We were so pleased with Sam & Dave’s Auto Sales. Jonathan was great to work with and had very fair prices. We did not feel pressured. We purchased a 2017 Honda Odyssey that was in great condition. We had one issue and they were prompt to resolve it and give a vehicle to drive while they did it. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again in the future.

Sam and Dave's is filled with the most understanding and kind people. When we went to purchase our most recent vehicle from them they were helpful and knowledgeable. They supplied us above and beyond help when things weren't 100% perfect and made sure to take care of us/ get it exactly right and up to expectations. I couldn't be more grateful we chose them to be our car dealers. Will definitely be recommending them to anyone who is on the search for a vehicle. Truly wonderful experience.

We stopped and looked at a jeep on their lot. Justin was very professional and answered all our questions. Good atmosphere and not like other car dealerships where they are hovering over you and making you feel like you have to buy something. Just wish they still had that jeep!!

Great experience! My husband and I looked high and low for another truck. We found what we wanted online at this dealership. We drove about 300 miles to purchase the vehicle. We were in and out in less than an hour. On the way home the a/c went out. We called them and they didn’t hesitate to tell us to bring it back and they would fix it. They definitely didn’t have to do this. Some other things were found while they were fixing the a/c and they took care of that, as well. That is what I call good customer service. Justin and Dave were very professional and really went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. I would recommend them in a heartbeat! 100% SATISFIED!!!

Low pressure sales, which influenced our decision. Bought a truck for my daughter from here. Had an engine issue a week after purchase and Justin handled the situation and sent to their mechanic promptly. Truck was ready in time for trip to FL without issue. Would recommend this dealership!

I shopped every car dealer with a prominent online presence from Middle and East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, both Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida for a used Tacoma. For the features I wanted -- crew cab, 4x4, premium suspension package, and low mileage, most dealers were either at or not far below blue book value. I contacted Sam & Dave's through their website and got a fast response from Jonathan. I called him and explained what I was looking for, suggesting a price I could pay. He was direct and no-nonsense in responding with the lowest price he could offer, with no sales pressure whatsoever. I struggled over the next week to find a better deal and failed thoroughly. My credit union loan agent was even impressed with the price. Jonathan continued to honor the price he quoted me with steadfast honesty. There were no doc fees or any other unpleasant surprises: the price he quoted was the exact dollar amount of the check he accepted (not including tax and tags of course, which I'll handle at the county clerk's office back here in TN). He even agreed without debate to fill up the gas tank, give it a wash, and replace a missing tire valve stem cap while we completed the sale. If the type of vehicle you're trying to find happens to be on this inconspicuous 1/2-acre lot, give them a call. I doubt you'll find a better deal anywhere in the Southeast. At least I couldn't, and it wasn't for lack of trying.

If you're looking for an honest, fair and great car buying experience, give Sam and Dave's a try. I've bought several vehicles from them and always refer my friends and family, they are great people always very helpful and knowledgeable. I never write reviews but my experiences here warrant a great one. Hands down, they are the best car dealer in western North Carolina.

For what it lacks in luster on the outside it makes up for in customer service, speed of sale and price. No dealer fees helped a lot. John was a great help.

Update: Johnathan, was very concerned about the issues we were having and gave me a loaner vehicle and fixing my vehicle! What a great place to buy! I will definitely go there when my daughter is ready to buy. Great people 😁

Hands down the finest pre-owned dealer in asheville. They sold me a Honda CR-V some years back with 120k on it. My wife gave it to our daughter in law with 300+ on it. My son bought a little turbo Subaru some time ago and has had zero problems as well. They where upfront about that car needing a few minor things and he bought it any how. Fixed those issues and has been a great car. I just bought a truck from them and it has been GREAT. Not EVERY dealer knows every little deatail about every car on the lot. When you are selling cars they come and they go. You do the best you can when buying and selling a car you really don't know anything about. Every person trading one in says it was garage kept and adult owned. So folks I will continue to do business with Johnathan his dad and family for many years to come. Thanks Joey

We just recently purchased a 2008 BMW Z4 from Sam & Dave's. We love the car! we got a great price and great service! This car was in almost perfect condition for a used car. Even if there had been a few issues, which there definitely was not, we do realize that a used car is just that, a used car! We are greatly pleased with our car and the service! I recently purchased a 2007 Ford Ranger from Jonathan Barr, there was none of the high pressure experienced at a Hyundai dealer who went to excessive levels to drag me off the lot just to give me a price for a used truck there. Jonathan and team were more than helpful in putting everything together for me and fixed a couple of minor problems without any arguments. Buying a used car or selling one always carries some risk but these people handled everything professionally and to my satisfaction. Maybe I was just lucky, but I don't think so, and would definitely consider them again in the future.

I found a vehicle I was interested in on Sam & Dave's website. I was not familiar with Asheville area or purchasing a pre-owned vehicle but I'm glad I made the drive. I ended up purchasing the exact vehicle I was looking for because of the pleasant no-hassle atmosphere, great price and friendly Owner and Associates.
