Best of the Hobby Towns around for sure. Good stock of plastic military models and needed accessories. And it seems like someone, at least one person, is knowledgeable about any given item category in the store. I've had detailed conversations about plastic models, while yesterday I heard detailed conversations about trains and rc cars. It's great!

Helpful and Experienced Staff. Answered all of my RC Truck questions and helped me get everything I needed to jump start my new hobby. Tons of Cars, Trucks, Buggy's etc... Will return for future purchases for sure!

Mine and my husband's favorite hometown hobby spot! Never once had any issues with attitude or parts or questions. All the staff has always steered us in the right direction, even with advice or opinions. My personal favorite is the selection of children's learning hobby kits for all my nieces and nephews. I've always been able to find what Michael's and Hobby Lobby don't offer for better prices too.

I always enjoy going into Hobby Town in Hickory. Jamie, Eli, David and their sales associates are always very helpful, polite and take time to answer any of your questions or concerns that you may have. They have a huge inventory of various paints, models, RC vehicles (among many other types of hobbies) and a huge parts department to help support your needs.
If you are looking for a location that has it all then go to Hobby Town in Hickory. You won’t be disappointed!

So I have been into the RC hobby for the past 6 months and I really appreciate the warm customer service from the family, along with the other employees . Eli and David have really taught me a lot of good knowledge on how to take good care of my Arrma RC cars and anybody in the hobby knows its not cheap! So I appreciate all the advice they give along the way. Also some reviews I have read are saying, they are over priced, but they seem to be right on track with other competitors from other online shopping that I've researched. So if your ever in the area, stop in and check this place out. They have a lot to offer for your hobby needs.

My husband's favorite store for all of his hobbies. They are welcoming and friendly. When I was pregnant they even gave me place to rest while my husband kept shopping. I will always support this local business and recommend everyone to support then as well. They carry a variety of items and my daughter loves the toy selection.

I love this store. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. If I can’t find it on the shelf, the owner immediately orders it for me. I have been a model builder for many years. This is by far one of the best hobby stores I have ever purchased from.

Haven't been there in a while as work had kept me quite busy, but am now retired and plan to return again. Have always had good experiences in the past. Staff has always been friendly and courteous to me.

I go here all the time for Gundam model kits. Never have been rude to me once always says Hey to me as I walk in and even tells me if they have new ones coming in. Will keep shopping at this store.

Is locally owned and operated. They have a broad array of hobby supplies that rivals Walmart and Amazon. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

So helpful I've never had a problem and the store owner orders model kits for me that I can't find anywhere else and I'll continue to give them my business

I love this store, i have tried a few hobbies and everytime i come in here the staff is extremely helpful, and knowledgable. They can pinpoint exactly where something is in the store, and are good at recommending other products.

Purchased a Traxxas Hoss along with a charger and two 5,000 lipos. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I’m getting back into adult RC. Have three nitros and one brushless.
Just know these are tough high performance/expensive vehicles and you can damage one in a matter of seconds. If you are new to the hobby, be very aware of your surroundings/obstacles in your path. Don’t immediately go upgrading or you will get burned out. Acting civilized will help tremendously when dealing with a family owned franchise. This hobby is great but it isn’t for everyone.
