A huge park with loads on offer. Tennis courts, a skate park, baseball area, open fields, a hike and the best playground in Portland! The surrounding neighborhood is also peaceful and pretty also so this is a must visit park in my opinion. I walked through the adjacent woods in a reasonably short time and recommend it for a little peaceful headspace. It's a simple and non-energetic track of approximately 1km with beautiful trees and woodland. The playground is a must if you have children from 6months to 12years old, and the many tennis courts looked to be well maintained.

I go here a couple of times a month to bring my dog to the dog park. The winter park has sand so that the dogs don't get entirely caked with mud. Walking around the trails is always a nice time. There are a few benches. The community garden next to the winter dog park is really nice.

Amazing playground, totally updated from the last time I was there 9 years ago. Soft, colorful turf underneath all the play equipment, a small sunken trampoline, a tall climbing structure with a long enclosed slide, some bouncing seats that are connected and you control/enjoy as a team of 4, and several other play equipment pieces. Picnic tables in nearby shade, quite suitable for resting, snacking and keeping an eye on the kiddos. When we were there a couple days ago, fr about 11-1, it was full of kids and parents watching from the sidelines, probably 30 or 40 or so kids, but it just felt happy and energetic, not overwhelming and crowded, and that's due to spreading all the at equipment out over a large, quite sufficient space. Very attractive play and picnic setup. Right next to the bathrooms and across from the baseball fields. Highly recommend.

The park has a lot of shades and hills. There are skate park and 3 tennis courts. There is also gym with weight lifting and a swimming pool at the community center building with a small fee. The kids' playground is safe. The dog park has very little to no shade. There is a bulletin at the tennis court to post up announcements or advertise your business.

Great place to take dogs and kids! Brand new park for kids is inclusive and a great experience for everyone. My children love the in-ground trampoline and water feature. And the lower area is my favorite place for dogs as it's very clean, large enough for running and has great visitors. Also did some walking along the windy trails and hills.

Absolutely beautiful park! Highly recommend going there with kids! So many picnic tables and the play area is huge for the kids. It does get crowded.

Gabriel Park is a fantastic multi-use park that is easy to get to from many areas and has ample parking spaces.
In addition to a multitude of fields, courts, and paths, it has an excellent off-leash dog park.

It’s a great place for our four-legged family.
It has a nice-sized Dog Park and there are areas to sit with plenty of shady areas, great on the hot days of Summer!

There are some really nice walking paths, great for families of any age.

This was such a fun park! And part of it is newly renovated with a zip line! The patrol will come for you as soon as it is dark so be aware of the time.
There is a workout circuit, skatepark, library, two baseball fields, a campsite, a disc golf course, a memorial, picnic tables and bathrooms, and a play park with merry go rounds, swings and the zip line.
LOTS TO DO!

I absolutely love this park! Best in Portland, hands down. Right now the restrooms are out of order so it’s porta-potties all the way, and there’s some minor construction in the parking lot, but those are temporary issues. The space is amazing and, with the bazillions of kids always playing there, it is an easy spot for my kids to get their zoomies out. Free range parenting at its best.

The new playground is AWESOME! It has tons of climbing activities, an interactive water feature (more of a water table, not a splash pad), and tons of picnic tables and benches. There are nice shady spots on hot days, and a drinking fountain too! Restrooms are close to the park, and parking is usually easy. I think the coolest thing about this park though, is the material they used for the ground? It is so spring-y, your kid can basically take a header and bounce right back up :)

Awesome, huge city park. I love it for the secluded feeling nature hike area as well as the newly updated playground that my kids love.

Such a fun skate park.
Or, at least that's what I've heard 😉 I don't board but we talked to some kids and they gave it a thumbs up

What a great spot this has been throughout my life! Being born and raised in Southwest Portland, I've always gone to Gabriel Park. Back when it was a park with baseball and a playground I've seen it expand over the decades to include a massive amazing rec center with indoor play courts, oodles of classes and pools for laps and play (with a water-slide) and a large splash pad for the lil ones. Don't forget the Jacuzzi....Back to the park there is a great skate park and a massive dog park fur the pups and acres of open field and trails to wander through.

The dog parks here (both the grassy summer location and the Sandy winter location) are popping, with a bunch of dogs every time I’ve been there, and a lovely community of responsible dog owners.

There’s a lovely community garden, trails and tracks, I love it enough to go most saturdays!

One of my favorite parks on the SW side of town. Tennis courts, kids play area, baseball field, skate park. On the backside, you have the community garden, and the nature trails...doesn't even feel like you're in the middle of Portland suburbia for a few minutes in the woods. If you are a dog lover, the trails are great, and the dog park is always full of courteous dog owners and their friendly pets, with lots of space for your dogs to run.

Great park! More things for kiddos to do compared to a regular park. Just be careful if you are using the tables, each table has a hole in the middle that goes all the way to the ground, last Sunday someone dropped the car key in there, we tried to help but it didn’t work, she was with her kids, they all got so frustrated.
Besides the tables, everything else is well designed.
