Best Liquor Store and Service!!! The team at State were absolutely amazing! We are visiting Louisville on a family trip and they went above and beyond to ensure we found local small batch bourbon to match our preferences. Additionally, we were sharing our disappointment about not being able to locate an open distillery tour during our stay. Rebecca reached out to her contacts and took down our contact info and after less than an hour found one vacancy for our party of 6 on the prohibition tour. They take time to get to know customers and have amazing customer service. I will certainly be back to visit again on our next trip down. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

There's everything to like in a liquor store that's locally owned and operated and offers a large (and excellent) selection. It can be sort of like going to your neighborhood hardware store, but you get to share what you buy (if you're willing). Yes, State Liquors feels very welcoming.

This place is awesome. Small, quaint, knowledgeable staff, great bourbon and more importantly rye selection. It has become my store of choice and frequent stop on the way home from work. "Consistent" would be my one word description.

Big box liquor stores can never compete with a small, specialized, and smart liquor store. You will find better beer, wine, bourbon -- and more knowledgeable staff -- selection here than at nearly any liquor store in SDF. Go and talk to the people behind the counter and they have a solution for you. I live closer to a massive store but drive the extra mile to go here.

Nice selection. The owner was very helpful in giving information about bourbon in Kentucky that isn't available elsewhere so I could make good selections to bring home for a friend.
