Woldenberg Park

A small but beautiful park at the end of Canal St, looking out onto the Mississippi and Algiers Point. There are several monuments, plenty of benches to sit and watch the ships go by, and a decent sized grassy area, all with easy access to the French Quarter. It’s near the aquarium and ferry to Algiers Point as well, so it’s a great starting off point for a lot of activities.

We had a great time relaxing here and enjoying a rising full moon. However, if you have the unfortunate of being there when the Natchez starts with its deafening and awful whistling that seems to go on forever, I feel bad for you. Regardless, it’s an enjoyable park to relax at and take in the Mississippi.

All of the public amenities, bathroom dog park restaurants, and walking down on levee along the river. The area was very lovely with an outstanding picnic and play area for the family plus safe. The paddle steam boat Natchez is well worth a trip! From boarding the boat to eating the lunch( crayfish, corn bread, jambalaya, gumbo, potato salad and bread and butter pudding. All very tasty). The tour guide was fun and informative!

Great place for a walk as a turist. Great green areas, close to Bourbon street. Not too crowded. Clean.

Nice two and a half hour trip on old man river the muddy mississipi.with the added bonus of visiting the battlefield where the British got beat by the yanks..

This is such a beautiful oasis on the edge of the city. You have the river on one side, a pocket of calm greenery and then a view of the city beyond. There are statues and small fountains through out. The path is smooth and easy to navigate.

Wonderful place to walk along the river and catch a ride with friends on a paddle boat.

Waldenburg Park is a great spot to really take in the mighty Mississippi you'll have seagulls and pelicans flying about and the charm of the people around you. You can catch a ride on the Natchez or take a Leisure stroll along the riverwalk. I must see stop to complete your journey around Jackson Square and the French market.

A waterfront park along the Mississippi. This park connects French Quarters to the aquarium and shopping. From this park, you can watch river boats and ships travel up and down the Mississippi River. You can view statues as you stroll and relax in the seating along the walk.

Nice walk along Mississippi river. Perfect day time or evening activity. Steam boat terminal is here.

Really nice riverfront park with benches and searing areas to chill.

Went fur Lundi Gras and it was spectacular. The vibe was so powerful very energetic place.we danced and listen to music and enjoyed the park. We seen Queen and K8ng Zulu arrive on the boat.

We went here when we were getting ready to hop onto the ferry. Nice and peaceful during our walkthrough. Pretty nice views although we did not stick around very long because we didn't want to miss the ferry. If you have some extra time and are in the area I'd say it's worth a quick walkthrough... Total disclaimer tho because I really didn't do much here lol...

Pick up and drop off location for gray line bus tours. Convenient parking. Restaurants and shopping.

It was nice. The new years eve firework show was outstanding.

What a fantastic discovery at Woldenberg Park near French Quarter! The sunset stroll along the Mississippi River was simply mesmerizing, with Jackson Square adding historic charm.

It is more of a riverwalk with live music and street performances, especially during the French Quarter Festival. The park includes several art installations: notably the Monument to the Immigrant and Ocean Song. Whether you're biking, walking, jogging, or just unwinding, this riverwalk oasis is a must-visit.

Woldenberg Park is a medium sized public park along the Mississippi river. We enjoy walking along or sitting beneath the many live oaks and crepe myrtle trees. There is also a large grass field for pick nickers or play. Be sure to look for the bronze statue of Mr. Woldenberg sitting on a bench and speaking with a young man. A nice park to visit.

A beautiful walk along the Mississippi and some beautiful artwork and sculptures. If you’re looking for a great spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon brew, this is a peaceful place to watch the action on the river.
