The food was amazing. The goat cheese appetizer was great! We sat outside, and it was incredibly pleasant. It would be a great date night place to have dinner and sip some wine.

The pasta is delicious here. My husband and I usually stick to our regular restaurants but we were drawn in to Mercato's for their Mangia Monday special. Mangia Monday is $10 for the pasta of the day and a glass of wine.

The pasta we had last night was freshly made pasta with carmelized onions, peppers, and their house blend sausage. It was so good! Their daily menu looks amazing, there were so many things that we wanted to try. We really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely come back to try some of their other menu items such as the gnocchi, their pork chop entree, etc.

This is the greatest pork chop I've ever had in my life. I can die happy knowing I had this first. I am NOT kidding. Literally the best ever. Get it, love it, eat it.

Manager Peter was excellent to work with when I contacted him about food allergy accommodations prior to our visit. When we arrived, he personally came to our table to go over options, and we felt confident that he’d ensure a safe meal for our daughter. The food was delicious, the outdoor dining setup is great, and our server provided the perfect amount of attentiveness. We will continue supporting this awesome local restaurant!

This was the best restaurant experience my wife and I had on our trip to Louisville. Not only was the food delicious but, the way the staff accommodated us was above and beyond anything we could've hoped for. From the hostess to the owner everyone stopped by and ensured we were having the best possible dinning experience. I look forward to going back to Louisville in part of my desire to go here again.

Mercato is a great spot whether you’re looking for a dinner to celebrate or a casual lunch or dinner. Their salads are excellent. They make their own pasta and it is the best in Louisville. My personal favorite is the pork chop. If you’re looking for something casual their pizza is also top-notch. They have an excellent wine list and a couple of very good ones on top. They also have a good selection of bourbon.

I just moved to Prospect, KY from New York one month ago. My friend and I just enjoyed dinner at Mercato Italiano Trattoria and it was phenomenal!!
We had two appetizers (meatballs and a scrumptious scallops dish). I had salmon (to die for) and my friend had short rib ravioli. The restaurant itself is so chic, dressed up in red and black and the chef (Matt) checks up on you to see how you like everything. We LOVED everything! Everyone is friendly, food is outrageously great and as a former New Yorker, I can honestly say it is on the same level as any great NY ristorante. And Seth! Thanks for being a great waiter!

Visitors from out of town here...so glad we found this spot. What’s not to like? Food is top notch with a nice selection - Branzino to spaghetti to short rib ravioli, pizza, all done Italian style! Great wine list, and much more. Wife had a chicken dish with risotto “as good as in Milan”, mine was plentiful pasta Bolognese. Leave room for dessert! Wonderful food, excellent service, very nice facility. Next time we do outdoor (rainy day for us). These folks care about their clients and their food.

The staff was so friendly, and accomodating. The food was exceptional.

We ordered the Rigatoni with Bolognese (Table favorite), the short rib ravioli, and the Lasagna. All of the dishes were fresh, prepared well and we're shared around the table.

Our compliments to the Chef! We knew we were in the right place as soon as we tasted the Mercato meatballs with fresh ricotta & the warm Italian bread! Lasagna also was wonderful. And the cheesecake with raspberry sauce & whipped cream was the perfect ending to a most delicious meal. Mercato Italiano is a gem. We definitely will be back. Grazie also to our server Debbie for terrific service.

The best lasagna. Friendly staff. Love sitting at the bar. Chef Matt is very personable and professional who takes customer feedback seriously. He loves to personally get that feedback live in the dining room. Nick is always around to take care of us as well, he seems to keep moral high and great rapport with the guests. Keep up the great work!

My wife and I tried the $10 Monday night special which includes an entree and complementary wine. A great deal. Our server, Megan, was a delight. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and just as gracious as one could me. We'll be back.

I’ve eaten here a few times but I want to recommend the Sunday night special, Nonna’s dinner. It’s a fixed menu, served family style. The food and service were very good, and it was a fun thing to do with my family to close out the weekend. Portions and prices are incredibly fair, but if you have a dietary restriction, they advise you call ahead. There are two seatings, and, in true Italian fashion, they prefer toy to make a reservation for this meal.

AMAZING food and staff! This is worth the drive to Norton Commons. They offer Vegetarian and Gluten Free options as well, so all guests will be accommodated. They also offer anything on the menu in the Market. All pastas are handmade in house and their ingredients are genuine Italian Meats and Cheeses. Check it out, you will LOVE it! This place stays packed on weekends with regulars, so I recommend making a reservation

I have a pretty wide pallett for food and what I have tried. This cook has hit everything 100%. Pairing non traditional items in a traditional way. I grab onto my fork food with full trust that it will be an amazing combination. Should I say this was my first time here? So impressed, I am writing a review after my main course. Onto dessert....

Finally found a place that makes fried goat cheese and they were AWESOME! My son was cerebrating his 26th birthday and wanted Italian food. The black ink pasta was delicious, he was very impressed to see it on the menu. Perfect portions. My brussel sprouts were a tad on the small side and thus they roasted down to a nibble but the polenta made up for it. Yum all around.

The food was beyond fabulous and the portions were huge; we shared a salad and entrée and still took some home! The steak was the best either of us have ever tasted. Our waiter was absolutely charming as was the décor. We've invited friends to join us there soon! Great addition to the neighborhood.

Cute space, friendly service, and wonderful food! My mom and I split the prosciutto salad and spaghetti and meatballs and really enjoyed it. FYI the meatballs are a bit spicy (as in red pepper flakes, I'm a spice wimp). The spaghetti in pomodoro sauce was my favorite part.

Ordered delivery during second covid shutdown. The food was absolutely delicious! You could definitely taste the pasta was made in house, and the bread was fresh. Will definitely eat here again!

Was there for New Year's Eve. The food was phenomenal. I mean it was absolutely the best Lobster Ravioli I've ever had or could ever ask for!!! That being said the food was outdone by the service itself. One of the best dining experiences I've had.
