La Dulceria Mexican Candy

Stopped in here yesterday just to check out Mexican candy and ended up leaving with a blanket and a huge framed Marilyn Monroe poster. The amount of candy was massive but I was impressed with the large selection of souvenirs and other items neatly displayed. Prices were cheaper than any other vendor in the area. Owner was very nice and held our items until we were done running around in Old Town for the day.

BEST candy store in Old Town hands down! They have gorgeous souvenirs, delicious candy that you only find in Mexico and a very nice selection of clothing items. The customer service is top notch. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The prices are very reasonable (cheaper than the stores around) with a better selection. Every time we come to San Diego we make our way down to old town and visit these folks. And if you’re driving visit their store Talavera for any flower pot or other decorations, I highly recommend it.

Authentic Dulceria. This store had candy from Mexico I havent seen in years and most importantly great customer service, very friendly staff. They were sweet and patient with my very excited 4yr old.
When in Old Town visiting this store is a must!!

Let me just start by saying Wow. I am truly amazed at how this place is still allowed to be ran with the people it is ran by. I went into place after lunch with my son and were treated very poorly by the person working. As a woman who doesn’t speak Spanish, after asking some questions about their products, the worker would end by saying “pendeja”. After some research I found that this is an extremely offensive word in Spanish. Never again!!!!

Sold us expired candy, smelled bad and couldn’t get it out of the packaging. Went back to ask for an exchange of something that wasn’t expired and said he couldn’t do anything, wasn’t his problem. Wouldn’t recommend for people to buy from here, not good quaility
