We had a party of seven, two children. Delicious food! Excellent service! I was so great to eat fantastic Chinese Food at a sir down restaurant. The staff was wonderful!

Legitimately good Chinese cuisine. Yen Ching has been a neighborhood staple of what Chinese SHOULD taste like. The interior itself is somewhat dated but nowhere close to falling apart. Parking is not optimal, but a small price to pay for great eats. The prices are on the moderate side, I wouldn't put the price points at expensive, but this isn't the cheapest place to feed a family of 5. Overall, the service and food are excellent. You will not be disappointed with your order.

They brought hot tea out right away, and they have all of our favorite dishes. The food was terrific and came in large portions, so we all left very full. My kids are already talking about returning on our next trip.

Yen Ching was one of the first places I tried after moving to the city, and they have some of the best Chinese food. The portions are huge, and everything tasted much better than your typical takeout. The service was also great, and when we couldn’t finish our food, our server packaged everything for us into little to-go boxes. They’re right across from the mall, and I would highly recommend stopping by instead of trying to wait in line at a food court. It’s well worth the walk across the street.

Ate lunch today with the wife and even though it's been10 years since last visit; it is still our go to Chinese restaurant when in St. Louis. We had the Mongolian beef and it was excellent. Place has been remodeled and it looks great. Glad they still have the jerseys there.

I've been dining at Yen Ching for better than 40 years and am always satisfied.

The pot stickers (get a side of hot chili oil) are the best in town and Yen Ching beef is perhaps the best Chinese beef dish I've ever tasted.

I love the snow white chicken. It's simple but delicious. Always fresh and a velvety sauce to complement the crisp snow peas. I have only eaten this. It's so good that I never order anything else.

They've been open for 40-50 years. Very consistent taste. Love their food- sizzling rice soup, potstickers, Mongolian beef, eggplant, hot braised fish

Absolutely delicious. We ordered at least 6 different options of beef and chicken entrees along with lo mein and a variety of fried rice. Each one knocked out out the park, flavor-wise. Also, not greasy or oily which I really appreciated. And great egg rolls, too!

Food is excellent. Facility is upscale mom&pop recently remodeled. Prices are a bit high, but that is mostly location. Parking can be a problem, depending on time of and which day

No joke guys. Best Chinese food I think I've EVER had. It was a very traditional set up, pot of hot tea on the table, homemade sauces. Large menu. It didn't make me feel bloated like most Chinese food does. It's been there for 42 years, the owner told us. Loved the round gathering tables for bigger groups. Traditional decor. Dine in or carry out or order to go through a delivery company. Was 50 bucks for dinner for 2 with an appetizer and the tip but I will def be going back again and again. The crab rangoon was nice and well done and the fried rice was to die for.

Very hole in the wall but one of my favorites in St. Louis. The staff may be "to the point" but are very friendly. Overall a great experience and a treat for me. Be careful, they are closed on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.

This Chinese restaurant has been a family favorite for years and it never disappoints us. We have celebrated many birthdays and anniversaries at Yen Cheng. Family favorites are pot stickers, crab Rangoon, egg rolls, sesame chicken, and spicy crispy beef. Everyone from the owner to the servers and helpers are extremely polite and helpful. Keep up the great food and service!

This place is absolutely delicious! Came here for my father-in-law's birthday, and was blown away by how amazing even the potstickers are. It impressed me that they made the mushu rolls for us, everyone automatically got hot tea, and service was courteous and timely. I highly recommend the Yen Ching beef!

I go here every year, it's quaint and colourful Chinese decor is always nice. It's quiet and the food is phenomenal. Yen ching beef, pot stickers, green beans and chicken lo mein. It is worth the years wait every year. The only problem is the restrooms, broken door, gross toilet, and sink is gross too. It does not stop me from dining here.

This place is a little hidden gem! Their food, especially the sesame chicken, is delicious! They serve you hot tea with your meal and the waiter and host are always super friendly and nice. The place is rather small as it is more of a 'hole-in-the-wall', but it is very much worth it.
