Alchemy Bistro & Bar

My fiance and I have eaten all over the world, including most recently Italy. We ordered the pork chop special, surf and turf, and steam buns and honestly... it's one of our top 5 meals we've ever had. We tried to book another reservation the following night but they were booked, so clearly we need to make another trip out to the vineyard to eat here again. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND making a reservation and eating here!

My favorite restaurant in the whole world. Tonight we sat on the balcony outside and it was magic. Our server was kind and patient. The food always, always delights. And the atmosphere makes me, and everyone, feel special. I love this restaurant so much. ❤

Elegant restaurant to enjoy while on vacation! Friendly staff and beautiful upstairs dining room. Ordered the crispy oysters for an app and the scallops for my entree - both were incredible and delicious. Be sure to plan in advance and make a reservation - this place books up fast!

Very good place in general but very expensive. Top notch menu. Attentive service. Our food arrived only luke warm but I assume that was a fluke.

My daughters and I were seated upstairs in the back room next to the fireplace. It was a fun spot to sit; we could look out across the rooms and watch the hustle and bustle of this lively restaurant. Our server Michael made our dining experience absolutely delightful. By far the best server we had during our stay on Martha’s Vineyard. We shared everything we ordered and were not disappointed with our choices. The Jonas crab and asparagus salad was very fresh, not overdressed and gracious plenty to share. The fresh oysters were also a hit. I split the 2lb. lobster with spätzle and fresh veggies with one of my daughters, it was over the top delicious! My other daughter had the scallops and also found them to be delicious. The girls split the flourless chocolate dessert and enjoyed every last bite!! The cocktails were really good, the wine list so-so but everything else was fantastic. We loved this spot for the fun atmosphere and delicious foods. I highly recommend going. And ask for Michael!

Alchemy is a great restaurant during the season and off season as well as they are open most of the winter. Perfect people watching spot! The food is on point, the service is great - very friendly and approachable managers! Dinner is always delicious but my new favorite is brunch at Alchemy on Sundays. WOW WOW WOW. Go with friends, order everything. The pancrepes, the eggs, the potatoes, the fish cakes, the everything! They also have creative and balanced mocktails for the non-drinkers! A must when in Edgartown!

Loved this place. The bartender did not have orange bitters, but other than that, the food was amazing.

We went earlier so we had no wait and we also had a reservation (which I would highly recommend).

The food is absolutely phenomenal. The portions are larger. My wife and I could have easily split an appetizer and entrée.

Food ambiance and device was all above par. Excellent attention to detail. Great cocktails. Def would go here again next time I’m in Edgartown.

We had our anniversary dinner here on 5/1. Upon sitting at the bar, we were given a glass of excellent champagne. Stewie was a great bartender, very friendly and provided great service all night. We met 2 regulars; Charlie bought us a drink and Skip shared his scallops. We both had the surf and turf with a very generous portion of butter poached lobster and filet medallions. Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

The Alchemy was top notch. The staff were kind, extremely knowledgeable, and attentive. The food was so well seasoned and truly delicious (I had the Chefs Special- Tuna Steak + Coconut Rice) The appetizer - fried calamari was lightly breaded and crispy, the perfect combination. The Brussel sprouts were the perfect complement to the dish. Overall great experience. I encourage all to go.
