Just happened across this gem on my way back from a roadtrip! The atmosphere was just fantastic. The owner has done a wonderful job with setting up a space that feels like a joy to be in and so welcoming. I didn’t wanna leave. The staff is so amazingly friendly and helped when we had no idea why to get!! I really love that they cater to people with dairy/gluten/ vegan restrictions too which is always great to know; my brothers knew favorite spot now! We’ll always stop by when in the area

Pros: Olives bakehouse is very proud of the quality of ingredients they use to make their products in house. I didn't realize before this, that I've never had a from scratch English muffin. It was. So. Good. Bagel sammy was legit. Maple lattes blew my mind - highly recommend. Drumroll - The sandwich was the cheapest I could find in Newburyport. I didn't expect the best breaky sandwiches to also be on the normal priced side. 🫶 Thank you, Olives. For feeding us to the good stuff at a good price.

Cons: They have baked goods, gluten free items just as delicious as the gluten stuff, and sometimes donuts, and 100% chance of a line down the side walk. It moves, don't worry. You're going to wait, and unfortunately you will most likely get pastries or brownies or cookies or cake pops or ... Other things to go even though you were only thinking about breakfast. 🤤

Best biscuit I Have ever had, very accommodating with soy allergy I got a bagel which wasn't homemade but still really good and scallion cream cheese which was new to me but still amazing- stopped here coming from Boston heading to Maine and it was maybe 2 minute detour easy street parking, and the medium cappuccino I got was also phenomenal will definitely keep this place in my itinerary for maine to Boston trips

Gluten Free Chocolate Chip cookies! That's the one thing my wife wants me to let you know. We were fortunate to stop here while traveling through. We got a few coffees, crescents (not GF) and cookies. After we drove away my wife started raving about how amazing the GF Chocolate Chip cookies were. She told me several times they were the best she ever had and wished that we had gotten more. I had a bite (even though I love gluten in my cookies) and I have to admit they were great. Thanks for a great treat! My wife's only regret is that we were traveling (11 hours away) and we won't be in the area again to get some more. If you stop by, be sure to eat a GF cookie for her!

What is not to love about this place?! The food is out of this world amazing and the coffee hits the spot and comes out piping hot every time! They also cater to people with dairy/gluten/ vegan restrictions too which is always great to know! Will for sure be coming back for the friendly smiling faces!

Was told to go here by a friend in town. It did not disappoint! I had a breakfast sandwich on a homemade english muffin and a mocha latte that was very flavorful. This is a great place to grab a quick breakfast bite.

The GF pastry options are delicious. And the coffee is perfect every time. Service is always friendly.

Started coming here right when they opened - they make my favorite latte around. Has since moved away but we still make the trip at least once a month.

Hands down best pumpkin muffin I've had in my life. WORLD famous good. Also the homemade syrups for their lattes knock it out of the park. Don't walk, RUN and get you some.

Always our #1 go-to when time allows us to go. A true hidden gem in Newburyport. We love to support small business in general, but even more so when the ownership and employees are so passionate about what they do. We hope to be able to enjoy their great food and beverages for years to come.

Great coffee and baked goods, everything is perfectly placed inside the shop, and there is plenty of outdoor seating, staff is always so kind. Pride of ownership shows. Love this spot!

I want to say I saw what I was missing .because when I was always visiting upstairs I was asked to not go into your coffee shop. I really wanted to try it out I'm glad I finally got to try it out you have a beautiful atmosphere and very friendly staff. I have been to Olive’s a bunch of times since they opened up. Since day one they have always been amazing! Staff is always super friendly, fast, and happy to give recommendations.
I often stop by before or after classes, or before work. My most recent favorite drink has been the iced chaider. It’s the perfect amount of apple cider to chai ratio. If I’m not getting the chaider, I’m typically getting an iced caramel macchiato with oatmilk. Olive’s coffee is great! Way better than Starbucks or Dunkin. I would much rather support local to get a better tasting coffee.
If you’re wondering about Olive’s baked goods. They are amazing! I’ve tried everything from the cinnamon rolls to the muffins. I’m not one that typically gets baked goods, but once in a while I will. My favorite baked good at olives would have to be the cinnamon rolls!
If you’re ever in the area and looking for a small coffee shop/ bake house to stop at. Without a doubt do I recommend Olive’s coffee, you will not be disappointed at all.

I love this local spot 😊 it’s so cute inside, the baked goods are delicious and all the coffees and flavored lattes I’ve had have been incredible! The staff is always happy kind and helpful. Definitely a favorite spot to stop in with friends from outside of town

Love this little shop! Use to go to their location in Charlestown years and years ago! All the baked goods are EXCELLENT! Lattes are great! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Just left after my first time going to Olive's and everything we had was fantastic! The space is beautiful with awesome decorative lighting, and the staff was friendly and nice. And the food! We got a blueberry scone, blueberry tea cake, honey bun, breakfast cookie and a sour cream coffee cake. Everything was great, same goes for the maple latte I had too! I'm really looking forward to our next visit!
