It's a nice place. Safe. Clean. A friend and I stumbled upon Akasha during a day trip to Louisville. Orion was amazing, funny, and extremely helpful. We were trying to get the feel of Louisville and he was down to answer all of our questions. He was so friendly and cute (just an FYI for the single ladies out there).

The best brewery in the state of Kentucky, this place has been my go- to for a number of years. I’ve not had a better Gose in Germany. Never ran into a bad beer here, and more parking than anyone in NULU.

We stopped by last Saturday and were met at the bar by two very friendly and attentive bartenders. The ladies really knew their beer and gave great recommendations based on our preferences. The beer is outstanding, very impressed and found some new favorites. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, the house cat that inhabits the brewery adds a quaint charm. It is definitely a place you can make yourself comfortable and stay a while.

The vibes are amazing - they're on new friends that feel like you made em forever ago. 😊
I also personally feel like they're under-charging us. They sell good portions of craft brews that can suit even the most fruit-cocktail-iest of drinkers, for such a low price! 🎉

Nice relaxing place to grab a beer. Has some games to play, outdoor seating, and beer is decent. Just hoping they have a porter or stout next time I head back.

Friendly knowledgeable staff and a warm friendly environment. Perfect place to meet friends for conversation and fellowship while enjoying a choice of quality beverages at tables, bar or sofas. Although food is not served, they allow patrons to bring their food with them, perhaps ordered from variety of nearby food establishments. Music is offered by talented musician singers some nights, which creates a wonderfully quaint inviting environment. If not a fan of beer, try the lower alcohol kombucha on tap. Chances are you'll discover at Akasha a new place to meet your friends for a relaxing evening catching up!

Akasha was my favorite of the breweries we got to try during our weekend in Louisville. Their Blackberry Sack Lunch was my favorite beer we sampled. It tasted just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Outstanding!
And the bartender was super friendly.

I have never had such a tasty, well-executed gose on tap. This is by far my favorite brewery in Louisville and one of the best I have ever been to even beyond that. We tried 5 of the taps and they were all so delicious. This is a must stop brewery in the region.

I was in town for a conference and visited as part of my usual process of seeing as much of the local craft beer scene as I can fit in with my conference duties. We actually ended up here by accident, having actually come here to go to Feast BBQ for dinner. We could not pass up the brewery next door.
This was a fun place with good beer. We were on tasters only since it was six hours of facilitating trainings the next day, so we did not get to go through as much of the beer list as we liked. It is a relatively typical open-space brewery concept set up, although they have some areas with more comfortable relaxed seating and some games.
The beer was a lot of fun to try. They have an English Mild on brett that was really interesting if you are one of those of us who know that almost all of those old traditional styles got stored in barrels contaminated with brett. This was probably as close to a traditional Mild of the old school that you will find anywhere nearby. The whole range of beer were very drinkable and the range includes something for everyone. The Fehr’s XL is an old school Louisville beer that they are bringing back, which is always nice to see. The Choco-Citra IPA was very good and nicely different from your standard Black IPA styles. They also had a couple of nice guest beers.
The staff was great. The bartender was nice and put up with my beer-nerd questions (made worse because I was sitting next to another traveling beer nerd) long enough to get the brewer into the picture. Rick was nice enough to spend some time talking beer-nerdery and the local craft beer scene.
This was definitely a great place to visit and it should be on any beer nerd travel list for Louisville.

This is the quintessential small craft brewing experience. They were very happy to have folks out. It was Thunder Saturday in Louisville which meant fireworks and airshows. The guys were grilling out brats for free and the brewer was out there talking beer with the customers and partaking in some cornhole. The beer is excellent and the peanut butter stout has the perfect level of peanut butter flavor. The Doppelbock is first class too. I highly recommend.

This is my firs time. I did had my first taste which is Whip it. I couldn't order it because it is sour ale. It was little too much for me. So I ordered Otterfest. And it was just perfect for me. I will definitely come back later to try taste more.

Akasha has a variety of their own beers on tap (12 when I was there last!) as well as guest drafts. You can do a flight of beers for $2-3 each and try as many as you want. The staff and owner are extremely knowledge about their products and beer in general. They also have various board games and skill games to play while at the bar

Great beer. The brewers have a very distinct style from anyone else in the city, with a menu including Gose, usually some kind of bretted ale, great darker beers. Their oktoberfest is a standout. This is not a restaurant, so there is that, but they sit in a sort of triangle of three great restaurants that either deliver or do carry out.

Let me preface by saying this is a very young brewery, not even a year old yet. And not all of their beers are quite locked in. I have tasted Gose #1.5, Gose #2, and Gose #3: loved two of them and did not care for the other. TL;DR: YMMV

Thankfully, the staff has always helped me find a very tasty beer every time I went. Their current Gose recipe is phenomenal. They typically have an interesting, tasty, well-balanced hoppy beer as well. Dog friendly. They have some snacks for purchase, but bringing your own food or ordering delivery is perfectly kosher.
