This branch in North Beach is my gold standard for all Customer Service. Don continues to be instrumental in my furnishings of new apartment in Russian Hill when I arrived here from NY a year ago. He educates me and together we have made all the right choices. Especially on the lighting and also restoring my chair. Everyone should mimic their attentiveness, knowledge, and emotional generosity in giving their clients expertise , time and energy.

Friendly associates, and have many household essentials in stock in addition to hardware. I highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood to shop locally here instead of Amazon, etc.

This is an excellent network and no matter which of their stores I have been to so far, I have almost always found the goods I need and competent, friendly salespeople who have unobtrusively been nearby whenever I have had difficulty finding the goods I need. That is, quite often :) This is a truly excellent level of service. Thank you guys

I am all praise for Frank, a senior citizen like me.
He is thoroughly knowledgeable about the contents of the store and is super helpful.
I was amazed by his cooperation. When I told him so, he humbly replied that he was answerable to his God and not only to his wife.
He praised the Lord. Americans need to learn a thing or two from him, if not everything.
I wish him a good life ahead.

Shout out to a wonderful guy helped me fix my new Amazon scooter after 7 he was supposed be off but helped me fix my scooter, wonderful people here

This is hands down the best hardware store in the city. Every time you go in, the staff is unbelievably helpful at helping you find just what you need and the prices are super reasonable too. I never shop on Amazon anymore, I just go here. Today in particular I was blown away by the customer service. I am recovering from covid and am stuck at home, but needed a product to fix something that broke at home. I called the store to see what they might recommend. Tina, who works there, picked up and gave great advice along with a product recommendation. I asked when I might be able to pick it up. She said whenever, except there was only one left available. Since I was stuck home with covid and she was worried that they might run out of the stuff by the time I got better, she offered to drop it off at my house herself since I live just around the corner. This place is a true neighborhood gem, with gems of people that work there. You just can’t beat it.

Very nice and supplied hardware store. People there are very friendly, helpful and service oriented. Very recommended

Hardware stores are underrated and so fun to go just to browse. You will find things that u had no idea would be there and that u need. I'd rather shop n browse here than any mall.

I love this store. I never have to look for staff, they find me first. But most importantly, there's been several times where I've hit every store I can think of and can't find what I am looking for in the city (a common problem) and I finally think of Cole and bam! not only do they have what I needed but they've got 2-3 different types and at fair prices, too. Please never close, SF needs you! lol

Sales staff is always friendly and helpful. Their suggestions were perfect. I found hard to match metric screws and bushings to install some cabinet knobs. The finished project looks fantastic thanks to their expert advice.

Dan was the bomb 💣! I went in with a problem, Dan went way above what was expected & solved my dilemma. This is the base of my bike 🚲 box 📦. It broke the night before after the “wife” pushed it rather than pull into a pot hole 🕳. I went in & Dan did an excellent job that meant I wasn’t going to have teouble getting to the airport in 2 days time. I loved the store & bought more items. If they don’t have it, you don’t need it!

I love this place. Its a beautiful store with a great selection of anything you could possibly want and the staff is so helpful and kind. They have tools, paint, garden supplies, touristy stuff, pretty much anything that's useful around the house!

Great store. I have multiple Ace Cole Hardware accounts. Couldn't use the account(s). A woman. (She insisted) Clerk went out of her way to erase all of these accounts and made me 1 account. Done and I was good to go. Pretty cool place.

I simply love everything about Cole Hardware. They might not be where I go and buy my lumber or major building supplies but for anything else I try to get it there first. They just have such a cool place. Anyone that shops there knows exactly what I mean and for anyone who hasn't been there I ask "what are you waiting for?"

Clean, well organized, reasonably priced, and very helpful staff. Oddly enough, a pleasant trip to a hardware store. I would certainly go back for any home or hardware needs. Only downside was I didn't notice any parking, but it's in the middle of a city, so not really to be expected.

Awesome hardware store. Great gifts. Just so much in not a huge place. You can not get better service anywhere compared to the folks that work here. Great customer service. Absolutely fantastic store.
