K. Hovnanian's Four Seasons at Kent Island - Single Family

Just moved into our condo here in mid-June. This place is fabulous. We discovered this new community last fall while looking for a place to relocate to on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The condos are fabulous. We bought a 2 bedroom 2004 square feet ground floor condo that has a view of the Chester River. Our condo has a 1 car garage and its own storage room. But the most exciting thing about this community are the amenities. There is a huge club house with a game room, gym, event rooms with large screen TVs, indoor pool, outdoor pool, pickle ball courts, dog parks, beach with fire pits, propane gas lightable fire pitts and much more. This is a mostly 55 and over community with condos and houses available to purchase. The views of the Chester River are fantastic and this place has turned out to be everything we ever wanted.

We searched and searched and kept comparing everything to this community. We LOVE our new home and we love our community. The K Hov team has always been responsive and helpful and we are extremely happy with our choice!

Khovnanian Homes is a quality organization from top to bottom. The sales representative (George Zachos) went well above and beyond his duties and was ALWAYS available, even on his days off. The workmanship was quality throughout. We purchased our last Condo from Khovnanian and found the same dedication to quality in this Condo. We would happily recommend Khovnanian to anyone looking for a new home!

We purchased a ready to move in condo from K Hovnanian. Our sales consultant Dylan was professional, efficient and very responsive during our purchasing experience. We are excited for our new life here on the 'shore' or as we like to think 'our island'. We are looking forward to the community club house due to complete next May.

I was thinking of relocated. But than i change my mind i'm just not up 2 making that hall all by myself. Even though i'm never truly alone cause God got me.

If I could give zero stars I would. They build pretty homes with shoddy workmanship. Zero quality control. The only people who were helpful never stayed with the company. Too many issues to list. The items they addressed in our warranty review were not satisfactory. They never followed up. The warranty is expired but we have outstanding issues. I can name the names but I’m still hoping they may make things right. If you have 700k to spend on a home you have better options. And in response to Khov’s response to this review: all warrenty items were NOT fixed. The toilet seat was broken when we moved in. Micheal said it is not covered. Our Crape Myrtle tree is dead. We reported it before warranty expired and Micheal said he’d reach out to Denison Landscaping. Never happened. One of the pillars out front had a large chunk missing. A guy came and patched it but nobody came to repaint it. The barn doors in our office never worked right. Steve finally installed an extra piece as a bandaid fix but it looks ridiculous. Our dishwasher quit working well before the warranty was up. The GE tech replaced the part and khov sent someone out TWICE to put the dishwasher back in the cabinetry and it’s still crooked. Even worse after the second try. So NO. The warranty items were not all resolved. No one has reached out to us since this review was first posted. I’ve given up expecting anything from khov but don’t Lie in response to the review.

Love the community. Great floor plan. Quality of the construction and the commitment to service from K. Hovnanian? Not so much. Many homes with multiple issues that take months to address or fix. We have had multiple serious problems with this house - too many to mention here. We are 1.5 years in and just this week I find vinyl siding coming loose and water coming in around our patio door. Another recent development... KHov had to fix improperly installed water heaters in some homes. They put in power vent water heater exhausts. My neighbor's exhaust is pointed right at our house. We hear the roar in my office while working, while watching TV, and on our front and back porch areas. I am told by KHov that this is "normal." It is not normal to have to listen to a neighbor's hot water heater. And, of course this is not something Hovnanian cares about or will look at.

UPDATE: Every response is the same. We are contacting local management. Guess what? Local management is the problem, not the solution.

UPDATE 2: See? The typical KHov response is that they have reached out to local management and that they will reach out. It has been a month. No one has reached out. And no one ever will. Why? Because they do not stand behind their homes and do not much care what we as residents are experiencing. I paid way too much for this house to have to listen to my neighbor's water heater inside of my house. Ironically, my neighbor cannot hear it. Well played KHov. Take the money and run.

Steer clear from KHov! Bought a house from them in the Four Seasons community on Kent Island, Maryland. Quality is horrific. Even worse, trying to get them to make warranty repairs is next to impossible. Closed in May. It's now October and I'm still waiting for many things to be done. I have not talked to a single person in this community that has anything positive to say about KHov. My house was supposed to be completed in January and was 5 months late. Amenities center was supposed to open in May. It's October and still NOT open. Yet we are still required to pay for it monthly. One thing they do very well is overpromise and under deliver. Just one more of many examples - the refrigerator did not work when I moved in. They promised a replacement within a couple days. After two weeks of living out of coolers, I bought a refrigerator at Lowes and it was delivered to me in 1 day. Why couldn't KHov do that? KHov delivered the replacement refrigerator to me 2 MONTHS after they told me I would have it within a couple of days. Kept telling me it would be any day for 2 MONTHS. So many quality issues, including sloppy paint and caulk, very poor dry wall finishing, wood trim not cut properly, railing spindles crooked, electric receptacle & switches cooked, . . . I could write a book about all of the misgivings of KHov and the poor quality of work. Beware before you do business with them. I would not let KHov build a dog house for me, much less recommend them to any one.
