Was looking for a place to stay a few days while visiting. Before leaving home my husband found this place and seeing the outside of the place I was really skeptical about it. We saw the pictures and when we got into town decided to book a room for a couple of nights. Walked in to the office and the owner came in and we spoke for a few minutes. He was very personable and nice. Let us know what room he was staying in just in case we needed anything. We got to our room and were very delighted with how clean and roomy it was. The shower was hot and the pressure was awesome. We really enjoyed our stay, it was close to where we were visiting. Being so close we found some other great places to go while visiting. We definitely will be back.

This probably the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. We don’t normally book “budget” locations but decided to on a whim when we saw reviews. My wife is extremely picky and a bit of a germaphobe—even she was impressed.

The people saying “don’t be fooled by the outside” are right, but really even the outside just looks like a normal budget location, nothing bad at all, so I think that’s worth saying.

The rooms are extremely clean. They’re very nicely remodeled. This is on par with much more expensive locations. You can tell the owner takes pride in the property.

If we come back this way we will definitely stay again.

If you aren’t sure, don’t don’t normally book budget locations, this one is the one to book.

Great time. No issues. Peaceful. Great wifi. Dimmer lights. Great shower pressure. Owner is very generous. Definitely cares about his property an his customers. Gave the option of viewing the room before purchase. My fiance says we will definitely be returning when we are in the area for an extended time. Can't believe I randomly found him on Google. Was a little worried with the way traffic is for the turn in but that my anxiety issues in heavy city traffic. Don't let the appearance scare you away. This is a great place to stay.

Stayed at the Baton Rouge budget inn . On Florida blvd. the owner was always on site and did a great job assisting with any questions or needs. Very helpful with local dining etc. rooms newly remodeled, clean quiet out of the way area. Because it is off the beaten path you will have to drive alittle bit to eat, but the peace and quiet at night worth it. Had a great stay.

First of all, the owner is the best customer service I've EVER had. He truly cares about his tenants. We ended up going to a friend's place due to a nearby incident, completely out of the control of the hotel. This incident was nearby, but not on hotel property, which had good security cameras and aware staff, but was enough to make us uncomfortable about the part of town in general.

The room was AMAZING for the price, and the owner even upgraded us for free because he had the availability.

All and all, I would have enjoyed a multi day stay here, and the value was amazing.

With so many good reviews, we were sceptical at first, but this motel really is a lucky strike! The rooms are newly renovated and very clean. The owner PJ is very dedicated to offering guests the best comfort.

Went down for a wedding. Greeted by owner at our rooms. Rooms are beautifully redone. Very clean. Stayed 3 days. Rooms cleaned daily. Kitchens clean. Convenient to church and reception venues.
Would stay again.

I was looking for a hotel for a quick overnight stay. Unsure about this hotel, I called the hotel right away to ask questions about the hotel. The manager invited me to come take a look at the room that was available, when we arrived the manager quickly greeted us and showed us the room that was available, to my surprise the room was very clean. Unfortunate my cousin called us and offered a night's stay at her home as an option, however, due to the clean room, professionalism and caring manner of the manager, I would recommend this hotel for a night's stay.

The location isn't in downtown type area but let me tell you. These kind folks have worked hard to make this place great. The rooms are beaten and the owner is exceptional. Please don't pass this by. You'll miss out on a great experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site manager made sure we were comfortable and gave wonderful customer service. The room was clean. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay again.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel twice...the first time was this past summer and the second a few days ago...both times we were welcomed by the manager who offers to show you a room up front...the pictures are no lie...the rooms are so nice and clean...amazing prices...we absolutely love this hotel and are glad to see the manager cares about his property...I wish they were a part of choice hotels so we could get points because that's the only reason we don't stay at this hotel our entire time when we visit BR

Bed is pretty small and firm. Not what I’m use to but I made do of it. Pillows were super flat so I would recommend you bring your own pillow. Owners are cool and they live on the property. Great budget room for business trips and such.

I stayed here a week ago, and I wanted to say how great this place truly is. I was a little unsure how good this place would be due to the lower price, but it was honestly a great value. The rooms were well maintained and on the newer side (hotel manager said that they were recently renovated). We were here for a soccer tournament, and this place also had laundry on-site. Laundry was about $5 for one wash and dry cycle, but the hotel manager covered it personally. The only slight downside is that the location is a bit further from downtown Baton Rouge (20ish minutes), but if you're looking to save a bit of money and don't mind the distance, this place was great.

Upon checking in the manager was very helpful and detailed! The rooms were very clean and they had everything that we needed! We had a great stay, and the price of the room was very affordable! Glad to have stayed here! Thank you to the staff!

We were absolutely shocked at how nice this motel room was! It does not look like much from the outside, as the building is old, but the grounds are clean. We were passing through the Baton Rouge area after leaving New Orleans and looking for an affordable place to stay. Just to give you an idea - I'm usually not one to stay in older roadside motels, but I will certainly revisit this place if I'm ever in the area again.

We stayed in the king and twin bedroom with kitchenette(full refrigerator, 2 burners, full sink & microwave - dining table for 2). Absolutely worth the money and was recently renovated. There are 2 TVs in the room and the twin bed is essentially in a separate bedroom, although there is no door. Each room had its own dresser and wall unit for climate control. The whole room was spacious, as was the bathroom. It was extremely clean! Blow dryer and basic shower supplies provided. The owner stayed on-site and was very friendly/accommodating. He even provided his room number in case of any problems. Plenty of parking right outside the room door and it was quiet at night. The owner seems to really take pride in the property. Highly recommend this Budget Inn!

Just FYI for owner - one electrical outlet in the bathroom seemed to be out.

Best motel I've ever stayed in and rooms were remodeled and looked fantastic and they did away with those 70s style itchy bed spread you see in the pictures and upgraded to the black spreads which were really nice it is right next to a busy highway so sleeping in past 8 would be a challenge overall great experience and cheap.

"Don't judge a book by its cover." This place may not look like it on the outside, but the inside has been very nicely redone. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The area is quiet. Manager is always on site and helpful. I stayed here for 11 weeks in a row while working in the Baton Rouge area and would recommend to anyone. Definitely a good find and very reasonably priced.

Best place I have ever stayed. The owner really cares about his guests and rooms. Great place for a quick stay or for weeks on end. I stayed here a week, loved it, a co-worker found me something cheaper (it was awful) and I was back the very next day. The owner made my check back in incredibly easy and even helped me carry in my bags. It is quiet here and relaxed. Don't go somewhere else. Check this place out. Also wonderful for long term stays.

Definitely a hidden gem. Completely remodeled rooms with quality workmanship and a modern look. And a very fair price considering what it costs for materials and labor nowadays to fix a place up.

Also, don't book online. Call the office and talk to the owner. The online booking service is a scam and they will charge you an extra $20.00 that you don't need to pay.
