R & D Painting

Did 2 jobs for me satisfactorily. Last (3rd) job he left unfinished. Don't pay him until you are sure everything has been done. He has not returned phone calls and messages. He took away the leftover paint so I have nothing to finish up with (One wall not covered.) He over-promises and under-delivers. Sorry Rick, but you really took advantage of me.

DO NOT USE R&D Painting and Remodeling. Rick Stevens was referred to me by someone at PuroFirst. Big Mistake. I had him come out and fix some dry wall and paint the whole first floor, about 5,000 Sqft. I had him come while I was out of town with my 3 little kids so they would not be exposed to the drywall and paint fumes. My house sitter was there to let them in and out as they worked for 2 days. He then demanded that she pay him when the work was completed. She texted me about it as I was overseas and told her it was OK as long as he would do the walkthrough when we got back into the states. She paid him in full (BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART). I called him when we got back into town to do the walk through as the work was done VERY poorly and we could see streaks and bumps in the ceiling.Rick never answered my calls or texts. I had to call from a different number for him to respond. He finally answered and said he was really busy doing work for the UofL dorms. I said cool- well lets get together after your done with this job as I know it was a big one. We decided on Aug 22. HE no showed and never answered my husbands or my phone calls or texts. So now we have to hire another company to fix his horrible drywork and paint job. To top it all off he charged us 2X the price that it should have been- his reasoning- 2 coats of paint at 5,000 sq ft = 10,000Sqft of a paint job.. Seriously? This guy is a joke. Go elsewhere.

Ran a stop sign cutting me off in his company van. If he can't figure out that his driving habits reflect on his business then maybe he shouldn't be driving in a marked vehicle for his business. I would never use somebody who is that blatantly rude and disrespectful.

Beware of his hired help,, may want to ask about checks performed on his help and beware if insist on him purchase g paint as part of the job...inventory so it stays on your property, after he inspected job I discovered later work I paid for was not completed and I had to have others do it...did not want to deal with anymore.
