Lighthouse Cafe

We came in after the lunch rush and there was plenty of tables available. The place was clean and I was greeted immediately. I opted for the vegan chili and it did not dissapoint. It was amazing. My husband had the french ham and cheese sandwich and said it was great, the cheese made it. We will be back!

We arrived at the cafe shortly after 11am (lunch menu) and were able to sit immediately. Tables were being wiped down very promptly, and we were greeted cheerfully. Our order was also served in a timely manner. Both of our sandwiches tasted delicious! Both of our coffees (one hot, the other cold) tasted delicious as well! We greatly enjoyed looking around at the eclectic decorations during our meal. The bathroom was clean. A perfect first-time experience!

Day two of our driving holiday – we decided not to have breakfast at our hotel (The Historic Bishop Hotel) because we wanted something more substantial than croissants. We crossed Water street towards the sea, and went in to have a look at their food display. There were many items that look scrumptious. I ended up with the breakfast sandwich with organic egg, melted brie cheese, roasted tomatoes and greens, on a toasted ciabatta bun. My partner ordered blueberry brioche bread pudding with butter sauce. The food looked presentable, one bite of my sandwich tells me that this is not some fast food joint – the person in the kitchen really knows what he is doing. The roasted tomatoes were very tasty. The ciabatta was brushed with oil before toasting. And of course the bread pudding was awesome. It looked sufficiently dry in the cooler, but perfect for soaking up the butter sauce. We came back for breakfast again the next morning. I really regret that we didn't come back for lunch as well, (as we got distracted by some quiche next door which turned out to be awful.) If we do come back to stay in Port Townsend, one of the reasons would be to eat at the Lighthouse Cafe.

Great vegan green chili! EXCELLENT espresso lattes! A must visit!

Definitely one of the better restaurants in town. They have an incredible, fresh salad that my friend and I are addicted to. The Owner is kind and the place is perfect for viewing the ocean. You can also grab and go and have a picnic. Nothing bad to say. :)

Wonderful lunch spot with a view of the water. Lots of character in the decor and a yummy menu full of fresh ingredients and great flavors. Enjoyed lunch with my dad and we split the cured salmon sandwich and slice of warm citrus bread with lemon curd topping. Located on Water Street in Tyler Street Plaza.

What a nice surprise, the Lighthouse Cafe morphed into a cool Italian style cafe and deli from a breakfast place. It was almost worth the wait, no thanks to Covid. The space, with windows onto the public square, is very comfortable. Great spot for an Italian espresso, pastries or sandwiches. By the way: The Italian toasted sandwich was excellent!

Lite bite before early dinner. What a warm, friendly charm with delicious food. I had the spicy chicken sandwich. Small hint of heat, but packed full on the flavor. Don’t get me started on the simple, but tasty side salad.
Stop in and enjoy the water while you enjoy a cup of joe or a bite.

Was excited to try this place under the new management/ownership after it reopened a couple years ago, since it's in such a nice spot. I've enjoyed it so far - love the three bean soup on a cold day. Patio is nice too in the summer.

This is a wonderful throwback. Cozy & clean. Best mushroom & barley soup I’ve ever had. Sandwich was awesome. Carrot cake so moist. We will be back!

LIGHTHOUSE cafe Port Townsend….just go! I must admit the location, huge sunny windows and decor really attracted us…loved the seating, and now the FOOD…just fantastic…tender, perfectly seasoned meatloaf sando on Perfect toasted ciabatta with crushed tomato avocado…delectable. Clam chowder and a bean soup just heavenly. And the family friendly and generous. Upscale cuisine, casual, great prices, fresh. THANK YOU!

Wow, was this a find! Stopped here for lunch after reading other positive reviews and seeing the Lighthouse Cafe's high rating. It's all warranted. My chicken Caesar was so delicious, with a creamy, flavorful dressing and a perfect accompaniment of cheese and bread crumbs throughout. Others in my party had the meatloaf sandwich and the turkey sandwich, which were pressed and toasted. They raved about the bread used in those and the overall taste. Their pastures looked amazing too, but I opted for a chocolate chip cookie also made in house. I had it later, and that was incredible too. I'd love to eat here again.

Fantastic mushroom sandwich and jasmine tea latte. Excellent loose leaf tea options. Great to have fresh vegan homemade options.

Lots of great things to eat here! We needed a small bite to share and chose a turkey sandwich. It was so tasty and just right for sharing a quick, small meal. When we visit Pt Townsend again, we will check and see if the Lighthouse is open so we can enjoy some tasty food again!

Great coffee/espresso drinks at reasonable prices. Breakfast & lunch sandwiches are delicious. Friendly staff.

My wife loves clam chowder and is very picky...she took one bite and said this is the best I've ever had! The 3 bean soup I had was a perfect 10...the salad was delicious and fresh. With the cafe's location on the water every bit a 5-Star experience!

Really nice people, a well executed little menu, and a great setting. All of the food worked well together…happy to have this in Pt Townsend. Yum

Good home made lunch and deserts. Very good food and NW rustic atmosphere.
