Senza Gluten by Jemiko 100% Gluten-Free Cafe &Bakery

During our trip, we made plans to eat here, even though it was a little out of our way. It was so worth it. It is rare that I can go to a restaurant and order anything in the menu, so this was a special treat. If you are on a gluten free diet, I absolutely recommend a stop here. We loved everything we had, and I would love to go again!

We’re not gluten free but we really enjoy this place. Fresh, delicious food but quite small portions. The chicken salad and pancakes were our favorite items from this meal. We were curious to taste gluten free pancakes and they were a little more chewy (in a good way). Excellent service. We felt like we were in Europe somewhere.

The service, atmosphere, and especially the INCREDIBLE food here made this one of our favorite brunch spots (if not our #1 choice!) on our recent NYC trip.

My husband has Celiac Disease, so finding a restaurant where he can eat safely is always of paramount importance. Unfortunately, some places have gluten-free options that are safe but just not that tasty. Senza Gluten is the best of both worlds! It's a 100% gluten-free restaurant, and everything we had was absolutely delightful!

He got the French toast, which he said was excellent, and I ordered the cheese bread. I love cheese and I love bread, and oh my word, I'd order this again in a heartbeat! It was essentially a bowl made out of bread, filled with gooey, buttery, delicious, cheesy goodness. 🧀🤤 I cannot believe I ate the whole thing, but WOW, how incredible! I recommend it 100%, and if we went back, I'd get it again!

We also ordered a cinnamon roll to go, and it was wonderful! The cinnamony, sugary, ooey-gooey tastiness of a cinnamon roll can be hard to capture in gluten-free foods, but this place clearly knows what they are doing with gluten free baked goods! If you're hesitating, don't; just add it to your itinerary! Just make sure you bring cash or an Amex!

This is the second time I have eaten here when coming to New York City, and it didn’t disappoint! I got the chocolate chip pancakes and they were AMAZING. They were similar to what I assume Japanese pancakes are like.

The ambience is great (we ate inside, but there is outside seating available), and the service was fast. I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in New York City!

What a lovely little place!

I went there with high hopes to try their desserts. When I ordered, the employees informed me it was cash only - which I did not have on me. I was about to walk away when they offered me a tea on the house (originally, I was going to have a tea and a pastry and read a little). They made me a cup of tea, so I sat on the cushioned window seat for a little. They were so nice, so professional. Definitely coming back to try the desserts as they looked so good.

I have never had this many options or such a wide array of choices since becoming coeliac. I went there multiple times, I'm obsessed. This is the best place to go for gluten free foods, I'm in awe at how amazing everything tasted, and the texture of everything was incredible! The staff are also very friendly and helpful :)

We came in for breakfast and had an avocado toast and a quiche - both portions were super huge and delicious! Very fresh ingredients - loved the goat cheese of the toast. We ended up getting a Nutella donut for dessert as well - soooooo good!!! I can’t believe it was gluten free!

I was fascinated, from its decoration to how fantastic its food is, a 100% safe and allergy-free experience. I recommend them with confidence. (note: they only accept cash or American Express) their entire menu is GLUTEN FREE 🤩

Enjoyable experience. One of our party is gluten free and she appreciated being able to order anything off the menu. We sat outdoors and it was just a bit cramped, but worth it to watch the people walking by on the sidewalk. Good food, good coffee, love the furniture inside and scenes from yesterday.

Family had a wonderful breakfast. Pancakes, French Toast and Avocado Toast. Portions were generous. Service was attentive and friendly.

Amazing breakfast here this morning. My fiance and baby are both gluten free and they loved every bite. I tried both meals and the bread, everything was superb. This is exactly what we were looking for!

Celiac Disease is a disability. Senza Gluten Cafe & Bistro helps a celiac feel like a normal person. Bakery treats from a dedicated gluten free facility. The FIRST eclair I have eaten in thirteen years! Every bite was a little bit of Heaven! Not having to read the label. Not having to worry about cross contamination. Not having to worry that I will have pain for days and sick for weeks. Thank you so much Senza Gluten Cafe & Bistro!!!

All the employees were so incredibly nice, attentive, and welcoming! Me and my friends went last Sunday without any reservation. We were a group of 4 and they immediately tried to find a space for us. The food was so good, tasty and amazing portions. But the best part was definitely the amazing service! They even told us about their other restaurant near by. We had an amazing morning, all thanks to them!

I really recommend eclairs and lava cake!! They are above and beyond!! Best in the city, for sure!
Coffee is incredibly good as well.
Also, seating inside feels like you’re not in NY, but at some cozy small hidden place in Europe. ❤❤

Fantastic breakfast! It's so nice to be able to eat anything on the menu since it's dedicated gluten-free. You need to get the tiramisu!

Brunch - blueberry pancakes: these were the tastiest and fluffiest gf pancakes I’ve ever had. Took tiramisu to go, also the tastiest gf tiramisu I’ve ever had (not overly sweet, no industrial taste, moist and full of flavor). Worth the price!

Fantastic place! You can’t tell it’s gluten-free. When they first opened, they didn’t even tell anyone! And nobody knew. 9-18

Finally visited Senza Gluten Cafe and Bakery! Super cute little cafe on Sullivan near Houston with the original Senza restaurant in the next block.

It was a slow night inside the cafe but the food delivery orders kept coming in a steady stream. I sat at the counter and ordered a flatbread style pizza with bacon, cheese, and egg with a very fresh tomato sauce and a salad with tomato and avocado.

The pizza and salad came out quickly and counter service was great. What is really special about both locations is they are totally gluten free. If you have celiac, are gluten sensitive or intolerant this is for you.

The menu has sandwiches, soup, flatbread pizzas and lots of pastries. I enjoyed the pizza and salad but prefer a more Neapolitan style crust as this was truly a bready crust. The salad was perfectly dressed and fresh tasting.

I would highly recommend this restaurant/cafe.
