Okay its review time for my favorite hardware store in town.
This little store and all of them helpful employees in this great hardware store. They deal with the strangest people. I'm talking about me. I keep buying nuts and bolts and hoses. For my project. As a startup field technician. Computer Guys can benefit from the kindness and all of the goodies I used in my Beautiful Machine. Project Omega. Thanks a Ton Girard's Hardware Store You Guys are Exclusive to Louisville.

It's such a friendly environment, with gentlemen sitting up front, being helpful, having a great time while at work. No matter what I need to get, they dont try to UP-sell—only find specifically what I need.

Honest, and they saved me quite a bit of money. These are the small businesses that we must keep in business.

Update:04-19-2023 Very grateful to have this hardware store here! Very nice people, cheaper that other place on Southside, heck, they have good products, not knock off DoWhatever, junk brand. I've been shopping local (brick and mortar) more lately, and it has been saving me a ton. Plus you get your needed items faster and with a good ole' fashion smile. No hours of weeding through broken search engines. I can't express how grateful I am to still have a local store to walk in to.

A great hardware store. The people working are always fairly knowledgeable enough to be able to ask their advice on something you may be working on. And they always know where to find everything which is nice because they have such a huge selection of stuff in this store that it can be difficult to find little things on your own. Everyone who works there are super nice too.

I just moved from the area & will miss having this place up the street from my 🏡. They not only had what I needed, but the staff are friendly, helpful, & care a lot about their customers.

Support locally owned stores I rather see the money stay in the community

I love local hardware. So much better than big box places. Need one of something random. They got it. Bend a mower blade once a month. They got it. Girard's has never let me down. Thanks guys.

Great people... Very helpful and friendly. They always get me together no matter what my needs are. I can take a piece of plumbing hardware in there.... No clue what it is or how to fix it. They tell me everything I need to know, find my parts it whatever it is and give me a price I can't beat at any local hardware. Girards has been around forever. My mom tells me how she remembers her dad going there for stuff around the house when she was a child. That was many years ago. I always stop at girards first when I'm in search of anything home or hardware related... Whether it be a light switch, a faucet set, a screwdriver, a box of nails, paint, propane, even parts for my mower and my kids 4 wheeler sometimes, depending on what it needs. Girards hardware is a long time staple in the beechmont community.

I live nearby, and it’s great to have a hardware store close to me. These people are fantastic! Super helpful, super friendly, and full of experience to share, too.

Staff is very knowledgeable. They still sell screws and nails by the pound. Beats the hustle and bustle of bigger hardware stores like Home Depot and Lowe's

Local hardware store Girards has been a small business in the community for at least 40 years.Girards hardware store is small but don't worry about them not having a wide variety of hardware needs. Just about every inch of space is used to display and offer their wares for sale. With a pleasant greeting the staff makes you feel welcomed and are very knowledgeable and can answer just about any questions you have about your projects and the supplies to get the job done.I recommend checking out and supporting small businesses in your community and girards hardware gets 5 stars for being a outstanding community businesses.

Very friendly and helpful! If you don't know how to do something chances are they will and they will explain how too in detail. My personal favorite hardware store.

This is the place to come if you want something done right i visited 3 other big box stores to have keys made all 3 did not cut the keys right

one walk in the door of Girards the gentleman cut my keys correctly! Try Girards before you waste the time and money on big box stores.

Local hardware stores are the best. Girard's not only has what you need, their staff has the knowledge and care that large chains lack. Been going here for twenty years.

It has been many years since we have been to Girard's. We were good friends with Mike when he opened the store many yrs ago. Way to go Mike. We need to touch base again!

Nathan is an amazing young man. Knows a lot and can determine how and the parts needed to fix a project. Roy is also a good one to help. Fine people and are very nice.

Service at its best! Every single time I walk in there the staff is great! I love to support local and they always give me a reason to want to go back.
