Harbor House Cafe

My wife loves this place. Diner style food, family owned and been there forever. They have a great specials of the day list on the chalk board when you enter. This Sunday morning, they were packed with customers Check out their menu, but it is the specials that rock. I had the surf and turf eggs Benedict. Had short rib meat and lobster pieces replacing the usual ham. Was excellent. Coffee is good and they do a good job keeping it topped up. Lots of children there too. From families to dining alone, they got you covered.

As a side note, this place is next to the Marine base Camp Pendleton. There were lots of marines and their families eating there. Next to us were 3 very young marines. Watching them quietly eat together really touched us. So we anonymously paid their check before we left. We wanted them to know they had our respect.

I found this place on the map looking for breakfast between where we were and wanted to be. It was the perfect way to start our day. Chill, family friendly and we beat the breakfast rush. Our server was awesome, especially considering that after us she was given a second, larger group.

This place is only open until 2 but the food is SO good! I had a lobster and Crab Pacific omelette and the hash browns were crispy. i also appreciated having mixed fruit option of the little jelly packets. (It’s the small
Stuff, ya know?) Very friendly and attentive staff. Hometown atmosphere. My new neighborhood “haunt.”

Great location, Great service, Great food, moderately priced. Clean, has a Catholic gift shop with some amazing Jesus items along with other beautiful trinkets. The lady in the store was attentive and helpful. The store was a bit spendy but depending on what you are looking for it may be worth going too this store.

What a great place to dine. Atmosphere was fantastic, service was superb as well as the food. If ever out in Oceanside California, I 100% recommend eating here. Huge thanks to all the waiters and waitresses for never letting my cup empty or get cold. Y'all are what customer service should be modeled after.

Staff was amazing! So kind and answered all of our questions. Definitely a great spot to go have some yummy breakfast!

Absolutely delicious! Excellent food and service, I loved my eggs benny on gluten free bread. Nothing but good vibes from this family owned cafe. Great prices for the portion size. Paula was very welcoming. Will be back soon!

Came to eat breakfast here from out of state and everything was excellent! We had the Acai bowl, 2 eggs and bacon with potatoes, and my daughter got the kids meal with a blueberry pancake. Everything was fresh, well prepared and tasted great. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Paula & Monica were super nice, accommodating and welcoming (despite us coming in less than a half hour before closing and having multiple dietary restrictions!) Fabulous open air seating area. Great fresh food. Homemade from scratch crumb coffee cake. Coffee hot chocolate, oh my!! Yum yum! Very kind people. Thank you!

Down here for the weekend. Definitely very hungry. So I found this place and wow! Amazing 👏 food! I had rhe I believe is the ranchero omelet . It was fantastic! I was kinda of ify about ordering it. But glad I did! Had a bit of bite and was just great. If you like spicy then this is the right playe. If not. Then order some of ther other great looking meals I saw them bringing out. 😋
I highly suggest this if your out here and even if you have to drive here,it's worth it!

Really, love this place. The food was wonderful. Great food and nice atmosphere. They just got a 4 on service because they were busy and forgot us a couple of time, but they were friendly which means alot!

Very nice. I like fruit on my waffles and I wanted to go to a place that would put a good amount on them. Pretty impressive! I would be even happier with more fruit but I still was able to have fruit with every bite which is extremely important to maximize waffle enjoyment. They also have nice large windows so there is a lot of natural light. Eating waffles in natural lighting are one of life's great joys. (also lots of hot sauce varieties, you could put that on your waffle if you really wanted to)

Really cute little cafe with a gorgeous outdoor seating area. We got brunch here before walking along the beach. The pigs in a blanket were fantastic, as well as all the other breakfast essentials. Very friendly staff and quick service. Loved hanging here!

I saw a lot of negative reviews from a lot customers that visited Harbor House the past few weeks. I decided to give them a chance and to see if they have corrected their recent failures. 5⭐ The service was excellent as well as the food. All the staff was very courteous and attentive to all our needs. We had corned beef hash and eggs, beef chorizo and Belgian waffles with fruit. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh looking. We chose to dine outside, it did look a bit crowded inside. We will definitely come back tomorrow.
We came back the next day, the same excellent service and food.

I met my good friends from Oceanside High School at the Harbor House Cafe for breakfast early in the morning. It was my first time eating at this really comfortable and cute restaurant.
I ordered the CA House Omelet with sliced Avocados and Home Fried Potato’s, one Coffee Cake with the streusel topping and decaffeinated Coffee. It took about 20 minutes for the waitress to bring my food to my table because it was very busy that day.
The waitress was very friendly and attentive she stopped by our table 3 times to ask if I needed a refill on my decaf coffee. I said yes I do. She refilled my coffee cup . I ate the CA House Omelette it was very delicious and the sliced avocados were ripe and soft. The Coffee Cake was moist and the Streusel topping was delicious. The decaf. Coffee warmed me up on a cold morning. I received excellent customer service and really delicious food. I highly recommend this Harbor House Cafe Restaurant.

We came here with our team of 18 boys. They handled everything efficiently, food came fast and service with lots of smiles. We felt incredibly welcome and the food was just perfect after a day of travel. Thank you.

I like this little cafe. The had a Huevos Rancheros plate of which I gotta try whenever a restaurant has it. It was some what nontraditional but was tasty and the salsa was amazing. The waitress was attentive and nice. I will be going here again in the near future.

OMGoodness....this place was awesome...my husband got the Pacific Omelet and I had the Avocado toast!! The food was amazing, price was excellent and service was spectacular! Would definitely recommend this place for a great breakfast/lunch....very clean and well maintained.
