Mojito in Havana

We had a group of 9, so I called and reserved a table. I’m glad we did, because the restaurant was fairly busy even on a Thursday. Our server was amazing and so attentive. She made sure we always had full drinks, our order was perfectly accurate, and she was so nice as well. According to the receipt, her name is Carolina. The food was amazing (as always!). We also loved the live music. This is one of my absolute favorite places to eat when we are in Louisville. Thank you for another great dinner!

I have not felt very well the past few weeks, but after having dinner with the JCC social club at Mojito in Havana in Saint Matthews, I feel like a new person!
The cities best salad was at Dittos in the Highlands for years before I found this place, the combination of surprises were literally a treat, and next time I will take better pictures so I can make mine better at home, the Mediterranean salad (no cheese, the grilled vegetables and a basket of fries completed by two Cubano coffees were the epic experience I have had in a long time, with a musician playing wonderful music right next to our tables of about 30 people!
Everyone of our guests were overwhelmed by the quality and kindness of the servers and management as they brought our wonderful foods.
Plus I have felt relief after eating there, this being my second day, quality is medicinal! :) Thanks to everyone who made this experience possible! :)

Nice place larger than it appears. There's parking in a back lot behind the place, which we didn't know. No wait and service was quick. Everything we ordered was excellent. The flat bread was a creative fusion dish. The soup was really good too. We also ordered the combo appetizer dish, also very good. The banana dessert was insanely good and memorable. Highly recommend this place for ambiance, service and food.

We got a table right away and the server was very nice. The food was excellent and we didn't have to wait very long for it. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. I put 4 stars for service because, while our waitress was very nice, we did have to get her attention twice for different things. Overall a great experience.

My fiancé and I love to eat here, so much so that we’ve been going pretty much every weekend for the past two months. And they never miss, service is phenomenal and food is amazing every single time. Even on busy Saturday evenings, service is pretty swift. We also love the environment and the live music. I can tell the staff works as a team to keep things running smoothly. I’ll keep going back as this has become our favorite spot.

I am a traveler. Thought I would try something different tonight, so glad I did. In all my travels I never ate Cuban. Boy was I missing out on a great part of life. The staff at Havana Rumba was amazing and dedicated to quality service. Elizabeth was awesome and recommended an awesome meal. Please check out my pictures. I will be back next time in town. As a Cuban, this is my favorite restaurant in Louisville. I have been here several times and it’s always good and consistent. I’ve taken several American coworkers here and they all leave with a good impression. Saturdays are my favorite because of the live music. On my last visit I had a a couple of passion fruit-mango mojito that were amazing! Highly recommend their camarones al ajillo and all Pork and Beef dishes.

Loved the food! It was super busy and a little loud when we went, but they seated us quickly, our waitress was super nice (and bilingual), and most importantly, the food was delicious and plentiful (we ate seconds for lunch the next day). Our plates were $18 each, but with drinks and tax, the cost went into the next range, but you could do it for less if you wanted to.

We had a wonderful experience with our family of 6. We have kids 9,7,5.2. The kids meal had lots of options- traditional and Cuban. The portions were filling for my 9 year old and we loved it came with fruit and fries.
My husband had the steak chimichurri and I had a salad with grilled chicken. We got a side of yuca fritas. The hostess and servers were so friendly and the service was very quick. The food was fresh and yummy. The kids tenders were made with fresh chicken which we think is amazing. There was live Cuban music and the atmosphere was fun, friendly and inviting. A wonderful restaurant we will be back on our next visit to Louisville.

Y'all know that we love Cuban food and Mojito in Havanna is now in the top 2! The Ropa Vieja melted in our mouths. The Congri Rice...lord, it was a flavor explosion with cumin! I had Masas de Puerco, fried chunks of pork with pickled red onions & chimichurri sauce. Absolutely delicious! Try the Cuban Sampler for an appetizer. We can't wait to come back.

I loved everything about this restaurant. The entertainment for the evening was so good. He was singing all types of music. It was a perfect place to dine with a group of 12.

I ordered the Solomillo Cabrales and it was excellent. Not only did it taste delicious but the presentation was beautiful. The table shared the vegetarian queso and well and we loved that plantains were used in place of chips. I would order either of these 2 items again.

They do have authentic Cuban options. The dishes come in generous portions. The drinks look amazing too. I would try them next time.

Yuca fries were delicious! Fun vibe and fun restaurant! Cuban music playing ! Colorful decor !

Amazing restaurant! My advice is to go pork over chicken entrees - much better flavor. Plenty of parking right behind the restaurant. Would come again.

My family had an amazing dinner tonight. The food and service was excellent and I am so thankful for all the gluten free options.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. Our server Carlos was excellent.

Great Margaritas

This restaurant is spot on! Best of (on/off island) Cuban cuisine authentically prepared and presented. Contemporary plating. Atmosphere felt perfect and contributed to overall experience. Consider the Cuban Sampler, Pollo con Queso; we’re glad we did followed up with Cafe Cuban and a serving of Cake de Bombon which is plenty for two. Enjoy!
