Of the many small businesses I have visited over the course of a lifetime, this is one place that truly stands out as exceptional. The quality of the products they carry, the very competitive pricing and the layout of the displays are all great. But what makes this absolutely a unique place is how Steve and AnnMarie run the business. Customer service and care for your project is a priority for them and they treat each customer, new or repeat, with the same level of personal attention. They take their time with you and make sure that you are fully informed and understand the choices at hand. They truly care about how they earn your business, and that is something one will never find in a big box store. I will never go any place else for my lighting needs again, and for those reading this review, invest a few minutes of your time and visit the showroom. Most likely you will feel the same as what I have described here.

I have been working with Steve and Annmarie at Newburyport Lighting Co. for many years and can't say enough positive things about them. They are a small business and I always feel like I'm the most important client to them. The customer service and quality of product is outstanding. They always go above and beyond for all my clients and pricing is competitive. Do yourself the favor and go see them for your next project. You can grab lunch in downtown Newburyport after as a bonus!

Excellent service with lots of options. Steve and his wife spent a lot of time with us making sure we were taking everything into account while we selected new lights for our kitchen and dining area. I would highly recommend them if you want to be treated like a valued customer. They invest the time to get to understand your needs.

My wife and I have been customers since before the pandemic, choosing Newburyport lighting for our kitchen and subsequent bathroom renovations. I was pleased that Stephen was able to make a house call in Manchester, NH to assess our needs in the kitchen lighting design. He has been very responsive to our concerns with any post-installation issues, such as a recent tech lighting transformer failure in a pendant light (2 years old). After helping me troubleshoot the issue he mailed me a replacement promptly. All in all, we have been very pleased to support a family owned business here in New England.

Steve was incredibly helpful and professional. We saw a Hubberton Forge in their showroom while on vacation in MA and they shipped it to us. I wish I lived in the area so we could use them for all our lighting needs.

The staff at the store were super helpful in guiding us through the process of picking out lights for both our bathroom redesigns. They were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about their products and were able to find some alternative orders that were more within our price range. I would highly recommend them for all your lighting needs as I know we will be returning in the future.

Owners are responsive polite and so knowledgeable! I needed to replace a lantern globe that needed to work with other lighting and they really know the available products and can steer you to your price point!

Stopped in as I was looking for a shade for a small lamp. The owner couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful if I were purchasing lighting for a whole house.

Great selection, but not great service. My (3) fixtures did not arrive in the time frame quoted (2 weeks). After 4 weeks, with no return calls offering a time commitment, I cancelled my order. I was told my credit card would be credited for the 50% deposit, but that didn't happen.
