This mall is like entering a time warp to about 1974. No viable stores, mostly just offices now (I don't even think the tag office is here anymore), but VERY clean and well kept. Even the plants in the seating areas are well cared for. You wonder why they go to all this trouble because I can't imagine how they profit since no one is there and there is no shopping to be had. This mall has an awesome late '60s - mid '70s decor and color scheme. The faux "colonial" look of some of the storefronts screams 1960s but otherwise more '70s. Weirdest of all, the ancient working PA system was piping in music from the mid-70s last time I was there. I wonder if that was deliberate. It's a creepy experience, but awesome.

Went to this area to go to the plasma donation center. This location is easy in and out. Can sit outside to wait to either go in or wait for someone who does. With that there's no complaint.

It was fun to go and visit this mall. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go in. I was saddened by that. They had all the doors locked. There is stores like big lots and office depot and a few others you can visit. You just cant roam the halls of the mall itself, for whatever reason.

Oh! Me! Lerd! Where do I start? I wanna hire a lawyer and sue Disney for making false claims because THIS is the happiest place on earth. I started out my morning at the plasma center, they are giving $100 for your first visit. I then went over to ingles next door with that $ and bought a big box of wine and then figured out how to rig it to my head like a big floppy beret so I could enjoy hands free sipping from the nozel for the rest of the day, with the other $80 I bought all of the christmas cards that were on clearance and then a bunch of random toys and stuff. I then went back to the Innsbruck mall already starting to buzz pretty hard because of skipping breakfast and the plasma donation of course. I met a guy who I think... Maybe was homeless but I couldnt tell for sure offered me a smoothie, (my main evidence for him not being homeless because how could he have made a smoothie?) It was delicious and it did help fill the drunken calorie hole I was falling into. 45 minutes later however things got different as I learned that the guy had put about a quarter ounce of mushrooms in the smoothie. I ran up the broken escalator to go find some alone time in a quiet corner of the upper level, I spent nearly 3 years alternating between writing christmas cards to hypothetical people and making snow angels on the cool white industrial linoleum flooring. In between waves of what can only be described as near psychotic intense hallucinations and gastrointestinal stress I gathered up the courage to go back downstairs to where the stores are. I went in and out of them handing employees and customers alike the cards I had made and some of the toys as it seemed appropriate. By 2 in the afternoon I was most of the way through the wine and the effects of jah fungus were finally down to manageable. I curled up behind a ficus tree and rocked occasionally. I made sure to verbalize everything I was thinking so that passers by would know I was ok. I cant wait to go again!

This is a mall that is on THE CUTTING EDGE of American malls. Only trouble is you might need to use their valet parking services, because there might be No Parking available. I've battled the crowds here to get a license plate and to get a great haircut at the Carolina Beauty School. There is also a Christian Book Store that I haven't had the pleasure of visiting as of yet. As part of their fringe amenities there is also a moving staircase which I am told is called an "escalator". If you're in town don't miss this awesome place!

I am rating this 5-stars only because it is like stepping back in to history to the 70s when time stopped. There are a few shops in it still - I know a beauty school, unsure what else. It is like visiting an abandoned place that is holding on to a thread to be not abandoned. It was doomed to fail from the beginning though because the Asheville Mall was build around the same time. :(

I know Malls are almost obsolete, but this one has great stores and super friendly people working there. There are cool shops with local items, Eddie Bauer and a super StarBucks. Also, love the Hallmark store.

It's a good shopping center but most of it's It's kind of dying the Big Lots you can go in and get a little bit of everything and they have got a Office Depot there for any of your computer supplies and I think there's a dollar store there but it's it's good.

I love this place and am so glad that there are still small shops to frequent along with the Big Lots and Office Depot. Innsbruck Mall is definitely part of Tunnel Road history.

Revive this mall! A really cool space that is so so under utilized! Really cool glass ceilings, planters every few feet, and crazy interesting shop fronts. Boutiques take notice, this mall is amazing!

This is without a doubt one of the unique sight seeing places in Asheville still off the beaten path so to speak. As everyone else has mentioned it is mostly empty now, dead but still open. This mall is a true architectural gem that is just waiting for the right people to come in to give it a little TLC and bring it back to life. I see huge tourism potential in this rare classic mall, likely one of the last handful of mall's remaining from the late 60s to early 70s left in the nation, let alone still open. I hope the city of Asheville does something inovative with it, repurpose it into something most other town's don't have, keep it alive with unique shop's, and add table tennis and other game's like they have done in the Johnson city Mall. Perhaps a dinner theatre could be in the downstairs or a skating rink, an Asheville themed glow in the dark putt putt mini golf course. Something one of a kind instead of what most other town's do and have done, too much new construction is a bad thing. If you are visiting from out of town I highly recommend stopping by and taking a walk back in time down the hallways of the Innsbruck Mall.

Staff was super friendly. Disappointed a lot of shelves were empty. I wonder if they are closing since the mall has been purchased?

Great place to come for a quick and easy shopping experience with a store that sells pretty much anything you would need or would want to have!

This place is historic. A snapshot in time, from another era, perfectly preserved, now known as one of America's top "Strange Malls."

Not too many stores remain. The few that are there are nice and have friendly people. If you include stores outside the actual mall you have a few more good choices.
