We had a wonderful lunch like always at Middle Street. Their bread is just outstanding making anything on it that much better.
Their baked goods are out of this world. I had their bostock a week or so earlier and couldn't wait to come back in and have another! I did today and it did not disappoint!
Service is very friendly and timely for a made to order lunch.

So impressed by the scratch bread baking! Staff is friendly and efficient. Atmosphere got 3 stars bc it is dark if you aren't seated at a window table.

Only open for breakfast/lunch so they close early but if you love sandwiches some of the best around thanks to the house made bread, and simple but unique and tasty fillings. Also very reasonably priced all around.

Best salad I've ever had in my life. Love love love! Fast and friendly service and super fresh foods.

This place is by far the best spot in town for creative, delicious, homemade , and plentiful portions. Everyone who works here is always so cheerful and .... they hustle. The scratch made bread and bakery items are amazing. My favorite is the Tuna as it comes with mouth watering pickled onions that add such flavor to every bite!

I ordered the veggie sandwich to go and it was fresh, nutritious, and flavorful, on generous slices of their whole grain bread. The service was quick. A great little spot, unpretentious and reasonably priced. I will definitely go back.

The pastries are out of this world! Run there, drive through red lights, just get there it’s so good.

Such a great cafe!! Super friendly, down to earth people and delicious food for breakfast and lunch. Great coffee too. An awesome place to grab something to-go or to hangout on the sidewalk tables or at the countertop inside. Love having this place in NBPT!

Great place for cheap eats. Big sandwiches & salads, nice selection, friendly staff, hearty soups. Don’t miss on the veggie chili, just delicious!

Food is always delicious and the staff is awesome

They have fabulous pastries and a good selection of healthy options. My yogurt, granola fruit bowl was delicious if not a tad too sweetened with honey. I only wish it had not been served in a plastic disposal dish, hopefully they'll phase that out. I appreciated that the coffee was in a mug and not a throwaway cup.

One of my favorite local lunch spots, everything is made in house, reasonable prices, lots of personality in offerings. Best thing is the homemade bread you can buy to take home-- amazing. Just paid $6 total for a huge loaf of Wheat AND a French Baguette, both still hot from the oven. Great spot to pick up a to go lunch (salads, sandwiches, salad plates) and head to the waterfront for lunch. House made chicken salad always excellent.

What a great sandwich place. Really their fresh made breads were superb. I recommend the tuna with the pickled red onions on the French bread and make sure to save room for one of the best chocolate chip cookies you will ever have for desert. Slightly off the main strip but so worth it!

MSF is some of the best food in town. I eat here DAILY! Great place for your morning coffee and breakfast. Fantastic café for lunch! The quality of food you would make for yourself and your family if you weren't so darn busy. And it's always delicious and full of flavor. On top of all this awesomeness, it's a good place filled with friendly staff and people! And it's fast!

My family & I love Middle Street Foods! They have delicious sandwiches, a friendly staff and very reasonable prices. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for lunch in Newburyport.
