The Port Tavern

Fantastic place. The wait was short, 10 minutes. Food was excellent - such fresh ingredients, and everything was perfectly seasoned. The beer list was almost overwhelming, it was so long. The atmosphere was interesting, some areas were broken up to feel more intimate, with almost armchairs to sit in (which sounds difficult, but was comfortable.). Finally, the service was outstanding. It was fast, attentive without being at all intrusive, and came from the entire team. Even prices were reasonable for the experience. We had 4 pints, a large appetizer and two meals, and the bill was about $90.

A very nice tavern! The service was good and quick and the drinks menu is rich. The food was very delicious, the fried Brie was special and mouthwatering so I ordered it twice. Inside decor was interesting.

The only place around with live Irish music. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food is always good. I vote for the fish and chips.

We really had a great time here. Our bar tender took great care of us and they have an excellent selection of craft beer. Their scotch and Irish whiskey menu is also second to none. Surprisingly they had Don Q rum too!!!Definitely coming back.

Came here for lunch. Not busy on a Sunday. Ordered the chicken BLT. Didn't expect much but it was really good! The ingredients tasted fresh! I must also say that the way the sweet potato fries were made did strike a cord with me. Not greasy, not too salty, great consistency, and sweetness! The architecture inside seemed like semi modern tavern. They had all possible football games going on as well. Good size tvs and not overly loud. The staff was also friendly!

Plenty of beers, though heavy on the IPA selection. The clam chowder was great and the shepherds pie hit the spot.

We were seated at a sidewalk table and had a very pleasant dinner at The Port Tavern. The evening weather was beautiful, accentuated by a mild breeze, and there was a buzz of activity from pedestrians and other diners in this attractive area of the old port city. My wife and I both enjoyed refreshing beverages and the grilled chicken BLT sandwich, which was delicious. We received excellent service from our amiable and attentive waitress, Ruby, who was great! All in all, it was a quality dining experience.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here! The Brie appetizer was delicious and so was my burger and sweet potato fries. The staff was very attentive and all smiles despite it being a busy Saturday night. Visited on vacation but wish we had a place this good by me!

We had great sandwiches and service. Can't wait to go again.

Location looks so cool. Food was incredible. Staff was great. Definitely a treat, and one that I'm excited to visit every time I go here!

This restaurant has a beautiful historical interior with comfortable seating, an amazing whiskey, scotch, and beer menu. The French dips are also amazing.

We had an excellent meal here, such a cool pub/tavern. The fried pickles were really terrific and the chili was too, it had such good flavor, the burger was fantastic, it really hit the spot and the fish and chips were so good. Great looking outdoor seating (we sat inside because it was sweltering outside) and the staff was super friendly and attentive! We didn't get beer or I'd review that as well. Overall, a very great place, We will be back to try more!

Absolutely love the port tavern. I have been going here for the last 10 years and always have a great time! The GM abby is so sweet and goes above and beyond for each patron! Can always count on the tavern providing the coldest Guinness pint and great food! Highly recommend the fish sandwich with onion rings!

Amazing grilled chicken sandwich! I rarely go to the Port Tavern and never really think of it as a spot for anything other than standard pub food. The chicken BLT sandwich seemed like a safe bet. It was amazing! Perfection'. It's one of those sandwiches you go back for. Locals remember the burger at Ceia back in the day. The grilled chicken BLT at the Port Tavern is one of those sandwiches.
