This is our favorite restaurant in Asheville. It is so much better than any food over at the Biltmore or even downtown. They have the best staff and best food. We love to go here for bunch and oh my gosh is it good. Our favorites are the boozy French toast, fall spice cake (this is a must. Sometimes it’s not on the menu but you can ask!), chicken and waffles, and the daily eggs Benedict. I love the fries extra crispy instead of the breakfast potatoes. Our waiter our first time here recommended the switch and we haven’t had anything else else.

This is great for a date night or place for the girls. It’s a little pricier (20ish a plate) but so worth it. It can fill up fast but we come at odd hours or as soon as they open. Couldn’t recommend corner kitchen more.

What an introduction to Ashevilles food scene!!!

It’s nearly impossible to formulate into words the culinary experience my lovely wife and I had at the “Chefs Table.”

Enough cannot be said about the entire team; how they complimented each other and worked so well together.

Matt really personalized our experience, and had a way of making us feel right at home, right at the “chefs table”

Whether it was his recommendations, paired with experience and knowledge and/or laughter we enjoyed along the way, Matt made it special! He is a huge asset to the industry, and this culinary destination!

Friends, foodies, this is a must try in our opinion. Oh, we’re only here visiting for a short time, but we intend on returning a few times before departing this beautiful area.

Just know the food is outstanding, this Vanderbilt Martin was as well! Sarah our host rocked the front house, and that Kitchen had a beautiful flow!

Thank you so much Matt, Sarah, and the entire Corner Kitchen team.

Definitely a culinary experience and evening we will forever treasure.

Cheers!

The best sawmill gravy I've ever had.

Had the chicken and waffles, the gravy was sweet with a slight pepper to it. The chicken was fried prefect: crispy outside and still juicy. The waffles were light and fluffy. The whole dish was tied together well. I can't recommend this place enough. Do try reservations. We went on a Friday for brunch and got real lucky.

We visited the Corner Kitchen for dinner after our elopement ceremony! I was fortunate to get a reservation just the day before. The staff was so kind and welcoming. They all congratulated us as we were still wearing our wedding attire. They were SUPER busy so the service was a tad bit slow, but we had everything we needed. I was able to note my dietary restrictions with the reservations and they confirmed them upon arrival. There were plenty of gluten free options available for all courses! We shared an appetizer, ordered separate entrees and separate desserts.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! The food is amazing and service is highest quality. Atmosphere is relaxed and upscale. We were lucky to sit at a high top across from the kitchen and had the opportunity to watch some of the food prep! We had a charcuterie which was imaginative and very tasty. We also had the Winter Squash Bruschetta and the Beef Short Rib Wellington, both were amazing! Our cocktails were delicious- the Vanderbilt Martini and Merry Old Fashioned! This will be a regular visit for me when in Asheville! Do yourself a favor and get to the Corner Kitchen QUICK!

We came in at breakfast for mimosas, wound up reserving a table for dinner, and it was absolutely worth it!! Had the lamb shank, the trout, the mushroom dusted scallops, and the crab chowder. It was ALL so delicious 😋 paired it all with "The calling cab sauv." And it was a perfect meal!

Such a nice brunch spot! We had biscuits and gravy as well as the French toast with grits. Both of which were incredible, the Biscuits and gravy were perfectly seasoned with the Biscuits being light and fluffy. The French toast was equally as good as it being just as fluffy as the biscuits, and the portion was wonderful! The service was great as well, with our waitress being so helpful and quick.

Cozy atmosphere with top notch service. The menu is concise but exquisite and everything that was brought to the table was delicious. Definitely worth a trip.

