Megan Colliti is an absolute treasure! I recently moved to Hickory, and had pulled out my hair extensions (weaved in) as they were getting too tangled, and I wanted to give my fine hair a break. My dark blonde roots looked dark next to my now-brassy highlights, and my hair was all uneven at a short bob length, and looked like a kid had cut it. I called The Headshop as it is directly across the street from my apartment, and my brother had a good experience there. I was still nervous, but spoke to Megan on the phone about my extension nightmare and after making an appointment for highlights and a cut, I asked if she did extensions. She said yes, but the tape-ins, which I had a handful of left, and asked if I could bring them just in case maybe they'd work. She said yes, and the rest is an epic Hairstylist Success Story. Not only did Megan do my highlights perfectly, (which I am very particular about, bring references, and still stylists have made me brassy), she was able to tape in my remaining extensions seamlessly. The color of my highlights blended perfectly, the tape was not visible, and I felt and looked like a new person. Not only did Megan take her time, she was pleasant and I didn't feel like I'd been in there for 5 hours. Almost a month later, my hair still looks amazing and none of the extensions have come out as they did immediately after getting them done before. My friends were amazed at how real and flattering they look. She is PHONOMENAL, and has
gained a loyal client as well as anyone looking for referrals
The salon itself has a chic decor and friendly staff, which was beyond refreshing me, especially after living in NYC for 25 years. This was the ultimate hair makeover. Thank you again, Megan, you're a rock star.

We were very fortunate to have found Mark at the headshop. My husband, brother, sister and I all go there now. Love the atmosphere and hairdresser. Prices are very good too.
