This is a mainstay of the area, and has always had great food and friendly service. I had the occasion to visit recently for their well known Sunday brunch, and I was as satisfied as in my previous trips. The live Jazz music adds a lot to the warm ambiance of the place. I had extraordinary service from Marissa, who is very friendly and customer focused and made sure I had a good experience. The Crab Cake appetizer was just mouthwatering, and the Thai Chicken Lettuce wrap entree was every bit as flavorful and appetizing. Topping that off with the delicious Lemon Cello cake for dessert made the whole brunch a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this restaurant; worth a stop.

Had the pastrami sandwich and it was very good. Had a slaw on it which I’ve never had on a pastrami so an interesting take on a classic. The sweet potato fries were amazing probably the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Love my steak frites, especially the Loretta salad and fries! Crunchy and flavorful. The spicy garlic glazing in the Brussels sprouts is simply perfect.

Wow! Last minute date night, we walked in Just to see if we could get a seat at the bar.

We were we welcomed at the door to a clearly packed restaurant, instead of being told…. “Sorry we are full”, and no reservations. We were surprised to hear “let me find you a seat!”

Then we get to the food…. The mussels, so good! I wish I had taken a picture.

Scallops, perfectly cooked, filet, equally amazing.

Chocolate mouse, for dessert…. What a great end to an incredible meal.

This is the first of many trips back here!

We stopped here after walking around Newburyport all day and had a great meal! Loretta’s has an awesome grass fed beef burger - it was delicious! The sweet potato fries were super tasty. We also liked the crab cakes and the lobster roll (hot and buttered!) The espresso martini was pretty good too. We would pass on the shrimp scampi though. Overall, would eat here again ,4.5 stars

A great spot for lunch today. We enjoyed a lunch of Thai chicken lettuce wraps, chicken salad, and ice tea. The shoestring fries were delicious.

Being allergic to wheat just plain sucks! Having a place like Loretta's makes things better! Our first visit (and surely not our last) was a true delight! Being allergic to beef and chicken as well, does not leave many options! I ordered the pork dish which was so tender and delicious, I was tempted to lap my plate when done. The owner advised that it was an acceptable thing to do at his place! BTW, their brussel sprouts were delicious but don't tell anyone I said that! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience! Even the customers were friendly and happy! 😘

If you haven't been to Loretta's yet, you are definitely missing out. This is a scratch kitchen restaurant, and the quality is superb. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is very laid back, and the quality of food they pump out is worth the price.

There is something to be said about an establishment whose management is involved in the customer experience. Ted can usually be found walking about and talking to customers, which is out of the norm. With that said, Ted is awesome, and one of these days, I'll have to go and see if he will sit and eat with us!

From a dietary restriction, my daughter has a peanut allergy, and all deserts have no peanuts, so that's a plus. All deserts are made in house, the chocolate mouse cake is to die for!

I definitely recommend the filet, crab cake, salmon, and any of their deserts. I'm definitely a repeat customer who drives 25 minutes to go there!

Had a sit down lunch insides the restaurant as outdoor tables were full. We ordered Lobster Rolls, and Fish Burger as main dishes. The appetizer - Crispy Brussell Sprouts tastes so good. Lobster Rolls are their house specialty. Friendly staffs who maintained conversation with guests.

I stopped by for lunch on a Friday around 2pm. The dining room was still active but not crowded. I was promptly seated and the waitress approached me right away. I ordered the French Dip and it was really good. Nice and hot and fresh. Great atmosphere with a view to the busy Newburyport street. Excellent food, will definitely go back.

The food was delicious and came out fast, the service was great, the prices were very good. They have outside sitting, which was very nice. We got a salad with beets and goat cheese with addition of grilled salmon, Brussels sprouts with sweet chili sauce and a greens salad with tomatoes and Parmesan, walnuts and cranberries. The readings were delicious as well (mango vinaigrette and white balsamic vinaigrette).

Beautiful evening with friends. Dinner was exceptional and made even better with our waitstaff Fiona. Staff is very friendly, from reservation to seating. The web site pictures do not do this justice. Cozy, upscale and inviting.

Visited Loretta for a late lunch, seating outdoors was quick and pleasant. Food was great, and I especially recommend the croque monsieur and the Brussels sprouts. The cocktails were OK.

Food was amazing Filet Mignon amazing cooked to perfection. Waitress was funny, friendly etc. Owner was making his moves to tables talking, laughing and very friendly. I highly recommend. My wife had the Salmon and it was amazing cooked to perfection.

The nicest host i have ever seen! We stopped by asking to check the menu, but the guy at the front was very nice and welcoming that we just decided to sit down without looking at the menu. I ordered a nice salad and we got bread that taste awesome

The French dip was unexpectedly delicious, and we love their mussels too!

The best Croque Monsiuer that was recommended by the manager. As was the Brussel Sprouts. I also had one of my top Old Fashions ever.

Very tasty restaurant with a really nice outdoor seating area. Staff is very friendly and drinks are good! Recommended!

Had dinner to celebrate our friend’s 50th birthday and the food was great, but nothing noteworthy to write home about. It was another dinner out on the town. Later that night (actually around 2 in the morning) I realized I had lost my bracelet, and having stayed the night in Newburyport, my husband and I, along with the birthday boy and his wife, retraced our steps back to Loretta’s prior to getting something to eat for a late breakfast to see if my lost bracelet had been found. When I walked through the doors to ask if anyone had found my bracelet (sadly, no) I realized they were open for brunch, and so we decided to stay and eat here. The place had even more charm the next day. There was a keyboardist and saxophonist playing some tunes, our food was delicious, the drinks (mainly Bloody Mary’s) were fantastic and our waitress, Marissa, was top notch. Sometimes the unexpected brings about the unexpected. It was that morning’s experience that will make me a repeat customer.
