Google reviews fall on deaf ears. This school sets higher standards that will prepare the kids for the academic level desired by most colleges. The grading scale is tough, but it is also a reality. I have classes in which a 75 is a low C and a 74 is an F. Keep up the good work St. A!!

They've never ceased becoming more and more restrictive/controlling. They've even gone from the annual update of the student handbook to updating portions of it as they go so that what you thought you were getting at the start of the school year isn't necessary what you're going to get. What they call teaching accountability means if your child forgets an assignment at home and you rush it to the school that same day they'll forward it to your kid at the end of the day so it is late. Yeah that'll learn'em alright, like they never forget or make mistakes. Of course to cut down on the complaints this policy draws, children are no longer allowed to call home. Something they do that truly baffles all the parents I've spoken with, is the insistence that art is more important than computer. Art is a letter grade class while computer is pass/fail. Children have been kept from the honor roll because they didn't color or paint to suit the eye of the art teacher. A lot of unseasoned teachers each year seems to bring a different crop of new teachers which is problematic when they assign test and assignments of 10 or less questions which stacks the odds against an A since each question missed is a letter grade. Even if in the big picture enough 90% grades can still get an A... kids are almost always blind to the big picture. They get a couple D's or an F and they lose hope when they shouldn't. Maybe they should teach averages at an earlier age. On the bright side the education is far better than the public schools, I just wish the money in public funds that would go towards my child's education was made available to me to pay the tuition at the school of my choice.

Their sport program is horrible. No organisation whatsoever. You know when the kids have practices/games the day of or a day before.
Your kid will have the first match/game after only one practice. My son just meet the couches (because cancelling the sports practices happens very often) and he will be playing (more of standing around I would say) the next time they meet. He doesn't even know how to handle the ball. 45 mins practice is sufficient for the kids to start a tournament.
This is the second time I signed my son up for sports at the school, just giving it a second chance and to be honest I am more than disappointment.
1st sport - Flag Football
2nd sport - Basketball.
