This place has quite the inventive menu! We enjoyed everything we ordered, I was very impressed with the lobster bisque. The curry mussels were unique and delicious, the beet salad was fresh and beautiful, the dumplings were like eating an Asian pot roast inside a delicate dumpling skin. The star was the pork chop (I forgot to take a picture because I was too excited to try it 😂) I highly recommend this one of a kind restaurant. The cocktails btw were so delicious, I’ve never had such interesting mixes of flavors. I will be coming back!!!

Jane was our server this evening, and she was wonderful. Very charismatic and sharp, proactive with explaining the menu and clearly knowledgeable about the dishes they serve.

This was a fantastic, well rounded dining experience. The menu (for this fall) was perfectly sized and creative while also staying grounded. I got the Salmon, and…wow. I usually don’t order salmon because I haven’t found a place that makes it better than my mom’s. This dish was amazing, and perfectly portioned with a unique mix of flavors that worked really well together. I also tried the lobster bisque and it was great too. Lovely dessert selection too, they make everything in-house, down to the creative ice cream of the day. Presentation of the plates was also gorgeous.

It was busy, a reservation is definitely recommended, but the staff managed very well considering. The energy was great and it was clear everyone was enjoying themselves. The decor was cozy while also feeling up-to-date and clean. Good, gentle lighting. Music was good volume too.

I would definitely come back to this place and highly recommend it to anyone in the area! Thanks to the staff for great service and the kitchen for all their hard work.

Amazing food and staff! Woody and Brad were exceptional! We had so many things and shared them. Shrimp and Grits, Lobster Bisque, Cauliflower, Truffle Fries, Petite Fillet, desserts, drinks, and more were fantastic! Some of the best food we've ever had! Definitely recommend coming here!!

The food was delightful! Megan, our server was great! She was very attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant is warm and beautiful. This is a must visit restaurant when in Ashville! We will go again next time we're in town.

Delicious food with fresh ingredients! We came for brunch and enjoyed the chef’s special- lamb tacos with rabbit jus as well as chicken and waffles and mimosas! The service was on par, the food was delicious, and the vibe was high!

More of a 4.5. Service was excellent! Food quality was good.

*Heirloom tomatoes and Burrata was delicious! The tomato's were perfectly ripe.
*Petite filet, my husband couldn't say enough about how perfect his meal was.
*Linguini and crab was ok. I think it was more of a texture thing for me, I prefer my pasta al dente.

We were so full from our meals that we just shared a scoop of ice cream. But that dessert menu looked amazing.

We would definitely return if we're back in the area.

Wonderful atmosphere. Impeccable service. Incrediable meal. Highly recommend lobster Bisque and the bloody mary. The Pork Belly Eggs Benedict was delicious as well.

WOW. I ate here for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. Excellent wait staff and nice atmosphere. The maple dessert at the end is a MUST! We will definitely revisit

Decided on a whim to drive to Asheville for our anniversary. Chose Chesnut as our dinner place and it was beyond belief. Great atmosphere. The food is 5-star and the service was excellent. We will be back soon!

Chestnut has BRUNCH!!!!!!! That is all that really needs to be said. Chestnut is a solid restaurant and they just recently added BRUNCH!!! Get the donuts!!!!!!!! Amazing chicken and waffles, buscuits and local pork gravy, crab Benedict...no bread, soft poached egg on a CRAB cake...you get crab. The lobster bisque and breakfast salad we nice. The breakfast sandwich (no pic 😞) was an over easy egg on a beautiful croissant (City Bakery) with meat or vegetarian substitute. Reservations accepted!!!

Every time we come to Chestnut we are impressed with the creative dishes that are wonderfully balanced and beautiful in presentation . It is hands down our favorite restaurant in Asheville. Our server Samantha was expertly attentive and knowledgeable with a great personality

Celebrated my amazing wife here on Mother’s Day. Brunch at Chestnut ended up being a fantastic choice. The attention to detail was readily apparent - everything we tried was visually stunning and beautifully satisfying. The ambiance was welcoming. Service couldn’t have been better, and the complimentary rose at the end was a lovely touch. Thanks, Chestnut, we’ll be back!

The food was so amazing I had to close my eyes. We left there nearly dead because the taste was so amazing. We had the charcuterie board, truffle fries and burrata and beet salad. I forgot to take a picture of the salad 😞

We ate here while celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and it was amazing! From the time we walked through the door, everyone we came across greeted us with a smile. It felt as if they were all genuinely happy to be there and to have us there, too. I can't recommend this place enough.
Oh, and the food was just as wonderful the people working there!

I was saving a visit to Chestnut for a special occasion. We finally stopped by for an anniversary dinner and now that we’ve been I can’t wait to go back!

This restaurant has the whole package. Delicious food, fantastic service and a lovely atmosphere.

Now that we’ve been, I look forward to stopping by on a whim and grabbing a seat at the bar and enjoying a glass of wine and a small plate. I can’t wait to stop by for brunch as well.

Chestnut is a wonderful celebratory restaurant. Now that we’ve done that I hope to put it in our regular rotation.

Couldn’t have been a better meal. Our server Samantha M. Helped us make the most out of our experience by guiding us through the menu and giving us fantastic recommendations.

I had an incredible mahi mahi plate and my wife had scallops and every aspect of both our meals was perfect! I couldn’t have asked for a better dinner on my wedding anniversary trip!

The food was so good that I forgot to take pictures!! We started with truffle fries and drinks then continued to entrees. The truffle fries were crispy and full of flavor. I had the duck it was tender and delicious. I highly recommend it. The drinks were a bit strong if you aren't someone who drinks frequently but very well done. Our server was extremely sweet and attentive and we never waited for anything even though they were extremely busy. We enjoyed every second of our dinner here.

Everything was excellent. There's no use discussing the particulars about the menu, as it changes every month. But we ordered quite a bit of dishes and it was all perfection. Even the vodka gimlet! I love it when there are light slivers of crushed ice at the top.

I ordered the Autumn Verlasso Salmon. It was cooked perfectly, and it came with delicious sides. However, I did not like the Lemon Sage Mascarpone that accompanied it. I found it uninteresting and thought it was not a match for this entrée. I finished my dinner with the Banana Pudding, which was absolutely fantastic.
