Play It Again Sports

AMAZING!!!!!! I love going to play it again! They’re truly amazing and so kind and caring!!! They really take care of you here!!! If I need anything I always there and check and see if they have before going anywhere else!! 12/10 would definitely RECOMMEND!!!! Janet is the sweetest ever!!! Love it here!!!

This review is actually in response to the review before mine from "Michaela Getz". I remember her interaction very well as I was in the store shopping for some preseason baseball and lacrosse equipment for my kids and as soon as Mrs Getz stated she was going to leave a bad review I had to follow the google page for this very situation.

But any ways heres what happend....Mrs Getz came in said very loudly, not sure why her and the young lady at the register were only 3ft from each other but anyways, that she wanted to return the used ski boots that she had purchased a few days prior. The young lady politely stated "okay that will be for store credit" (she stated the amount but im older and my brain cells are slowly deteriorating). Mrs Getz started to get angry and this time she got very loud as if she was yelling at the young lady behind the counter and started complaining about how the person she purchased the boots from stated that she would get credit if she had to return them. I dont know about you but if someone says credit, that 150% of the time means STORE CREDIT. Mrs Getz continued to get loud with the worker yelling at her about the policy and how it should be stated some where. Now I have been shopping at this location for my kids for YEARS and as long as I can remember their return policy is on their receipts, which Mrs Getz had in her hand to initiate the return. All in all, Mrs Getz appeared to have made a thoughtless purchase and didn't get the correct item and she was BIG MAD at the young lady behind the counter, who by the way handled the situation extremely professionally. KUDOS FOR THAT!!!! Mrs Getz needs to getz herself right back into the store and apologize for how she treated the young lady. Karen culture is played out and she should have never acted that way.

Well now here is my personal review;
Play it again sports has been around for what feels like 100years in Southington. Yes they have had many different employees throughout the years, but each and every time I am there, the staff they have at the time is extremely accommodating and if I have my kids with me, my kids love them. Janet, who I think is the owner, always asks how their days are if she sees them. You dont really get that any where any more. Janet does an amazing job with her staff, and her staff does an amazing job with the revolving door of customers. Working customer service can't be easy. So to each of the employees at the store, props to all of you for all your hard work and dedication. Don't let one or two karens getz you in a bad mood. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++.

Great selection! Friendly staff. We were able to find my son his first pair of hockey skates super easily. I’m sure we’ll be back!

Janet and her team provide great prices on both used and new equipment. They provide excellent service because they have what you need and are very knowledgeable about all types of sporting equipment! Save money and time shopping here.

Went to Play It Again Sports yesterday at what I thought would be a reasonable amount of time before closing to get my two children cleats for soccer. Wrong! With my younger son’s very wide feet, it was a very long, arduous process of trying on about 20 pairs of cleats. The sales lady was so overly nice and helpful trying to give recommendations and help the entire time. And never once did she try to rush us out of the store even though we held her captive 15 minutes after closing (so sorry about that) while my child had a complete meltdown in the middle if the store until we found some cleats that worked for him. What awesome service and a great store! I will certainly be back and will tell everyone I know about our awesome experience!

I have been shopping here for the past 3 years and they have always been very helpful. Made my recent purchase yesterday and wasn't expecting to receive them back till later this week. Janet the owner called and said that she would be happy to drop off both mine and my daughters ski's on her way home. I told her she didn't have to but she insisted. Level of service is amazing. Thank you very much.

Great customer assistance, easy shopping for an entire snowboard package for my 11yr old daughter. The owner was very helpful and provided much needed info on sizing,fitting,etc. Professional staff, flexible exchanges, like new condition equipment, and all at a fraction of the outrageous retail pricing. I found numerous boards that would have been amazing for my daughter all in great condition but the owner helped me find the perfect board! You couldn't even tell it had been used, along with bindings, a new helmet, boots,goggles,and other necessary riding accessories. Much more then I ever would have expected from a 2nd hand shop like this! Play it again is great and I will be referring friends and family as well as buying my next board for myself/wife/kids in the future. Thanks for helping me give my daughter an amazing Christmas without breaking the bank, play it again!

We visited yesterday to purchase some Lacrosse equipment. Very happy and impressed with the knowledge of the workers. They helped fit my son for a new stick, taped it, and even showed him some moves. We will be returning for an upgrade.

Janet and her staff are awesome! Why shop any where else for all your sporting goods equipment! Janet offers the same equipment but less than the other stores. Play it again sports offer both NEW & used quality sporting equipment. I highly recommend shopping at the store. I brought in lightly used equipment. I was very pleased with the staff professionalism! Why pay more when you can get the same quality at a local small family business...

We love shopping at this store. Always has a great selection and the staff goes out of their way to help in anyway. Our go to place for all things sports related. Keep up the great work !

I'm impressed with the women there. They grabbed my items, asked me if I needed anything else.

Awesome. Bog selection of new and used equipment at low prices. I saved a couple hundred bucks buying my kid used Lacrosse gloves and cleats. Knowledgeable staff also.

I shopped Play It Again in several locations over my life. I've always been a fan of the recycling aspect of these stores. I purchased a few pairs of inline and ice skates for myself and my children, most of which in the Southington, CT store. If your priorities lie in functionality and price over appearance and age, you will certainly find a great buy here. Kids grow out of things so quickly that it's hardly worth paying new if you can find used. Approach it with an open mind and you will be pleased.

My husband and I have been to this store a bunch of times buying equipment for our children. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. They have a lot of options to choose from! I highly recommend!

They always have what you need, they also have a great selections of discs for disc golf

Went to play it again sports looking for a new snowboard and bindings and the staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Will definitely be shopping there again!

This store and staff are awesome. There is no need to drive to any of the big box stores when Play it Again Sports sells high quality used sports equipment and new as well.

Everyone here is so friendly. I found all my football gear quickly. Fitting rooms handy and clean. I would and do advise many friends to shop here.
