Great shop for the basics (and then some) for a variety of art projects. Decent selection of low-tech / no-tech gifts and games, as well. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff.

Great selection of art supplies. it is nice to have a neighborhood art store where you can speak with people and have a overview of supplies that are available.

The selection is incredible - the interior was far larger than I expected. There's everything from paint and pencils to crafts and hobby supplies. I was pleased by their selection of writing utensils (e.g. calligraphy and pens). The staff was friendly and prices fair. Finally, the interior design was bright and enthusiastic even if the aisles are a bit small and layout unusual.

Best art store in Pittsburgh. Feels like the Trader Joe's of art stores vs. the Walmart/Target feel of Blick. The employees are SUPER helpful and kind. The store has everything you need! Support local!

Such a fantastic art supply store. And worth a stop even if you're not an artist. They have lovely calendars, journals, kitschy gifts, crafting kits... you get the idea!

For artists of every level and medium!! There's not enough I can say about this place- if I'm comparing it to Michaels? It's as if an actual artist went into Michaels and similar big box stores and PAINSTAKINGLY picked out all the stuff that's ACTUALLY worth it.

Then! They put it all in one store! I could give it 4stars for the prices- but even those aren't that bad for the quality and individuality of the products. This is a must see for yourself. Period. 🖌🎨

My special needs son just had his 27th birthday. Since we discovered this place about 5 years ago, each birthday and Christmas has been extra special. We finally have found art supplies that meet his standards and requirements.

I love a place on the scale of a hole in the wall with the inventory of a big box store. They always have everything I need today and everything I will need tomorrow, and some fun gifts for my kids too. Whether it is student grade or professional I always feel good spending money here.

I love it because they seem to have everything I require! Such a fun store! andI love their staff! They are SO helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone there gets5 stars! It’s an all around wonderful experience! So much fun and so inspirational. I feel completely comfortable asking any questions. There are no snooty looks or attitudes of some other art stores.

Spend your money for your supplies here and you will help keep a small business open, and once u see how wonderful they are, u will always want to go. Extra added plus: there are small parking spaces (about 5 spaces) right outside the shop! Oh and if u r a tattoo artist, you can apply for a discount card!

Friendly knowledgeable staff, wide supply of quality materials. Helpful as I rebuild interest in acrylics. They even have tie-dyes and other crafty kits!

As one of the last independent (and worker owned!) art stores in Pittsburgh, I feel not shopping here is doing a disservice to yourself. The staff are very friendly, and the special orders arrive quickly!

This is the best art supply store in the city hands down! The staff is genuinely helpful and they have supplies for all price ranges! Amazing quality watercolor paper and notebooks as cheap as $3. Amazing place, I highly recommend checking it out.

A&C is always on point. I appreciate the restock of the polymer clay supplies, and this is the go-to spot in Pittsburgh for special acrylics. I get in trouble when I walk past the clearance fixtures in the middle.
