Syrian Grill Abu Abdu

We were visiting Louisville downtown and looked for authentic Mediterranean cuisine, we tried one and then the next day we tried Syrian Grill and Syrian Grill was best of all 👏🏻
The atmosphere was cool and it looked like authentic Arabic houses in historical places.
The place was very clean and had a comfortable dining room.
The staff were very nice and welcoming.
The food was tasty and smelled good 😋
We placed our order and it took less than 30 minutes to get served, the chicken shawarma wraps were the best part, the grilled chicken thigh was so tender and juicy.
The fattoush salad was perfect and not too sour.
The prices are fair and the service was great.
The fries were not greasy and fresh.
They also have desserts like chocolate cake, baklava, and gelato ice cream but we didn't have room for sweets this time.
Enjoyed the experience here and will save the place for my next visits to Louisville.
Their menu is all Halal and they have vegetarian options too.

I was looking for an Arab restaurant and finally, I found this restaurant.
The food portion is more than enough. It tastes very delicious.
The ozie lamb will blow your mind, the meat will melt in your mouth intestinally.
The chicken shawarma had a very nice texture and spices with a lot of garlic sauce.
The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating.
I highly recommend it.

My husband and I really our meals each time as food is absolutely delicious. Flavorful dishes with the most tender meats I’ve ever eaten. Veggies are excellent as well and are perfect for a recommended healthy diet. Wonderful staff and owner.

Had a great experience for my first time at this restaurant! The service was kind and even though we had an initial order inaccuracy with our meal, the staff was quick to correct it. They got a hot and fresh plate of food out to us that was exactly what we wanted. Very impressed and grateful for their service! We had the chicken shawarma dual meal and the seasoning was incredible. The citrus carried through the shawarma and the fries were absolutely the best I’ve had. I could have probably gone back just to order the fries as a snack! Haha. The restaurant was very clean and I felt the pricing was very reasonable for the quality and quantity. We will be back to try more of the food! Thank you!

The food at Syrian Grill Abu Abdu was superb. It would shine when compared to any restaurant. The Baba Ghanouj was smoky, creamy, and delicious. Each of the kebabs was juicy, beautifully aromatic, and with just the perfect melange of spices. The "meat on bread," a thin layer of delicious meat that I believe was fried onto bread, was indulgent and full of flavor. The Ozie Lamb was rice just suffused with the flavors of lamb and with meat that absolutely fell off the bone, clearly cooked long and patiently. Only the barest hints of spices needed: the flavor of the rice and meat carried the day. My partner and I both ate till we were fit to burst and still had lots left over. We're going to be back, and soon.

This was my wife's and I first time having Syrian food. We have had other types of Arabic and Mediterranean food. The food was very good. Lots of spices and different cooking methods. The decor and wait staff was very nice and accommodating to my wife dietary restrictions. Would definitely return.

GREAT food - we are visiting out of town and were looking for halal food and found this place. Delicious food with almost no wait time. Try their family deal if you have more than 3-4 people. ❤ loved it..

I love this restaurant a lot. Ive tried = Baba Ghanoush, Fattoush salad, Tabouli, Hummus & more. Very tasty and very delicious. Friendly staff. Quick service. Beautiful water fountain in dining room on right side.

The food was incredible! Tastes like my vacations in the Middle East! Highly recommend the tabouleh, chicken shawarma, the meat pie, and lamb skewers! Have yet to try more, been there 4 times now and counting!

If you're looking for something a little different than the norm then definitely give the Syrian Grill a try.
The food is as fresh as you can get. Takeout selections are prepared to order so there's a bit of a wait but the restaurant itself has lots to look at and enjoy.

Lamb, chicken, veg. Kebabs, dinner plates, shawarma.
Salads are zesty and fresh, hummus is freshly made Soooooo much awesomeness to choose from.

The staff are happy and will help you if you're new to such ethnic delights but be prepared - not much English thrown around here so lots of smiles and pointing!

Try the quick and easy $6 lunch sandwich for an idea of what's to come.

This place was an awesome experience
The vibes are authentic, food is awesomely good. Got me a whole lotta extra lime free of charge
and they also have free Arabic coffee and tea like seriously I barely ever see that in the US.

Tasty place for some Mediterranean food. I had the biryani with chicken and it was very good. Interestingly, it was different than what I'm used to with Indian biryani, instead of being spicy, it was a little on the sweet side. I also was able to taste the lamb kebab wrap and it was good as well. Prices are very fair, so if you're in the area give it a shot.

Amazing food! The lamb is so tender and delicious. Has roasted walnuts and we ordered wonderful hummus as the side. Best hummus I’ve had in town! Would’ve taken a better photo but it looked too delicious coming out!

I had a birthday dinner there and the staff was Amazing. They also cleaned after everything, always wiping down tables and cleaning floors. I absolutely love this place. The food is always perfect and the staff is so nice making sure everything I order is perfect and to my liking. Sorry for the poor quality but i order Lamb with pilof rice i think ... It's the pot that takes like 2 days to make and it was sooo delicious. I would definitely order again if i had another get together. The lamb was falling of the bone and the rice was cooked to perfection. My entire family loved it. I had a wonderful night and would definitely recommend.

What an amazing food at an amazing price. The food is cooked fresh, and quality is outstanding. Their tabbouleh salad is one of the best I've had. If you want authentic and high quality food at unbelievable price, go here

Got the quarter chicken and rice for $7.50 and absolutely loved it, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Also got a large baba ganoush for $5 that was a great value, my only complaint is that I would like to have gotten some type of bread with it. I will be back for sure.

I would suggest adding brief descriptions to the menu items. It can be tough to order when you don't know what it's is.
