Looking for a quiet, intimate spot for breakfast, lunch, or early dinner? Linda Jean's is NOT it. But if you're looking for an outstanding home style meal, there is no better place to go than Linda Jean's in Oak Bluffs.

I had the 3 piece fried chicken plate, with a generous helping of cole slaw and mashed potatoes smothered in brown gravy: superb! My other half had the fried chicken sandwich and fries: equally tasty.

Two BIG lunchtime meals and 2 bottomless sodas, came to just under $60 with tip. But we won't need a big dinner after this meal.

Absolutely lovely place! We went for breakfast on a quiet Monday morning. Our server was fantastic and the food was delicious. Best breakfast burrito I’ve had in a long time!

What a gem! Cute diner. Booths, tables, restroom for customers. Full menu. Lunch is at noon, breakfast in AM. Soothing atmosphere. All ages. Excellent steak and eggs!

Really so cute with the changes made by the new management/owners ! Linda Jeans is a nostalgic breakfast spot to me personally. I went on my birthday and the waffles and home fries were great. Went for dinner with my family and we ate nearly everything on our plates then I recommend me and my friends come for breakfast another time and the portions were just outstanding. Felt clean and organized with apparent care for the details.

A friend recommended this place because of the home fries and they were absolutely spot on! These home fries were a delight. It was very busy in the restaurant but the staff were tentative and kind.

EDIT 3: I've returned a year later, and though "The Mess" is not on the menu anymore, I was quite satisfied with the "Healthy Start". All of the vegetables were cooked to absolute perfection. I ate all my potatoes again, which are gently seasoned, just right. Wish they had rye toast, but the sourdough more than fills the gap. I love coming to LJ's when I'm on the island.

OLD REVIEW: I ordered “The Mess”. The eggs were perfect, the spinach steamy and flavorful, the cheese super stringy. I never eat all my potatoes, but I did here. My coffee cup stayed full. My breakfast was served to me by the cook, who told me to enjoy. I did.

The environment feels very nice. I’m gonna chill here and play my GameBoy for a while, taking advantage of the bottomless coffee.

The only room I found for improvement: please install hooks to hang up my purse and coat inside your ladies’ restroom. There are a few outside, but I definitely don’t want to leave my purse out of sight.

Edit: Came back 2 days later and ordered the same thing. No regrets.

Edit 2: Somebody paid my bill for me! I talked to no one while I was here, I do not grok. I’m very thankful. Six stars??

Always a great meal! Fast, friendly service; a diverse menu; large portions and nice daily specials. I often go for breakfast, but lunch and dinner are equally enjoyable. There is often a wait, especially in season, but you can leave your cell number and they will text you when your table is ready or you can seat yourself at the counter in the back (first come, first serve).

Very convenient way of getting into the waiting list and being notified. Food was good, portions sizes were not huge which we liked rather than wasting a lot of food. Reasonable prices. Recommend for breakfast or brunch.

My family and I visiting Martha’s Vineyard from Atlanta had breakfast here. It was delicious! The wait wasn’t too long considering it was a busy weekend. The hostess and waitstaff were very attentive. Our food came out within a reasonable amount of time. The portions were generous and we enjoyed our meals.

Kind greeting, welcome feel, quick and steady service. Nice feel overall. Clean bathroom and most of all, great breakfast.
French toast cooked perfect, bacon was very good. Price was fair.

First day on the island dinner at Linda Jeans! I enjoyed the chicken finger platter with a lemonade ginger ale mix drink. The staff was friendly. Facilities were clean. Food delivery to the table of 6 was timely. I will definitely be back again.

My family and I ate at Linda Jean’s for breakfast on back to back days during our visit to Oak Bluffs.

The restaurant did not take reservations, yet they accommodated us quickly though it was quite busy.

Staff was extremely friendly and efficient, and made sure all our needs were met expeditiously.

Food was scrumptious — one day I had the Sampson (French toast, eggs, and sausage) and the next day I did the Eggs Benedict alongside a Bloody Mary.

Food hit the spot, and the drink got me ready for the day ahead!

This was my first trip to Martha’s Vineyard and Linda Jean’s was recommended. The greeter and waitress were friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was delicious with good portions. I will definitely eat here again on my next visit.

Staff was very friendly. The menu while small covered all the bases. The kitchen put out delicious food in lightning fast time!

My friend and I had a nice lunch there the other day. The food was good and the help was friendly. Prices were reasonable for the Island. Quiet in the off-season but still serving the locals and occasional tourist.
