Avenues Thrift Shoppe

I saw this place randomly as I drove by, and decided to stop. Extremely glad I did. I found a really nice jacket, and a bunch of little stuff to give as additional Christmas gifts. The folks at the desk were helpful and engaging, and even random customers started conversation and gave advise. Saved in my favorites, I will be back in the new year!

What a wonderful thrift store. Great staff who are very helpful. Love the store decor. The clients who benefit from the sales always greet you with a big smile.

I'm giving away some of Carrie's things I've gone to Good Will and St Vincent De Paul but I totally forgot about Avenues to Independence. The Avenue is such a wonderful place they hire people with disabilities it was one of Carrie's favorite stops when we went bargain hunting.

My son works for Avenues, directly with the clients. It is truly a wonderful organization, that sadly not many outside the area know much about.I know how much they appreciate the donations as well as the support.

I mainly go here to look at records, CDs, and books. I have bought a few home decor items, like baskets and knick-knacks. I also found a great vintage radio here! (Photo included.) The staff members are friendly and the store is easy to navigate and find what you're looking for.

I love that this organization helps people with physical and mental disabilities, and finds them training, jobs, or skills exploration. They are just as an important demographic and as a Human Resources Specialist I know they are often overlooked. Some of their clients even have handmade crafts for sale, like cards, magnets, flower arrangements, etc. It's a great thrift shop with a great mission.

I believe there is a credit card minimum to spend, like $10 or $20, so just know that if you plan to pay by card.

You can definitely tell the new management is amazing! In the past things weren’t as organized and the workers weren’t as friendly but when I went recently the manager was super helpful and kind. I felt very welcomed and I found so many cute things! Definitely one of my favorite little shops in the area!

Small shop with a very friendly staff. Weather was bad so we showed up a little late however the staff was very inviting and helpful. They told us the story and purpose of the show and I'd go back again and support such a great cause.

Items are much higher quality than you would find at Salvation Army or other thrift chains, while still having very low prices. Lots of interesting finds
