as good as the chocolate molten cake at Chili's. My husband got the raspberry cheesecake, but it wasn't really cheesecake. It was mostly cake with a little thin layer of cheesecake. He didn't like it. The service was excellent. The atmosphere and decor were very pleasant and comfortable. All in all, that was some of the best seafood we've ever had outside of Florida. It's my new favorite restaurant. However, I won't order dessert there again because they just weren't my favorite. Bottom line....this is a GEM in a strip mall next to Best Buy on Gunbarrel Rd in Chattanooga, TN. We LOVED it. By the way, they give a military discount! 😊

The service was quick and very friendly. Several of the staff walked by and all asked if we needed anything. We ordered the hush puppies as an appetizer and they were fantastic. Great flavor, crisp on the outside, tender and hot on the inside. The catfish was really good. The french fries were also crispy and hot and tender inside. They have regular french fries, cajun seasoned or sweet potato fries. There us a full service bar for drinks and beer. Lots of options for seafood boils

Olivia was our server on a Sat night at the bar in chattanooga, tn.. She was friendly and got our food to us quickly. Her service was amazing and the food was great!!! We definitely recommend to our family and friends. What a great surprise for our first visit!!

Coming back from a beach trip or just wish you could get the seafood like you do on the coast?? Search no further some of the best coastal crab and seafood options I have found. Great service and friendly staff! This is a casual unassuming location with plastic ware and plates to align with the mess you will create with the crab legs :) in addition the alcohol prices on happy hour are unprecedented *reference picture attached to this review * we will be back for sure!

Time for something different? Why not try out Pier 88. Their Low Country Boil is messy, but really good! Don't worry, they give you a bucket, gloves, apron, tools and plenty of paper towels. Lol.. It comes with snow crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob, all seasoned to taste. At less than $30 you should be stuffed and still have some to take home. They also have oysters, king crab and so on, with several other meal options available. They have a wide array of drink & beer choices with the best deals during happy hour. Seating inside is ample and comfortable. Service was very good as well. I don't recall any outside seating.

I might have found my new favorite place for Seafood boils!!! I've always loved Boiling Crab and only Boiling Crab but this place might be on top because of the price and what they have to offer. They offer 1/2 lb on all their seafood selections, unlike Boiling Crab. They also put a couple potatoes and corn in your bag too!!! At Boiling Crab you have to pay for all those add on.

This place was so bomb!! I did basically their WholeShaBang medium flavor in my bag and it pretty much tasted like Boiling Crab. It was so good the next day I got some Uber Eats delivery to my house!!!! Like you know its good if you did that. Also the mozzarella sticks are to die for... IDK its just so cheesy and crispy... UGHHHH I'm craving this place just thinking of it... Def should try it out!!! It's BOMB.COM

The seafood boil was hot and fresh. The only thing is that they can add more seasoning. It was scarce, so we asked for more. All in all, it was good 👍🏾. Now, the bathroom doors and floors were extremely sticky. It needs a deep cleaning or remodeling.

Great seafood . Server, Justin, was very attentive. Food was hot and fresh. Not much wait. Glad the billboard caught our attention. Awesome surprise good meal to end fall break trip.
