Indigo Cafe + Bar

We had a great experience this morning for breakfast. Everyone was very attentive and friendly.
We ordered the apple strudel, then one of us had the Eggs Benedict and the other had the French toast with bananas. Everything was delicious. The holiness sauce was some of the best i have ever had.
The decor is different but in a good way. This restaurant is in the middle of an Art saturated community that can appreciate fine art. It’s old world mixed with new age.
The prices for breakfast were extremely reasonable. $11-$14 per plate for the quality. I had cracker barrel earlier in the week and paid almost the same price for a sit down breakfast. Kids in the community do and will pay for homemade meals, they pay $10 dollars for coffee at Starbucks. I look forward to coming back for lunch, and a nice date nite dinner. The atmosphere is perfect for a couples night out.

So sad they do not serve the Duck anymore, but there are other dishes that are delicious. My husband took me for breakfast/ brunch and it was absolutely amazing 🤤❤❤ BOTTOMLESS MIMOSA SUNDAYS! 🥂🥂🥂🍽. I found my favorite place.The ambience is everything.

Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. It is located in an old building downtown. The service was very good, and the food was delicious. I had the chicken and waffles. My husband had the burger and my daughter has the lobster Mac n’ cheese. They said their food was delicious too!! I would recommend this place hands down!

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this place. I’ve eaten at some GREAT places in the Birmingham area, and while these aren’t ostentatious dishes, they’re amazing for what they are. The burger was a 10/10, chicken and waffles 10/10 and drinks were a 10/10. I also had the lobster Mac and cheese special, it was absolutely food magazine worthy. Indigo is not outrageously expensive either. It’s perfectly middle of the road for the quality food you get. The atmosphere was also cute and quaint. I guess some people just find joy in complaining. Idk.

Food was phenomenal! I got the BLT and others got the smash burger. The fries came with this dipping sauce that was to die for. 10/10 will be visiting again.

Went in for breakfast on a Wednesday morning and the food was phenomenal. We were the only people there which is understandable for a Wed with a forecast of flurries. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The only thing I could suggest was music, which the waitress said she did not have the password to turn on. Otherwise, it was a gorgeous space and the food was excellent.

Great food and service. Atmosphere is amazing with a classic feel of old and new.

I had a lovely experience at Indigo cafe. I was served by Lena, who was exceptionally attentive, sweet and accommodating. I got the butternut squash soup and Caesar salad (upon suggestion from Lena) which was phenomenal. My boyfriend got the salmon which was also delicious. Will definitely be back and requesting Lena to serve us again.

Atmosphere was elegant with staff in professional apparel. The food was spot on! The hubby and I frequently venture out of Montevallo for date night, but have found this restaurant to be a wonderful new option!

Food was AMAZING! Desert was great as well. It is a cute place that would be great for date night or even prom night! Y'all go check it out! Support local small businesses!!!

Best restaurant in the city of Montevallo hands down. The food is amazing as well as the staff. Will be back again soon.