It can be hard to get into as tourists love this spot. The wait can be long during peak times, but it is definitely worth it!
We made a reservation for the patio at 5:30 pm and secured a nice end table which was perfect as we dined with our 70# Doodle.
The open air patio was very comfortable as the heaters were on. As the evening progressed and the sun goes down, Asheville air can turn very chilly. Then the motorized panels form a wall to block the chill to keep the patio warmer.
This place never disappoints! Service and farm-to-table food are always on point!
The chef started everyone off with a bite of his creation. Beautifully presented Cucumber slice with creamy Goat Cheese, Blueberry Balsamic and a microgreen. All of the flavors worked in this tasty bite.
We selected appetizers of Scallops. My only regret was that I wished there were more! Very succulent and made more tasty with the thick, flavorful add of a small piece of bacon on top. The creamy sauce they floated in was not overpowering nor overdone.
As I have become more serious about being gluten free, the menu had some great options. I have had the Pecan Encrusted Trout before and it is divine, but not gluten free. The menu states this can easily be made gf. The kitchen did a beautiful job with an herb seasoning. It complimented the rest of the plate beautifully & tastefully with the Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Browned Butter Green Beans.
Gluten Free dessert was the Molten Lava Cake served with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. We chose to share & I had planned to only take a bite, but it was too good to stop! Hubby was disappointed! Next time, I will opt for my own as it is a small dessert.
Our server was fantastic in taking care of us and managing all her tables. Very friendly as well and accommodating in bringing a large bowl of water for our pooch. All the staff we interacted with at our table helped make this experience very pleasant.
Highly recommended place but the secret has been out for many years now!

First time here & it did not disappoint! This place was recommended to us for brunch or lunch.
The boozy French toast was excellent and my husband had the red pepper omelet, which was also just as delicious!
Next time we come, we will definitely come back here!

Corner Kitchen is an absolute favorite of ours in Asheville. Until recently we had only been to the brunch which is amazing every time. We just went to dinner there for restaurant week and it was incredible. The corn and crab chowder was AMAZING. The fried green tomatoes and empanadas were fabulous and the coq au vin was incredibly tasty. AJ our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. CK stays our go too!!

This may have been one of the best dinners I have ever had. We went for our anniversary and tried the seasonal sangria, trout, grilled coulotte, and lava cake. Each bite was better than the last and left us in shock over the flavors and textures. Our server was so sweet and attentive. I can say we will absolutely be back and cannot wait!

Our experience was great here. We arrived here the day before Thanksgiving and sat at president Obama’s table. Our waitress, Hannah, was nice to us. Being a family of six, the place was comfortable and cozy. I would recommend the Reuben sandwich and the others listed.

This beautiful place is a slice of Heaven for sure! I had the best Boozy French toast (not your normal French toast) ever! Don't let the name scare you off... It was so lite that it was like eating a cloud surrounded by beautiful berries & homemade whip cream! A little tip-ask for the berry jam to put on the French toast! Fabulous!
My Sissy had the other meal attached which was as great!
If there is only ONE place you can eat in Asheville-eat here! You won't be disappointed! God bless all that prepares & serve this wonderful food!

The pecan-crusted trout with mashed sweet potatoes was excellent. Arturo was polite and efficient. Prices are a little high but the food and service were worth it.

Chill old-house vibe.

My favorite dining experience, and we tried many. Cool restaurant with a lot of history. Very friendly and knowledgeable server. I got the House Made Corned Beef Hash (Red Bliss Potatoes, Poached Eggs, Horseradish Aioli, Chives, Rye Toast) and it was outstanding. We also got the Biltmore Berry Crumb Cake (Jersey Style, Cream Cheese, Mixed Berry Swirl, Macerated Berries, Powdered Sugar) which was amazing. My wife got the special which I don't remember the exact description for, but was an eggs benedict with a bacon jam - perhaps the best food we had the entire time. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Asheville.

Absolutely delicious!! I’m so glad we made reservations and this was our last restaurant of the day as the prior two was not satisfactory.

Food was fresh and the food was full of flavors. I ordered the crispy calamari kale salad which was not overly doused with dressing. The calamari was crispy, salty (good season) and tender while the crush from the pepita balanced it out.

My entree was the vegan lentil enchiladas and that “Queso” was everything! I had to ask for some on the side.

I left full and satisfied. Great first trip in Asheville.
