Bob Lobster

Lovely little "clam shack" for summer seafood. Great lobster rolls, lots of prime meat and little else ,though at $35 you would expect that. Fries were fresh cooked and good too. Ambience is welcoming, there some indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating, with great marsh views.

Great selection of seafood, prepared in many different ways. If you like a hot lobster roll go for the avocado. The classic is also great. Onion rings are thin, crispy and melt in your mouth. It gets very packed, so expect to potentially wait for parking but it is well worth the wait! A couple beers and not so great wines available as well - but you aren’t here for that.

Seriously excellent lobster roll and shrimp and a lovely peaceful view to sit and eat. Pricing is high but it’s vacation so you just go with the flow. The shrimp 🍤 was also amazing. My friend said it was the best shrimp she ever had in her life.

One word…. Yummy! Real good clams, lobster, shrimp, scallops. Clam roll is piled high in clams! They also have good salad alternatives.

We were going to head down to Ipswich but this place is just as good with an even larger selection. Also real nice when heading to Plum Island to make this a stop!

Service was great! They walk your order right down to you. Also they helped a lot with parking back there at the same time!

Onion rings are a little on the greasy side, but the clam dinner is generous. The spicy lobster roll is a nice twist on the classic. I didn't note the prices of each, 30+ each. @$85 for a fried clam dinner with onion rings and the spicy lobster roll with fries.
For today's visit, we called ahead to order. Order took longer than anticipated, but that's more than understandable on holiday weekend. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. But note they never include napkins in the to-go bags, though they do include forks, and enough ketchup for an army, which we don't even use .
There can be issues with parking, so we usually take it to go and park at the airfield.

All across the board 5 stars. I was served an amazing plate by the owner himself. Ill just put it this way....I'm never going to Hingham again for seafood...I pray to God I drive by here again!

Going to Bob Lobster officially kicks off my personal feel-good, warm weather time of the year. With unique takes on the lobster roll, there is something for everyone. I chose the Thai chili version, and it did not disappoint! Spicy, buttery goodness! I love the location, and while I didn't stay to eat and gaze at the sunset this time, I certainly will be back to do so.

Lots of varieties of lobster roll. Never knew they had an array of lobster roll style.. Lobster mayo, butter lobster, I had fried lobster sweet chili with avocado and one with prosciutto and truffle aioli... So good, but not cheap. Never a big fan of Lobster roll, but they got my attention.

Prior to this trip, we always ordered lobster boil and steamers. Fresh and delish. Beautiful marshy view outside.

Best clam chowder around! I’m picky about clam chowder, eaten it lots of places, and this is the best New England style I know of. The calamari is also really good. I’ve eaten here at least a dozen times and it consistently makes me happy - shouldn’t have waited this long to leave a review. Beautiful spot and great food!

Best lobster roll I've had since a child! They were huge and claw, tail meat overflowing, buttery and delicious.. the coleslaw was also excellent. Friendly service!

We had the fishermans platter and it was delicious. Nice chunks of haddock, with great scallops and shrimp.

Went to this place based on Google reviews. Gotta say they did not disappoint! Got 2 whole lobsters. They guy behind the counter picked 2 live ones out of the tank and put them in for us. Came out quickly and were perfect. The lady next to us had the seafood platter and said it was fantastic. Just go here. You will like it!

Loved the lobster rolls. Tried the Thai chilli, spicy and lemon tarragon. Favorite was lemon tarragon.

Great little seafood place that we stopped in based on a recommendation. They have about half a dozen specialty lobster rolls, with unique flavors you won't find anywhere else. We had the one with fried lobster and one with tarragon, and came with a generous portion of fries. Both the lobster rolls (and the fries) were excellent. I would love to go back and try the others. The person taking our order was very friendly and helped us newbies on what to order. They also have all types of fried seafood as well. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area.

Awesome seafood place! No frills, just great seafood. Several types of lobster rolls - we had the regular, avocado, and wasabi, all were awesome, big hunks of lobster, not too much mayo, great toasted brioche. Also tried the lobster poutine.....holy schnikies, it was incredible but very rich and a huge portion, definitely try it but can easily share with a large table. Very limited indoor seating and only outdoor restroom, otherwise awesome. We were looking for a local place for great seafood......jackpot!

Food is actually wonderful. I mean even the seasoning is great. The Halibut with lemon cream sauce and the cracker bread crumb is great. The lobster Mac and cheese. And fried shrimp fantastic as well. Wonderful staff. Greag sangria as well.

lovely place for seafood dinner after a day on Plum Island- service was quick & friendly (curbside available if you ask), and nice view of the saltmarsh from the picnic tables. Fried oysters were plump and sweet, done just right, and they buttered and toasted the roll- it's the little things :) this place knows a thing or two about seafood. prices comparable to neighboring towns, portions generous. they even had an outdoor hand-washing setup. We'll be back!

Everything looked so good, we ordered more than we could eat and EVERYTHING was soooo good it was hard to stop! The lobster roll with fried avocado would have passed my aunt's test (and it's a tough one) and the fried clams were the best I've ever had. You definitely need to eat here!

Today on the way back from the beach we stopped at Bob lobster. With lobster in the name I had to try the lobster roll. It was buttery an rich and was amazing. It had a decent amount of meat on it. The lobster roll was $20, and came with chips or coleslaw. I upgraded and got the fries. If you're in Newburyport I highly recommend Bob Lobster.
