Castaway Cafe

We live 2 minutes down the road and have never tried this place but I use to get lots of door dash orders from here and wondered how it was. Just tried it for the first time and it is absolutely delectable! I ordered the chicken tikka Marsala, my fiance got the Philly cheese steak sub, and my kids got the chicken fingers and seasoned fries. We ordered online for pick up and the food was ready at exactly the time they said it would be done. 8.5/10 we will be supporting this business from here on out!thank you so much for the delicious food!

Just off the side next to the Polar Caves is a GEM for REAL Indian food .2 Chicken dishes steeped in those enticing spices with Basamati rice.Big portions.Clean,pleasant small place run by a sweet couple.Pizza,paninis and subs are there,too.Plenty of parking ,handicapped accessibility.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. This place is amazing. We have been several times and it hasn’t disappointed us yet. The owners are super sweet too and truly gracious to have your business.

Came here, for the first time ever, this afternoon, and got a late breakfast. The first thing I have to mention is how wonderful and welcoming the family was. They all have great personalities, are quite engaging and their smiles definitely make you feel welcome and appreciated 🥰 I would go out of my way to come back for breakfast (or try lunch or dinner) because of their hospitality and service, alone - So, you already know, I was extremely pleased to find that the food was fantastic, as well. It just doesn't get any better than that! They have a few tables inside to sit at and a few tables outside to eat at, as well. I'm not sure if it's table service, or not. I believe they started as a pizza shop type of place and then added breakfast to the menu, so you order the way you would at a pizza shop: at the counter, and then get called up to the counter to grab the food when it's done. I'm not sure, though, because I didn't attempt to get table service.
I don't see that being much of an issue for anyone, unless you're trying to have the type of dining experience where you're catered to, at the table. So, if you're looking to be waited on or have a fancy vibe while you have breakfast or dinner, this isn't the place - but if you're not concerned with any of that and you're just looking for a nice place to have a wonderful breakfast prepared by some incredibly kind people - this is the place to go! 😊

I had a veggie omlet with homefries.
The potatoes were seasoned to perfection and they were nice and crispy. My omlet was delicious and loaded with veggies 🤤😋

Our first time here and we will definitely be back. Delicious subs and seasoned fries, nice quiet spot for a quick lunch. Service was excellent, thank you!

Best $7 I've ever spent. Linguica, egg n cheese on a English is str8 ⛽. The best part about this spot is their affordable, we poor people can finally eat good !!

Little gem on RT 28. Excellent chicken tiki masala. My companions had very good paninis. Fresh and all in house made. Small space with just a few tables by what looks to be a VERY busy takeout lunch business (so the locals know!)

One of the best steak bombs I have enjoyed. Perfectly melted cheese with green peppers and onions complemented this hardy meal. Crisp hot fries as well.

We’ve been frequenting the Castaway (a lot!) for takeout while going through a kitchen renovation. Whether it was a salad with grilled chicken, sub or an ethnic dish on the menu, the Castaway has become the family favorite! Very fresh salads, generously portioned subs, huge delicious pizzas and well seasoned meals were continuously dependable and enjoyed by me and my family! Service was prompt and always with a smile. The owners are very kind, friendly, hardworking and welcoming! I highly recommend you give it a try. Will not disappoint!

Castaway cafe is a nice little spot in the cape. The prices are really good. The quality is even better. I frequent many breakfast and lunch places around here and castaway cafe is definitely somewhere to stop if you want a quick bite. The owner is such a nice lady and the chef is a very kind man as well. Definitely would recommend.

We eat there almost every Fri and sat. Great ruebins and fresh salads. Greek salad especially.

I had an excellent Reuben, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Surprisingly good hole in the wall grinder shop. We stopped on our way off the Cape and had a nice relatively inexpensive lunch. The grinder was a good size for a reasonable price and was made quickly. Should be a popular spot during the summer season with the ice cream shop next door.

Amazing food! They gladly accommodated our large family of 12, we filled the seats! The service was top notch and the experience was great! The food was delicious! If you are in the area, you should stop in and order a meal! Enjoy!

I have been here several times, it's an absolute gem. The prices are so reasonable and the food is delicious. My ham and cheese omelette is scrumptious, I'm eating every bite. ❤

My new favorite take out place on the cape by far! Everything I've ordered from here is very good but I especially love the country fried panninie and the steak bomb. 😋 Everyone I've introduced to the place through take out family/ friends has loved it too! This place is my local go to curry chicken on the fly. The seasonings are great and the chicken is so tender it falls off the fork!
Also the people that own it are so sweet and always smiling! Great go to for lunch!

Great staff, really good food. It's a tiny little hole in the wall cafe, but that only adds to the charm. Prices are very reasonable, as well.
Update: literally everything I've tried here is TOP NOTCH quality prepared food. Just had the blackened chicken panini....might be the absolute BEST sandwich I've EVER had!

This is our 2nd time ordering there since we moved here and it's delicious. We got the chicken dumplings, blackened chicken panini, seasoned fries, and buffalo chicken strips. Those dumplings are my new staple. I will not place an order without them from here on out.
