Anytime in San Francisco I pop by Daiso to stock up on japanese bowls, so good in price and if you pick carefully those made in Japan they are a true bargain for less than 2$ also a great place to buy Japanese paper and Japanese design cello tape

Daiso was a heavenly experience. I was unsure whether or not to go but my good friend convinced me to go in. Inside I found aisles and aisles of treasures and trinkets. The inside of Daiso was bustling with activity and people. We ended up buying a few snacks but everything was worth buying if I could. 10/10 would visit again.

Very clean, up to standards with other Daiso chains. Lots of products that are thoughtful and creative for around the home use and at affordable prices. The price guide is clearly marked around the store to help you determine the price of any items. Gets plenty of foot traffic being part of the center of Japantown.

Selection is awesome. Of course, not everything is the cheapest here, but definitely convenient place to shop small.
Shopping bag is available for a fee. Make sure to bring your own.
Also, they do not accept Apple Pay or other smart pay ,nor Amex. Make sure to bring your credit/debit card.

During our family trip to San Francisco my first time I visited a Daiso Japan Store.
You can find all kinds of great stuff like kitchen essentials, house decorations, apparel, laundry goods, cosmetic, cleaning items, kitchen ware, office supplies, Japanese items, slippers, and kid toys. The list just goes on.

They have so many unique products and it's cheap! This store is for the kids 😆 any kid would love shopping here. It's like a dollar tree dreamland. A must visit when you're in San Francisco. The only thing I hated was trying to find a parking spot. 🙄

Wonderful daiso, and quite large in comparison to other locations I have visited in northern California. Very clean, spacious and easy to keep 6ft away while perusing the long aisles. Store was very neat and tidy, cleaning witnessed in multiple areas during my visit. A lot of items that were a surprise to me on the shelf as I would have needed to travel to 2 or even 3 different daiso locations to find all the items. Stationery and crafts were large full aisles and a lot of options presented (what I normally check out). Staff was quick to help me find items and checkout was very efficient. Definitely visit any time I am in the downtown area.

Best place to shop for those of us who live in small spaces. Smart, cute, functional items to get your apartment/room organized, clean, comfortable, etc. Plus personal items, gifts, treats, beauty, hygiene, totes. Almost everything you could imagine. All made to fit in small spaces.

One of the only “big dollar stores” in San Francisco — a rarity. Always go here when I am shopping for a project on a budget.

I love coming here for craft supplies, stationary, garden supplies, and cheap household supplies and decor (picture frames, vases, eatingware, glassware). They also have a good-sized section of faux flowers and greenery, which can be useful for crafts. Their snacks section is near-famous amongst high schoolers and college kids.

Staff are friendly and skilled, able to handle large volumes of people in the store at a time. One thing I appreciate is that they always tell you at register when an item is more than $1.50, in case you didn’t notice when you grabbed it.

Come at “less busy” times during the morning (ca. 10–11 AM) to have an easier shopping experience. Afterschool hours (ca. after 3 PM) can be busy.

I have been a fan of Daiso ever since I stumbled across their Market and Montgomery store (long gone now.) Most item are around $2, and few are over $10. I go in knowing that I'm only looking for one or two things, like chopsticks or a small pouch for my wireless earbuds. Sadly (or happily) I almost always end up leaving with a basket full of goodies. They have lots of low priced kitchen items, as well as household and desk necessities. I even buy sock there. There are lodes of little amusing items like toy lion key chains or cat pillows that makes good birthday presents or Christmas stocking stuffers. The stock changes over constantly, so you may not find the item a few weeks later. Most, but not all items are manufactured in Japan, rather than China, so are a bit higher quality for the price. Although I won't say that the service is always great, it usually is at least professional and efficient. After you shop here, you can then enjoy some time exploring the rest of the Japan Center.

Amazing as you would expect. The three items on the right is what I got from daiso. It's crowed and there are loads of people there which means it's good.

The line looks pretty long but it goes quick. The cashiers there were ringing people out pretty quick.

Basically an amazing Japanese dollar (1.50) store. Found lots of fun little things to use in my office and to take home to my kids. Planning to make a YouTube video on our quick walk-through. Plan to pay for parking - $3 per hour.

We loved this place. If we had one located in San Antonio. We would go all the time lol. Great prices and so much to look at. We walked in here only to browse and ended up with 2 large bags full of stuff. We loved this place.

Daiso is a great store in the Peace Plaza shopping center, in the Japantown neighborhood of San Francisco. It is a chain store but I have only been to this location.

You can find all sorts of great items here. Japanese candy and snacks, cosmetics and face masks, personal care items, dinnerware, chopsticks, mugs, other kitchenware, home decor items, paper hand fans, flags and kites, assorted knick-knacks... the list goes on. They have so many things, at great prices. I attached a few photos of some items I have purchased here. Make sure you also see the Peace Pagoda monument nearby, as it is beautiful. (Attached photo of that too.)

Well stocked, well organized, quick checkout even when the line is long as was my experience Sunday evening. So many cute things in this "dollar" store (almost everything is $1.50 unless marked otherwise)

This place rocks! It's worth going to this one as opposed to the smaller one on 16th St Plaza. Great place to buy coin batteries - great selection. Just be aware that you can't return anything. Most things are $1.50 - and if you see a price in yen that's greater than 100 yen, then it will cost more than $1.50 - they have charts all over the store for the dollar price for the yen price.

There are many useful affordable items for any situation. Home goods and repairs, snacks and cute japanese souvenirs, this place has everythingyou may need. I came to japantown to stay overnight but I forgot my charger back home without realizing it, the staff was very helpful and I was able to get what I needed for the rest of my stay and a little extra.
