Main Street Cafe & Bakery

I am so glad we stopped by Main Street cafe and bakery for breakfast. I initially was afraid I would get lost inside the building, as it is on the third floor, but there were marked signs to guide us. There is also a front desk person that could help.

Lots of options for food and drink, eating in or taking out. The breakfast sandwiches were really good and made to order. Fresh ingredients for all of their meals! Everything was really good, I would definitely recommend. There is so many good looking menu items, I will be back to try more.

My first breakfast in Des Moines happened to be the #1 on the menu. Love the texture of the raisin cinnamon bread, how layered flavors of meat, cheese, egg, & sauce blend together & friendly the staff were. Neat building, great atmosphere for working on your laptop, a cup of coffee or brunch.

This location brings all of the chill ambiance/great food of the original location in Ankeny to downtown. It opened a couple of months ago and I will be back as soon as I can. Go if you haven't already!

I forgot to ask for dairy free (completely my fault) was going to leave and give my drink to a coworker. The manager chased me down and remade my drink even though I explained it was nothing they did wrong. He said I paid and he wanted to make sure I got my drink. Pulled up ingredients and everything to make sure I was able to drink the powder in the drink. Amazing customer service!

You need to enter the office building and proceed up stairs to second floor. We had great breakfast sandwiches on GF buns. Staff was very accommodating. Everything is super clean with wide open space. Highly recommend if you are looking for GF.

We really liked the food here and the atmosphere. They have really good baked deserts and a great dining menu. It's more of a upscale hometown restaurant than your everyday chain restaurant. Go at off times for quicker service, the place is frequently packed.

Millions of coffee, tea and hot chocolate flavors. Non dairy options too! Great people. Great locations! Great food! I tried a lavender almond milk latte today! Fabulous! Had Mac and cheese last week.... Oooooey gooooey deliciousness! Sugar cookies are the best in the entire world. They are a once in a while treat for me and when I get one, I feel like a little princess without a care in the world! Go there. You will like it.

Visiting Des Moines and found this delightful place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Excellent veggie scramble for my wife and great oatmeal for me. Glad we found it! I'll be back!

Never had a bad meal here. I especially like the numerous available salads.
