Pyng Ho Chinese restaurant

The food here is incredible! We have ordered takeout many times from this restaurant, but we had never actually eaten in before. We made reservations for a large party and they were super accommodating!

I've never had anything I didn't like from their menu. I got the drunken noodles with chicken this time and they were amazing.

This is a delightful hole in the wall and I definitely would recommend them to anyone who likes Chinese food!!

My staple Chinese food spot. I love this locally owned restaurant. The food is always great and the service is friendly. Great spot for lunch or a dinner with friends.
They are closed Mondays.

Alwats our go-to when craving Chinese or Korean. Everything is so good. This family has been delivering great food and service for ages! 5 stars every time.

Been going here 25 years and my partner almost 40 years. Chinese food is fantastic. Everything is made from scratch including egg rolls and dumplings, Some nearby places serve premade frozen stuff and pass it off as authentic cuisine.

The basic and familiar dishes are good, but be imaginative and try their rotating specials. They are a bit more pricey but outstanding.

Some dishes to consider:
Phoenix and Dragon
Mu Shu Pork
Drunken Noodles
Any scallop dish
Mandarin Chicken

Since everything is made fresh and from scratch, you may wait a bit longer than if you dined at a nearby competitor where their food sits under hot lamps or is in a freezer.

The dining room is plain, BUT do not let the décor dissuade you from perhaps one of the best Chinese dining experiences in the metro area.

My favorite Chinese place not on Buford Hwy. Great food and a true family run operation. Service is friendly but the speed of service is slow just because it takes them a while to cook the food (pick up is often an hour after you call).

Great Chinese food overall. Seasoning and typical vegetables that merry for a tasty dish.

Although the decor is old, (it's like going back to the 80's pretend you are in a time machine) THE FOOD IS AMAZING! We look forward to our take out nights from Pyng ho. Our favorite currently is Five Spiced Tofu and Pork with Slender Bamboo Shoots. The pork belly and kimchi is also a family favorite.

We were mostly alone one quiet night and we enjoyed the meal and the service. We will go again soon.

Authentic, delicious, and so flavorful you WILL put this on the places to go weekly! The “Ho” is about as tasty as it gets. We love the honey walnut shrimp, garlic shantung chicken, and the dumplings!!! Really we haven’t had a bad dish and never will! The staff is also top tier and work super hard.

My new favorite Asian food in town! I’m vegetarian, my husband eats meat. They have so many choices for both of us, including an entire vegetarian appetizer menu and thorough veggie entree section. The flavors were all incredible. We had delivery and everything was packaged very well and hot and fresh. Can’t wait to try it in person and try all the dishes!

Very good food. They have regular crowd of people: that come all the time. They just need more help: so they don't ignore new customers like me. Food was amazing. Too bad the green tea ice cream company went out of business. It would have been a nice dessert.

The black tea was very good as well as the flavor and food. Server was wonderful too.

Visited last minute with a large group (20+) and they were so accommodating. Beautiful presentation and delicious food. A favorite of family I was visiting and I can see why. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

We love the Ho!!

My wife and I come here at least once a week and it’s always good. This isn’t some chain-style Chinese restaurant. This is a family business operating in Decatur in the same spot since something like 1979. They make everything by hand and they are good at it, specializing in Northern Chinese. The owner likes to challenge himself too and will mix cuisines if you would like. I asked if he could do lasagna dumplings and he said of course he could. Give him some notice and see what he can do for you just for fun. Cant go wrong on the menu either.

Good wine and beer selections. They can also mix you up a cocktail or two.

The owners are delightful and the food is DELICIOUS. My favorite dish is the house made pork pan fried dumplings (guotie). There is no where else in the area that makes these fresh and with the same quality. My husband loves the Lazi Jiding and garlic string beans. They make both authentic dishes and Chinese-American classics. There is something these for every craving.

Only problem I have with. this restaurant or the calamari was not good

Pyng Ho is the best Chinese food in the Atlanta area that I have found. Every dish I have eaten there has been spectacular. The sesame chicken is unlike any other I have eaten elsewhere- it is ever so slightly breaded and crispy. It's delicious. The service is always exceptional, and prices are very reasonable.

My favorite Chinese Restaurant by far! The flavors are complex and wonderful. I recommend the cumin lamb and Szechuan numbing dishes. The green beans and tomatoes and eggs are great for the table. I’ve always had excellent service and great conversations with Steve, the phenomenally talented Chef.

Some of the best Chinese food I have had. The beef ribs are incredible, as is most of the food. The twice cooked pork belly is something you have to try, it is an incredible dish and a way that I have never had Pork Belly.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in all of Atlanta! My family has been coming here for years and it's always a crowd pleaser. The staff is attentive and if you're like me and always order the same thing they'll soon remember your go-to choice. Try the egg rolls, hot and sour soup, and Moo Shoo Pork!
