Steve's Downtown Music

Over from the UK and spent a happy 2 hours in here. Steve was incredibly helpful in finding albums for me from my shopping list.
Came away with some nice condition records at a fair price

Cozy little place in downtown Deland. Was able to get my Tortured Poet's Department vinyl on record store day! Will be coming back for future record releases!

Lots of musical treasures at some really good prices (i.e., cheaper than I could find online, with the instant gratification of getting it in person! :D ). Fun vibe, well worth the search.

First time going to this store. Me, my wife and son literally bought about 10 albums. The prices are very reasonable with lots of selections from every genre. The man who owns and works in the store is very kind and welcoming. Has a great love for music and what he does. Great atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.

This is legitimately one of the best places in Volusia to go if you like all forms of music. 8-track vinyl 45s cassette LaserDisc other memorabilia like music pop figure is end posters and equipment to play your music on everything.

The people that work there are so knowledgeable it's almost overwhelming in a great way though. It definitely makes you very indecisive on what to choose because they have so much amazing stuff.

I was so happy to find a record there I had been searching for, for years! I love the hunt for great records and finding them in local shops. Steve is the absolute best. Man is just so passionate about what he does. There’s a bunch if great finds at his place and Steve is also up for putting an order for you and even order things he thinks you may like. I love this place. I highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t already.

I haven't been to Steve's since I left Orange City in 2008 but it is good to see that this legendary store is still up and running and hopefully has many more years to come

The absolute best record store I've been to in Florida. Steve was a blast to talk with and he ordered a couple obscure albums for me on the spot. If I didn't live 90 minutes away, I'd be there every week.

Fantastic store. Sadly I didn’t get to spend as much time as I would have liked, as I wasted all my time down the street at “groovy records”, with rude employees and a weaker selection. Let me just say, in comparison to that place, this store is for the REAL music fans. Laid back vibe, super causal and nice employees, and great prices. Will definitely be going back very soon!

Steve is a amazing human. I’ve been going to Steve’s Downtown Music for 15 yrs. now and he has always been stellar and has maintained the coolest record store Deland ever and will ever have. I’ve had photo shoots and music videos shot here, bought my first records and posters as a kid and met many cool people. This shop should be a Deland treasure.

Steve is the best, he’s very knowledgeable when it comes to music and his suggestions are always great. He is very easy to talk to, I always look forward to talking with him. I’ve special ordered some records from him and never have to wait long for them to come in. He always has the most amazing selection. I ordered Electric Wizard’s Dopethrone and was stoked to find it near a Sleep record. I also found a Chelsea Wolfe cd, what a sweet surprise. Coming here is always the hilight of my day.

Located in quaint downtown DeLand, is Steve's Downtown Music. Stocked with new and used albums...Including many original releases and Mobile Fidelity pressings. There is quite a bit of 70s and 80s music, of all genres. I purchased Pink Floyd's 'The Wall.' This is a fabulous pressing of the 2015 remaster. I am very impressed by the quality of this merchandise. Stop by and say hello to Steve, and buy more vinyl! Unfortunately, the store is too far away for me to visit again. Also, the new vinyl prices are quite high.

Awesome Record Store in Downtown Deland. Steve is the best, very knowledgeable/down to earth kind of guy. We’ve been coming here since we moved to Deland. If you want it, he probably have it, if not, he will get it for you.

Steve's Downtown Music is a local DeLand gem and I've been privileged to be a regular here since I was in high school. Steve is knowledgeable about new releases and knows exactly what he has in his collection. He participates in Record Store Day and Black Friday and if he ever does not have what you're looking for he will special order it for you. I ordered Sturgill Simpson's album Sound and Fury most recently and look forward to hitting up this shop for future additions to my collection.

I read a previous review claiming to be overcharged on a few albums purchased here. As someone with experience spending hours on Discogs and meticulously inspecting and pricing records in the past, confidently I can say that Steve's prices are more than fair and I have never felt like I paid too much for a record here. I've fallen victim to false claims and improper pricing at many other record stores in the area and have finally learned my lesson. Steve's shop is a place operated under integrity and genuine enthusiasm for music.
