St.James Academy

I was a student here almost 10 years ago and this school should not be allowed to function. The education is sorely lacking, they would fail to reach basic biology for fear of exposing children to human anatomy, the priest who taught here and to my knowledge still teaches here, was power hungry and blatantly antisemitic. On several occasions he confiscated books claiming that they were Jewish propaganda- the books in question were the Diary of Anne Frank and Marathon Man. The sermons told by the priest were littered with antisemitism, stating that “the Jewish people are the root of evil” - it was this blatant hatred that eventually drove my family from attending the church. The priest was also related to several families and displayed nepotism to his nieces and nephews that were students. The punishments were cruel and unusual- including making students shave with a rusty razor when their facial hair was not in compliance. I could go on for a very long time, but this school should not be considered a place of education- it is a cult that’s main goal is to indoctrinate students with whatever “Catholic” agenda they see fit, and any true Catholic would see that this place is hateful and harmful to students. Do not send your kids to this school unless you want them to undergo extreme trauma.
