Veritas Gateway to Food & Wine

Had a spectacular visit here a few years ago and just came back. Same warm atmosphere and great service, fine dining but without the stufy-ness of other fine dining places. And of course you have to mention the food. Stellar! And they have a take home section if you want some take out to enjoy later. Why don't more places do this??? Our daughter was in a mood, so thanks to Jordyn for being gracious w our cranky child.

The menu changes weekly, and is always fantastic! The worst part about eating there is deciding which awesome dish to order. The bartender is highly skilled, offers a weekly menu of his special drinks and will mix you up anything you can name. The wine list is good and pairs well with their dishes. Servers are skilled, courteous and efficient. I love this place!

I’m writing a new review because I visit this place every-time I’m in Missouri and I have wonderful food every time. This time I tried the burger. It was so perfectly plated at first i didn’t want to eat it because it was a work of art. This burger was flavorful. I usually ask for no sauce but forgot and my burger was fine. there wasn’t too much aioli right amount of cheese, tomato jam, and pickled onion. I also kale salad yeah you say anyone can make a kale but this one is delicious. I think the roasted nuts brings out the flavor. the chefs continue to amaze me. they were also kind because im not a fan of goddesses dressing that comes on the salad and said i take it plain but the chef knew he needed something to massage the kale. he used olive oil. salad was amazing.

The foods and atmosphere are wonderfully combined that felt like home. We will definitely come back.

Food is absolutely fantastic. My families favorite place to eat since the experience is consistently great! The menu is always changing and never gets old. Everything is fresh and lovely:)

Incredible and creative food and cocktails. We had a holiday gathering for 14 in the bar area and were served a buffet of more than 10 amazing dishes with delicious cocktails. We will be back!

Omgosh. Everything is AMAZING! The chef is creative and the taste combinations are a delight. Have to say the same about the bartender. Creative and delicious drinks. Service is top notch. Do your self a favor and GO!

Such an amazing dining experience. Food was phenomenal, drinks were spot on, and service (Adam) was engaging and on top of everything. Cannot recommend enough. You will not be disappointed. We will certainly be back.

I cannot believe we have lived just down the street from this place for 10 years and have never tried it. I've noticed some complaints in reviews about the atmosphere and decor, but these are the exact things we found charming about Veritas - it's a very homey, unpretentious atmosphere. The food was unique and incredible. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious (wish I'd taken pics), from the appetizers, both of our entrees, and the carrot cake dessert. The only complaint we had was that everything took so long (but this was actually also nice because it extended our date night dinner for longer than it otherwise would have been). I think there was probably only one waiter serving the entire dining room, but she was working very hard and the owners were also helping out where they could. We will definitely be returning!

Go for Sunday Brunch! Wonderful, relaxed brunch today. Enjoyed secret ingredient Bloody Mary’s, Shrimp burrito with homemade mole, oh and the French toast with warm, spiced fruit. Just lovely!

Two couples and longtime friends enjoyed a delightful and delicious dinner at Veritas on Sat, May 6, 2023. We arrived at 6 and left at 8:30 pm. Service, drinks & food were all outstanding. Atmosphere was perfect. We were given free cheese samples with drinks before dinner. Highly recommend. We will return soon.

Best strip steak I have ever had hands down. Service was exceptionally great! The staff and owners were personable, warm and very welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for high quality food and excellent service!

We went in for brunch. Cozy yet upscale atmosphere. He ordered the frittata and I was in more of a lunch mood so I ordered the burger, it was phenomenal! Jen was our server and she was very knowledgeable of the food and menu. When she found we hadn't been in before took the time to go over the dinner menu with us as well. Food and service were both 5 out of 5 for us, we will definitely be returning for dinner!

Another fantastic meal at Veritas. Just a quick brunch and completely astonished by the avocado toast with crab remoulade. Loaded grits were amazing as well. Great wine selections to pair with everything. Phenomenal as always.

Exceptional food and atmosphere. We have eaten dinner here many times and never have been disappointed: all menu options are delicious and the service is excellent. We have also taken lots of family and friends so they can experience what we love.
Today was our first day at brunch and again, we came away with full bellies and a smile on our face!! Keep up the excellent job everyone!!!!
